[19:19] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Our wastelanders are taking cover on the far side of a bridge from a sniper.
[19:21] * North_Star was resting against a wall while Blackberry_Jam looked at his brand new bullet wound.
[19:24] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam's quick work with her namesake feel better bandages has done an admirable job closing up the wound. The enemy weapon is silent, for the moment.
[19:25] * Blackberry_Jam thinks now's a good a time as any for a fresh cigarette. "So... This isn't an ideal situation... North, what have you got for explosives?"
[19:28] * North_Star pulled out the Grenade rifle from his satchel. "I got this thing, a couple bricks of C4, and powder sticks."
[19:29] * Blackberry_Jam has no idea where he keeps getting this crap, but presently doesn't mind. "How do you feel about taking that building down?"
[19:30] * North_Star chuckles lowly. "I do have a love of blowin' things up."
[19:32] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The shooter is a /long/ way away in a heavily leaning skyscraper across the bridge, about 400 feet away. They are sheltering in what was the lower level of a hotel, the building being essentially gone in the shadow of a large, decrepit, skyscraper
[19:35] * Blackberry_Jam frowns a little. She tries to remember what the area ahead of them looked like, if there was any sort of cover to be had between them and the sniper.
[19:35] * North_Star thinks about the buildings he saw across the river. "We.. Might need somepony more.. Geometrically inclined to shoot this thing." He suggests. "It's more that a stone's throw away, if I remember."
[19:36] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam visualizes the field of fire between them and the shooter. This side of the river has several building between ten and fifteen stories, as well as the big one near them that stretches up nearly five hundred feet, thirtyfive stories.
[19:37] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The shooter is somewhere inside a fourty story tower across the river, leaning dangerously away from them.
[19:39] * North_Star sets the rifle down next to him, thinking of a plan or two.
[19:40] * Snack_Cake is more than a little nervous right now. "Well... I do have this..." She raises her hoof with the pipbuck on it. "But I don't know if I can hit something so far away..."
[19:41] * Blackberry_Jam shakes her head. "I wouldn't want to make you do that, Snack... Let's see if we can get through to the other buildings. " She ducks low under the windows. "Stay away from the windows."
[19:41] * Canary looks at Snack_Cake's Pipbuck. "Ooh, shiny. What's it do?"
[19:44] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The ramshackle remains of the hotel they are in provide enough cover to make it to the tall building behind them. Several other buildings are close, but would require them to cover some open ground.
[19:47] * Blackberry_Jam uses that cover to her advantage as she motions for the others to advance.
[19:47] * North_Star herds the group behind Blackberry_Jam, keeping his head down low.
[19:49] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The group make their way into a foyer, a large reception desk standing ahead of them with a skeleton sitting in the rotted old chair. The creak of metal grinds in their ears as the low wind make the weak old skyscraper sway.
[19:50] * Blackberry_Jam looks around at the crumbling remains. "I'm thinking, North, that none of these buildings are going to last very long... If we can persuade the one the sniper's in to fall..."
[19:52] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder slips inside with the rest, Blue hops free of her saddlebag and slinks around the lobby.
[19:52] * Canary moves closer to Snack_Cake, staring curiously at her Pipbuck
[19:52] * Snack_Cake is very uncomfortable at that.
[19:54] * Canary doesn;t seem to notice, and waits for an answer to his question
[19:55] * Scrap follows right behind, keeping watch. There's not alot that he can offer here.
[19:55] * Blackberry_Jam looks around at her possible exits from the lobby. Most hotels had lots of exits off the lobby other than the front door, right?
[19:55] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue makes his way over toward the far wall, worrylessly trotting under Scrap on the way over.
[19:56] * Scrap looks below as Blue flies under him. He's frankly amazed that he is since he didn't seem to like him before.
[19:58] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Looking around, this building look more like an office building than the hotel they just came from. A crescent reception desk dominated the area in front of them. Two large elevator doors stand, one on either side. The first floor is very open, pillars scattered around bearing the load and little cosmetic features scattered about.
[19:58] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue seems intent on something else, not seeming to care that he brushed against Scrap. The little critter is sniffing the air and staring at the wall as he walks.
[20:03] * Scrap continues to watch him search around that area, curious about what he's checking out.
[20:04] * Blackberry_Jam is looking for /exits/. Elevators and architecture be damned! However, she /does/ check to see if the elevators go down, or work at all.
[20:04] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  As Blackberry_Jam looks around, she spots an unlit sign hanging behind some tiles of fallen ceiling. It reads 'Exi' and points off to the left.
[20:05] * Canary continues looking at Snack_Cake's Pipbuck, waiting for her to explain what it was and what it does.
[20:06] * Blackberry_Jam makes not of the "Exi" sign and will investigate it once she's done with the elevators.
[20:06] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Scrap watches Blue as he crouches down and prowls forward, belly low. He pounces toward the wall, striking it at speed, a claw plunging through the drywall with a pained squeal. He claws at the wall, making a hole to draw out the impaled radroach.
[20:09] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The elevators don't appear to be powered.
[20:09] * North_Star glances over at the familiar squeal to see Blue cathching his prey.
[20:10] * Blackberry_Jam tries to pry one of the doors open, then. When unpowered, these things were usually pretty easy to open.
[20:10] * Scrap watches a little fascinated by his hunting.
[20:11] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue starts draining his victim with his long canines. Rusted beams exposed in the hole he made. It seems water has been flowing inside the walls for a /long/ time.
[20:12] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam easily opens the first elevator door. The car hangs there, stuck between this floor and the first basement.
[20:13] * North_Star walks over to the wall, inspecting the beams with a 'Hmm..'
[20:14] * Blackberry_Jam turns her head around, looking around for some stairs. There's a basement, there's got to be some stairs.
[20:17] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The second elevator door is still closed. With some more looking around she finds a moss-covered pictureframe with the fire evacuation plan. It's mostly obscured.
[20:18] * Snack_Cake turns on her pipbuck light to help Blackberry_Jam look around. She isn't sure if it'll help, but she does it anyway. She says simply to Canary, "It's like... a terminal, but you wear it around your hoof. It tells you lots of things, and has a lot of features..."
[20:18] * Blackberry_Jam wipes away the moss with her hoof, then. She knows the stairwell /should/ be nearby.
[20:20] * Canary blinks. "Cool. How did Stable-Tech make a terminal portable?
[20:21] <Canary> "
[20:21] * North_Star rubs his chin, "That's odd.." He muses to himself.
[20:26] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Wiping away the moss, Blackberry_Jam can see there is a large conference room to the left of the reception desk, with an exit to the outside marked. There are stairs to the left of the elevator shafts, hidden around the corner.
[20:27] * Canary seems a little disappointed that Snack_Cake wasn't more talkative about the curious tech, so he looks around the office for something else to tinker with
[20:27] * Blackberry_Jam whistles to North_Star. "Hey Hot Shot, take a look at the exit in that conference room." She points towards where it's located. "I'm going to have a look dowstairs."
[20:29] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue looks up, his stomach growling audibly. In a blur, he darts at the hole, his long claw piercing the brittle rusted beam. There's another squeal and another meal for the critter. Thunder_Strike notices it as well as she makes her way over toward Scrap.
[20:30] * Snack_Cake wouldn't know how to answer that anyway. Sure, she knows quite a bit about Arcanotech... but she's not a historian.
[20:32] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The door to the stairs doesn't budge on the first push.
[20:33] * Scrap blinks. Watching him was rather enjoyable. He prides himself on being a good fighter. His master did say that he could learn things from animal predators.
[20:33] * Canary checks the reception desk for a terminal
[20:33] * Blackberry_Jam presses on it a little harder. There's no way they'd /lock/ stairs!
[20:35] * Thunder_Strike watches blue for a moment then sits near the bucks nearby and listens.
[20:37] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue hisses, his claw pulling free without the prize through the puncture in the beam. He bashes his stinger against it, knocking chunks free to get to his meal.
[20:38] * Blackberry_Jam groans in frustration. "Any one of you stallions going to help a lady out, or are you just all going to admire the scenery?" She huffs.
[20:38] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary turns from Snack_Cake to see behind the desk. There is a terminal there.
[20:39] * Canary checks to see if its functional
[20:39] * Snack_Cake has been with Blackberry_Jam, she frowns and asks, "Maybe we both can get it open together?"
[20:40] * Scrap blinks again and runs over to Blackberry_Jam. "You need help? What can I do?"
[20:40] * Blackberry_Jam chuckles. "On three, you two." She braces against the door. "We need to get this thing open. I want to take a look down in the basement."
[20:40] * Thunder_Strike walks over to blue. having trouble little fella?
[20:40] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Unlike the elevators, the terminal seems to be powered. Maybe a secondary power source? Perplexing.
[20:41] * Canary blinks, checking to see what he can find, or whether or not he needs a password to get in
[20:41] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue is hanging onto a vertical beam in the wall. He's been striking the rusted, brittle metal to try and knock a big enough hole to get to the radroach he killed. He looks over to Thunder_Strike pitifully.
[20:41] * Snack_Cake steps in beside Blackberry_Jam, ready to help push.
[20:42] * Scrap braces with Blackberry_Jam and pushes on her command.
[20:43] * Thunder_Strike looks at the wall then smiles, ''can't get it huh? alright move outta the way an ill open the wall more.'' she says pulling out her old Bowie knife to cut away at the drywall.
[20:44] * Blackberry_Jam puts her shoulder into it. "One... two... THREE!" She pushes with all her might!
[20:50] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder_Strike cuts here way into the drywall, revealing more of the beam and a dead radroack. Wiring runs down along the inside of the rusted I-beam
[20:50] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The three press hard against the door, it flexes, but doesn't open. Something must be piled up behind it.
[20:51] * Thunder_Strike looks at the wiring and wonders where it leads. she gets the radscorpion out for blue too.
[20:53] * Blackberry_Jam frowns a little and thunks the door with a hoof. "Well... Guess that's not going to work..." She silently curses whatever divine being decided to block this door. With a sigh, she heads to open the other elevator door.
[20:53] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue happily drains his meal. Sticking her head into the wall a bit shows the thick information cable heads up to a black mirrored ball near the ceiling and down into the basement.
[20:56] * Thunder_Strike follows the cable then says, berry, there's definitely something down there.'' she says pointing out the cable and where it leads.
[20:56] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam leaves the slightly more ajar door and head back to the other elevator. She manages to pry it open with little problem. The shaft descends into darkness.
[20:56] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder_Strike can see it goes down, but she can't see how far in the black looking down the inside of the I-Beam
[20:57] * Blackberry_Jam flicks her cigarette down the shaft, hoping the light ought to tell her how deep it is. She looks for a cable she might be able to climb down.
[20:58] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam can hear Thunder_Strike as she drops the cigarette. The red ember glows down into the shaft as it falls out of sight. Frayed cable hangs down the center of the shaft.
[20:58] * Thunder_Strike walks up beside her and looks down the shaft.
[20:59] * Snack_Cake checks it out too, but she stays a good distance further back than Blackberry_Jam and Thunder_Strike.
[20:59] * Blackberry_Jam cocks a brow. Weren't basements supposed to be one floor below the first? "Oh yeah, Thunder? What is it?" She asks, frowning a little as her ember disappears. "Snack, can we get a light down there?"
[21:00] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary feels a twitch is his flank. Something about being around this shaft is giving him a shudder.
[21:01] * Thunder_Strike ''I could fly you down there. if you want.'' she says, then adds. much safer than climbing down a cable.''
[21:01] * Scrap follows them to the shaft, but keeps out of the other's way.
[21:01] * North_Star walks over to see the deal with the shaft.
[21:02] * Blackberry_Jam shakes her head. "Not until we get a good look at what's at the bottom."
[21:02] * Snack_Cake still has her pipbuck light on. She takes a step closer, and holds her pipbuck over the edge to get more light inside...
[21:03] * Thunder_Strike moves outta snack cakes way.
[21:03] * Canary blinks at the shudder, then looks over to the group at the elevator; "Hey, be careful there!" He goes back to the terminal
[21:03] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary has his back to the shaft as he's still looking at the terminal. It is powered.
[21:05] * Blackberry_Jam looks dubiously at Canary. "Thanks for the heads up..." She mutters.
[21:05] * North_Star looks back at Canary. "Hold up.. He might be on to something." He says.
[21:05] * Canary kicks his saddlebag while he works on the terminal to see if his cards had anything to say about the shudder.
[21:07] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The terminal shows the logo for Prism Consolidated Industries. He quickly gets past the login and finds options for 'cameras' 'security' and 'calender'.
[21:08] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Shining the light down the shaft, the car is destroyed on the bottom of the shaft, a half dozen stories down.
[21:10] * North_Star glances down the shaft. "Oh.. I was expecting a small lake.."
[21:10] * Blackberry_Jam scrunches her nose. "What kind of building has six basement floors?"
[21:10] * North_Star steps back. "A... Stable?"
[21:10] * Thunder_Strike looks at Blackberry_Jam and says, ''federal?''
[21:12] * Canary checks the cameras first, figuring they would be offline and he could move on to another option. But if they weren't...
[21:12] * Blackberry_Jam frowns at North_Star. "I doubt that... You think Snack's Pipbuck would have picked something up like that. And I don't know... Haven't seen much of the old government in Buckago..."
[21:13] * Snack_Cake frowns. "Well... Stables aren't just... there. They're sealed off and hidden... and have those giant doors."
[21:14] * North_Star scratches his chin, thinking about it. "Well.. I've heard stories about the casinos in Pegasus having underground hideaways. Maybe this is something like that."
[21:15] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary finds that most off the cameras read as offline, but there are some that show as powered. 'Lobby' 'Maintenance' 'Tower'
[21:16] * Canary figures the lobby would just show him where he is, so he checks 'Maintenance'
[21:18] * Blackberry_Jam is almost certain this isn't a casino. "Thunder, let's take a closer look."
[21:19] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Switching to the Maintenance camera shows him a view of a room with cement walls. On the wall is an electrical box, most of the cables running into the top seem to be severed. There are a few boxes and tools on benches and a skeleton laying on the floor by a fireax.
[21:20] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The shaft looms as it has, dark and deep.
[21:20] <~Blackberry_Jam> "We don't need to go far, just to the first basement floor."
[21:21] * Canary wonders if there's any indication in the feed where the room is. The axe alone would be useful for a number of reasons.
[21:21] * Thunder_Strike nods. then lowers down so berry could climb on. alright.
[21:22] * Snack_Cake frowns. "Be careful, you two... alright?"
[21:23] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  It is a little scary doubling up and hovering down the shaft, but doable. The elevator doors on the way down are shut.
[21:23] * Blackberry_Jam switches on her laser sight and nods as she hops on Thunder_Strike's back. "Always." She tucks an unlit cigarette behind her ear and nods. "Can you hold me still enough to pry these open, Thunder?"
[21:25] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake feels a sudden warm weight land on her back.
[21:25] <Thunder_Strike> thunder flicks her rifles on and the breeder charges up thinking the light from it would be decent if it gave off any. she nods at Berry, ''I'll do my best but remember there's nothing solid under me."
[21:25] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary can figure it is a basement room from the walls, a bit of writing is on the wall... maybe if he could figure out a way to zoom or move the camera...
[21:26] * Blackberry_Jam is careful as she shifts her weight to try open those doors.
[21:26] * North_Star steps back from the shaft, walking over to the terminal to see what Canary has gotten into.
[21:26] * Canary attempts to do just that!
[21:27] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary figures out how to manipulate the camera. On the cement wall, to the right of what was originally shows, is clearly written |B1|.
[21:28] * Snack_Cake nearly jumps in surprise, but looks to see what's on her back!
[21:28] * Canary smirks and calls to anyone paying attention; "Got a maintenance room on the first basement level. Tools and an axe, and some boxes that might have stuff in them."
[21:28] * North_Star nods. "Not bad, Can. Didn't know you were tech-savvy."
[21:29] * Canary shrugs, "Neither did I."
[21:30] * North_Star blinks. "Anyway.. What was that about the elevator shaft?
[21:31] * Canary looks to North_Star, "I'm getting some bad vibes from it." He kicks his pack again to see if his cards can provide any insight
[21:32] * North_Star blinks again. "Bad vibes, eh?"
[21:33] * Thunder_Strike braces and tries to keep herself steady for Blackberry_Jam
[21:34] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake turns to see Blue sitting there, offering her a half-drained radroach.
[21:35] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary fails to dislodge any of the cards, it doesn't appear they want to fly out at the moment.
[21:35] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The doors to the first basement level creak open. It's pitch black
[21:36] * Canary frowns a bit, but goes back to the cameras. He checks the 'Tower' next.
[21:36] * Blackberry_Jam climbs off Thunder_Strike once she determines that everything's stable beneath her hooves. "Want to go grab Snack? Need a light down here... Laser's not cutting it."
[21:37] * Scrap watches them down the shaft. He'd be more comfortable being down there with them. Trusting them with their own safety sucks sometimes...
[21:37] * North_Star glances down at the pack. "Huh.."
[21:37] * Snack_Cake scrunches her nose and covers her snout with a hoof. "Urgh... I uh... no thank you, I um... Ponies don't eat those. Take it somewhere else, please?" She's /very/ uncomfortable with that radroach like that, so close.
[21:37] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The tower camera shows a view outside from /very/ high up.
[21:38] * Thunder_Strike nods at her. ''becareful.'' she says then goes back up. ''Snacky, you're next. climb on.'' she says landing then lowering down.
[21:39] * Canary considers the outside view, and then tries to see if he can get the camera to show the building the estimated the sniper was positioned in
[21:39] * Snack_Cake glances to Thunder_Strike and frowns. "I um... you want to carry me?" She hesitates. "That doesn't sound very safe."
[21:39] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue cocks his head to the side, offering it again.
[21:40] * Blackberry_Jam flicks out her lighter. It's not much, but in pitch darkness, any light is light.
[21:41] * Scrap looks between Thunder_Strike and Snack_Cake. "I could take you down."
[21:41] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary notices this camera view has another option, but it looks to be security protected. He also notices a glint on the far building which, on zooming, looks like it could be the shooter.
[21:42] * Canary smirks and points this glint out to North_Star. "Perhaps we can find a superior perch to use against our 'friend' here."
[21:42] * Thunder_Strike looks at her. would you rather climb down and slip?'' she says, then pauses and looks at scrap. ''thanks, I'm just worried ause Blackberry's down there by herself.
[21:42] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The lighter gives Blackberry_Jam a tiny bit of light, but it does show some boxes strewn about in storage.
[21:42] * Canary then tries to get to the other camera option
[21:42] * Blackberry_Jam picks through these boxes for anything of use, to pass the time.
[21:42] * North_Star looks at the screen, trying to get a look at the bastard who shot him.
[21:42] * Snack_Cake shakes her head at Blue! "No! Don't want it! It's all yours... take it somewhere else, okay?" She turns to Scrap. "I just... am nervous about not having all four hooves on the ground, is all..." She's more nervous than 'just' being nervous because of that, but it's all she says, for now.
[21:43] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue's ears fall as he's yelled at. He glides off to the corner with the rest of the radroach.
[21:43] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam finds a lot of office supplies, clipboards and binders and the like.
[21:44] * Scrap 's ears fall a bit as he watches Blue slink off. It gave him a quick flashback of his childhood.
[21:45] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary fights with a rather difficult encryption program but succeeds in getting the camera to do something. The screen changes, desplaying as a circle with a vertical and horizontal line.
[21:45] * Thunder_Strike walks over to Snacky and touches her cheek. I promise you'll be safe. me and scrap will take you down together if it helps ok?''
[21:45] * Canary blinks. "Are those... crosshairs?"
[21:46] * North_Star blinks. "Wait.. You just fought past a security.. Thing. Right?"
[21:46] * Snack_Cake wasn't yelling! She was just being a little forceful. "I... I really don't want to... but if you need my help that bad... You'll make sure I'm alright?"
[21:48] * Blackberry_Jam calls up there. "What's taking so long? I'm blind down here, remember?"
[21:49] * Thunder_Strike looks at her and nods. ''yes. berry really needs your pip light. and you'll be on my back. now lets go before berry gets into troube.''
[21:49] * Canary nods to North_Star, "I believe so. Do these look like crosshairs to you?"
[21:49] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  North_Star and Canary both think it looks like crosshairs. There's a readout at the top showing...
[21:49] * North_Star nods. "I know 'em when I see 'em. Question is, to what?" He asks.
[21:49] <Scrap> "Do you want my help?"

[21:50] * North_Star looks over at Canary. "I'm thinkin' you just found the controls to a high-powered rifle."
[21:51] * Canary points out the glint, smirking. "I was thinking we might be able to find a perch from which we could out-snipe the guy pinning us, but I like this idea better."
[21:51] * Snack_Cake hesitantly nods and climbs on top of Thunder_Strike's back. She holds very tight... probably tighter than she needs to.
[21:52] * North_Star nods, sharing Canary's smirk. "I like this idea a lot."
[21:52] * Canary uses the camera controls and tries to pinpoint the glint. Hopefully there was a bit of zoom as well
[21:52] * Thunder_Strike slowly stands the gasps. ''snacks.. not so tight." she says then nods at scrap. ''yeah. gonn need it. she's not exactly a featherweight.
[21:53] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary finds the camera is very hiqh quality. It has 15x zoom. He can make out the form of the sniper from this elevated position. She's set up behind a desk back in a room on the 13th floor.
[21:54] * Scrap blinks and looks at Snack_Cake, not sure how she'll take that comment. He looks over the side and swallows. It worked last time. He stands next to Thunder_Strike and helps Snack_Cake up.
[21:54] * Canary tries to line up the crosshairs on her head and looks for a command that looks like it would fire, although he doesn't press it until he's sure he can make a clean shot. "Y'know, this place just screams secret base. We should totally set up shop here."
[21:56] * Blackberry_Jam kicks over a few more boxes, shining her dim light on the walls. Was there an exit to the stairs from here?"
[21:56] * North_Star isn't really paying attention. He wants to make sure the mare they're about to reach out and touch is actually a raider.
[21:56] * Snack_Cake can't help it. She's kinda nervous and a bit afraid of getting a crash course in flying down a 6 story elevator shaft.
[21:56] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam can't see a door yet with how far she's gone in. There are boxes everywhere.
[21:57] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  those boxes seem to just have office supplies. Lots of old paper and clipboards
[21:57] * Thunder_Strike walks to the edge and opens her wings then waits for scrap to do the same, then lifts off into the shaft.
[21:58] * Scrap takes a deep breath and does the same. He just does what he used to, hoping it works again. It somehow feels right though.
[21:59] * Blackberry_Jam pushes one box away from the others and sets it on fire. No use waiting for those two!
[22:01] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary and North_Star observe the fall of shot as a high caliber round flies downrange from the 105mm recoilless rifle. The shot lands high, knocking a large hole in the building above the mare. She scampers into the building in a panic.
[22:02] * Canary looks to North_Star, "Damn. I swear I had it. Maybe the building is leaning. Still... she did scamper."
[22:02] * North_Star sighs. "Yeah. She'll be moving around. See if you can't find where that gunner is nested."
[22:03] * Canary nods, "Hell of a shot though." He begins looking for the other nest.
[22:04] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The building where the blast hit is burning. The readout shows...

[22:04] * North_Star nods. "At least they won't be using that building for a while."
[22:04] * Scrap lets out the breath and his spirit wings unfurl on each side of him. He flaps them twice before gliding down with Thunder_Strike. It felt weird. They're there and not there at the same time.
[22:05] * Thunder_Strike descends down the shaft with Snacky and scrap assisting.
[22:06] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam's little box fire is giving off a decent bit of light at this point.
[22:06] * Snack_Cake squeezes her eyes shut. She's determined not to look down.
[22:06] * Blackberry_Jam is content with her box fire, and resumes her search for the stairs!
[22:07] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  At the back of this storage level are several doors. It's still dark. Heading back around the shaft, she can find stair access. The door is shut.
[22:07] * Scrap lands down and watches his wings fade away. He asists Snack_Cake off of Thunder_Strike.
[22:08] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder_Strike, Scrap, and Snack_Cake make it down onto the first basement level in time to see Blackberry_Jam circle left to get to the stiars. They can also see a box or two on fire.
[22:08] * Blackberry_Jam tests this door, to see if the cosmic forces that be have barricaded this door as well.
[22:08] * Canary chuckles, "Damn. That really was one hell of a shot." He looks at the numbers. "Oh! Armour Piercing and Incendiary rounds. Now I know what I just fired. Although, if this is right, there's only nine shots in total left in this thing. Although maybe we could reload it if we knew where it was."
[22:09] * North_Star nods. "Or knew what it was chambered, for."
[22:09] * Thunder_Strike lets Snacky off then says, really? she lit a box? she says sligjtly annoyed but shrugs it off. well lets go catch her.
[22:10] * Scrap quickly moves to Blackberry_Jam to help with this door.
[22:11] * Snack_Cake is kinda shaking a bit as she gets onto the landing. "Okay... I'm here."
[22:11] * Canary nods, "We could probably figure that out if we could figure out what floor this is on."
[22:12] * Canary looks for some indication of the tower 'camera's location.
[22:14] * Blackberry_Jam motions to the pile of boxes in this room as she pushes on the door. "Let's get that light, Snack."
[22:15] * North_Star looks with Canary.
[22:15] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam pushes the door open easily.
[22:16] * Blackberry_Jam is relieved. She steps out of the way for Snack to illuminate the stairwell.
[22:16] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary and North_Star only see outside and the omnipresent cloudcover. There's nothing above the camera.
[22:17] * North_Star sighs. "It's safe to assume it's pretty high up.
[22:18] * Canary nods, "Maybe we can search for it later. This place would make a pretty good secret base. It's got a gun, and lots of basement hiding places."
[22:19] * Thunder_Strike looks at blackberry, then stays near scrap.
[22:19] * North_Star looks around. "Yeah.. I was thinking about finding a building to hole up in..
[22:20] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  THe light from the fire lets Blackberry_Jam see a little ways into the stairwell while Snack_Cake makes her way over. There's stairs going down if she turns right. There is a landing and the stairs up aren't visible because of the pillar running up the middle of the stairwell.
[22:21] * Canary grins at North_Star. "Not jsut to hide in forever of course, but a place to hang our hats and regroup. Every cool team needs an equally cool secret base."
[22:21] <North_Star> "We've got the place at Railyard, though."
[22:21] * Canary notes, "And there's probably more than enough room for everypony to have their own quarters. Plus, that gun makes this place a whole lot more defensible."
[22:22] * Blackberry_Jam is looking to go down, so that makes this choice fairly easy. She begins her descent.
[22:22] * Canary blinks, "Wait, you do? Does everyone have their own rooms? Does it have a big gun?"
[22:22] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam quickly runs out of light, Snack_Cake not yet having caught up.
[22:23] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blue slips out from his corner and sling around the foyer area.
[22:23] * North_Star shakes his head. "It's got cots, and me."
[22:24] * Canary raises an eyebrow. "You're not a gun."
[22:25] * Snack_Cake had to take a minute to get her bearings again... that 'flight' shook her up a bit. She heads over toward Blackberry_Jam, her pipbuck light brightening up the stairs as she gets closer.
[22:25] * Blackberry_Jam stays behind Snack_Cake's light as it brightens up her path down the stairs.
[22:25] * North_Star sighs. "It's a metaphor.."
[22:26] * Canary looks to North_Star, "I never met anyone named Four."
[22:27] * North_Star rests his hoof to his forehead.
[22:27] * Thunder_Strike looks at Scrap as they follow. so, how are you doing? now that your back and all.
[22:28] <Scrap> "I'm ok. I never thought I'd be nervous to fly though..."
[22:29] * Canary shrugs. "How far are we from Railyard anyways?"
[22:29] * Thunder_Strike yeah I know. it really must feel wierd.
[22:30] * North_Star looks to the south, or at least, where he thinks is south. "Must be.. Little under a day's walk from here."
[22:30] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake lights the path as they head down. On the next landing there are a pair of 55 gallon barrels. A red one marked "A" and a blue one marked "B".
[22:32] * Blackberry_Jam looks for more descriptive markings before heading to find the door to the second basement level.
[22:32] * Scrap nods. "Yeah, it does."
[22:33] * Canary smirks. He was having ideas! He backs out of the 'camera' and looks at the options again
[22:33] * Thunder_Strike she touches his side softly. ''at least your with us again... though its sad that it cost splotches.
[22:33] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The rest of the labling doesn't seem to have survived as well. "Ext........rd"
[22:35] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  It appears to Canary that there are just the two options, a free camera mode, and an aiming mode. Looking through the aiming menues he can find options to reload, but they are in red.
[22:35] * Scrap frowns. "Yeah. At least he's with his mother again. I hope they're happy together. It means alot that he gave me his body though."
[22:35] * Canary thinks the red reloading option means there was some kind of problem, or no more ammo to be fed in. He backs out again and looks at the other menu items
[22:36] * Thunder_Strike nods. ''yeah it does. hey, did you see him at all?
[22:36] <Thunder_Strike> you master I mean.'' she says looking at him.
[22:38] * Blackberry_Jam frowns slightly as she disregards the barrels for now. Was there a door to the second level around here?
[22:39] * Scrap blinks and his ears droop. "I... no, I didn't."
[22:39] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Down the second set of stairs is the door to B2.
[22:40] * Thunder_Strike looks at hugs him. ''I'm sorry. I bet he'd say how proud he is if you. if you did.m'
[22:40] * Blackberry_Jam pushes on through with Snack_Cake in tow.
[22:41] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The door to B2 doesn't want to open, it appears locked.
[22:42] * Snack_Cake sticks right next to Blackberry_Jam. "What do you think this place is...?"
[22:42] * Blackberry_Jam cusses under her breath. Maybe she could shoot it open. Shotguns were, after all, excellent breaching tools. "Some... corporate office or something... There was a ton of their documents upstairs, could probably tell you more."
[22:43] * Scrap blinks at the hug. "You- You think so?"
[22:44] * Thunder_Strike ''I know so.'' she says letting him go. ''your very kind scrap.''
[22:46] * Scrap smiles and keeps after Blackberry_Jam. "Thanks. You are too."
[22:48] * Thunder_Strike smiles at him. ''you're welcome. and thanks for punching me out the day.'' she says softly as they follow Blackberry_Jam.
[22:48] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary and North_Star can see the fire continue to spread up the building they blasted.
[22:48] * Canary blinks. "Sould we be worried about that at all?"
[22:48] * Canary asked North_Star that
[22:49] * North_Star shakes his head. "It's on the other side of the river. It'll be fine."
[22:49] * Scrap 's ears droop again. "Oh, well, I just didn't want you to hurt anyone."
[22:50] * Canary nods, "Okay."
[22:50] * Canary checks the 'security' thing next. Maybe he could unlock some doors.
[22:51] * Thunder_Strike smiles and lifts his chin up. and thanks to you. I didn't.'' she says with a smile. ''don't be so hard on yourself. I know you didn't want to do that much damage and it's ok. I'm just happy I didn't hurt anyone.
[22:51] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Blackberry_Jam can see the door is metal, but it doesn't look reinforced. It's just a normal metal door that probably wouldn't stand up to a shotgun blast.
[22:52] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Canary accesses the Security section. Contained within are several personel files, some testing information, and the security checklists for each shift and post.
[22:55] * Scrap blinks again. Lots of touching today. "Uh, me too. And, thanks for not being mad at me."
[22:57] * Blackberry_Jam presses the barrel of her shotgun to the lock on the door and squeezes the trigger after warning the others what she's about to do.
[22:57] * Thunder_Strike smiles softly. ''why would I be mad? if anything you had every right to be mad at me for forcing your hoof.'' she says ears laying back now.
[22:57] * Canary checks the testing information
[22:58] * Thunder_Strike hey I could pi....
[22:58] * Snack_Cake covers her ears and takes a few steps back
[22:58] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  It appears to be a multiple choice test for new hires onto the security staff.
[22:58] * Scrap rubs the back of his neck. "I suppose so, I did get yelled at because of it." He steps back.
[22:59] * North_Star reads the first line of the test before looking back at the elevator. "Well.. We got time.
[22:59] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The shotgun blast ring loud in the small stairwell, thunderously loud.
[22:59] * Thunder_Strike eeps and covers her ears.
[22:59] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The rumble continues to build, the ground quaking a bit.
[23:00] * North_Star blinks, looking around. "What the hell?"
[23:00] * Canary looks for anything in the test that would seem out of place or odd to ask about
[23:00] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  In the monitor, North_Star and Canary can see the building across the way crashing to the ground, the lower levels too weakened by the blast and fire to keep leaning as it was.
[23:01] * Canary blinks at that. "Huh... oops."
[23:01] * North_Star shrugs it off.
[23:01] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  A cloud of dust rolls over the area, and the place is plunged into a deeper darkness.
