  2. [12/11/23 20:12:37]<Waak|Overcolt> The sounds of battle subsided at the scene where our heroes had walked into what could be classified as a trap. The group did manage to subdue their opposition - five ponies, three of them lying dead and two out in the cold by Kichaka's hooves.
  3. [12/11/23 20:14:00]? RadscorpionPie shakes her head slightly. "Of alla the tricks underhanded... well, at least now this here buncha of raiders are disbanded."
  4. [12/11/23 20:14:51]<Gearhead> "It was rather inteligent for them." Gearhead says. "So inteligent that both Screw and I fell for the trap."
  5. [12/11/23 20:15:31]? Comet_Blaze spent a few more moments in the air, circling her companions and looking to the horizons for any sign of more opponents, before finally dropping towards the ground, remaining a short distance above the minefield-hiding terrain. "So what are we going to do about the mines? We can't just leave them here for somepony else to wander into hoping for something worth selling."
  6. [12/11/23 20:15:42]<Waak|Overcolt> Most of the group except Kichaka - who ran into melee - and Comet_Blaze - who's flying few meters above the road - are near the crashed skywagon on the West side of the road, opposite to the ponies.
  7. [12/11/23 20:15:57]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear reloads his shotgun and slings it "Anyone get hurt?"
  8. [12/11/23 20:16:25]? Screw-Loose eagerly looks at the mines and smiles. "We could make a mine launching device and carry it around on a carriage!"
  9. [12/11/23 20:17:30]<Gearhead> "Screw, as you know I usually agree with you, but this time I have to say the risk isn't worth the reward."
  10. [12/11/23 20:18:33]? Silky_Shackles runs a hoof over her face and takes a deep breath. "It doesn't matter, if what they do with it is just rob and kill." She pulls her hat lower. "I'm fine, thankfully." She glances at Screw-Loose. "We should sell those. Most of them are duds and we have other things we need more. I can take a look, in a moment" She trots to one of the raider corpses, grimaces and begins to undress and loot it.
  11. [12/11/23 20:20:22]? Comet_Blaze groans briefly and slaps her face with a forehoof at Gearhead's suggestions. "Never mind. Do whatever you want with the mines." She turns in the air and beats her wings, flying towards the two dead unicorns. A brief dip into the snow to check them for belongings. She might not like looting the dead, but leaving raider weapons behind just wasn't good form.
  12. [12/11/23 20:21:37]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear limps up to the others "Would you mind taking a look at this gunshot wound. I can't reach it myself" and holds out his left foreleg

  14. [12/11/23 20:22:28]? Screw-Loose eagerly looks at Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear's wound. "Can I install a cybernetic implant?"
  15. [12/11/23 20:22:53]<Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear> "No I think just a bandage or a healing potion will due"
  16. [12/11/23 20:23:18]? RadscorpionPie winces, and trots over to Brohoof, to examine the wound to the best of her capabilities.
  17. [12/11/23 20:23:52]<Gearhead> Gearhead stiffles a chuckle from Screw-Loose, suggestion, if anypony hear it, it would be the first time they would have hear her get anything close to a laugh
  18. [12/11/23 20:24:19]? Silky_Shackles telekinetically drags one of the corpses to the side of the unconscious raiders, then stops to catch her breath, before pulling two lengths of rope.
  19. [12/11/23 20:24:54]<Waak|Overcolt> Silky finds the pipe the pony was using as weapon, 11 caps - and one shot of Hydra. Seems the pony didn't had time to administer the chem.

  21. [12/11/23 20:26:57]<Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear> "I am worries about the little one. She did explode twice"
  22. [12/11/23 20:28:22]<Waak|Overcolt> Comet digs up a .32 Pistol from the snow, with two rounds still left in it. She also takes the health potion the first killed unicorn had on her.
  23. [12/11/23 20:28:29]? RadscorpionPie shrugs. "I appologize, Mr. Bear, there's just nothin' I can do there."
  24. [12/11/23 20:29:35]? Screw-Loose deflates dejectedly. "But I wanna get better at pony anatomy and stuff."
  25. [12/11/23 20:30:09]<Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear> "Yes but I am not a pony."
  26. [12/11/23 20:30:20]? Comet_Blaze gathers up the weapon and healing potion, stowing them in one of her saddle bags, before taking a hop, skip and jump over to the other unicorn and beginning to do the same there. There was no telling whether she'd be able to find the weapon they'd tried to kill her with. But the others were busy near the wagon. No reason to make them walk this far through the snow.
  27. [12/11/23 20:31:26]? Screw-Loose blushes. "Um, also want to get better at all creatures anatomy, that way I can make implants for all."
  28. [12/11/23 20:31:40]<Gearhead> "Why not practice on cadavers?" Gearhead suggests to Screw-Loose
  29. [12/11/23 20:32:19]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear sighs "You may examine my leg all you want as long as you patch me up while you do it?"
  30. [12/11/23 20:33:19]? Silky_Shackles gives the ropes a last pull, leaving the now naked raiders tightly immobilized. She clears the sweat around her horn and sits for a moment.
  31. [12/11/23 20:34:16]<Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear> [no ? on last]
  32. [12/11/23 20:34:38]<Waak|Overcolt> After looting the second unicorn, Comet finds what appears to be a pistol firing 5.56mm rounds and 12 cases for it - plus nine caps and RadAway.
  33. [12/11/23 20:36:26]? RadscorpionPie frowns, and carefully trots over to the fallen vehicle, being very careful of any other mines, to see if there was anything worthwhile in the wreckage.
  34. [12/11/23 20:37:01]? Comet_Blaze again carefully stows the materials. She wasn't any good with pistols, after all. But a weapon like that? Someone was sure to be able to put it to good use. A moment later she spread her wings to move back towards the group, heading towards RadscorpionPie. Landing a short distance away she watched the zebra with some curiosity and a little concern.
  35. [12/11/23 20:37:51]<Waak|Overcolt> Silky manages to tie the two unconscious raiders tightly - they're not running away after they wake up.
  36. [12/11/23 20:38:24]? Silky_Shackles takes a deep breath and goes after Comet. "Can I borrow this pony for a bit?"
  37. [12/11/23 20:40:36]? Comet_Blaze blinks and looks up to Silky with confusion. "Borrow what pony..?" She gave a frown which was more than a little nervous. All the talk about cybernetics, the crazy way ponies kept showing up. She wasn't entirely certain she wanted to discount the possibility. But there were almost no possible chances it would turn out well. "Hey, you know something about medicine, right?" She pulled
  38. [12/11/23 20:40:37]? Comet_Blaze back her hood to reveal the ear shredded by a bullet. "Anything you can do to help?"
  39. [12/11/23 20:41:25]? Screw-Loose nods at both suggestions. "I shall do that!" She then proceeds to examine Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear's leg.
  40. [12/11/23 20:45:33]? Silky_Shackles frowns. "I don't, sorry. I just want to give those two" - she glances at the tied-up raiders - "something to think about." She fires up her horn again and starts pulling the corpse to the other side of the tied up ponies.
  41. [12/11/23 20:48:42]<Waak|Overcolt> The two unconscious and tied-up raiders start to get to their senses as Silky trots close with the corpse of their comrade.
  42. [12/11/23 20:48:56]? Comet_Blaze watches Silky begin to move the corpse. "No mutilating the dead. Ghosts don't like it when you mutilate their corpses." She spread her wings and hopped over the unicorn towards Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear and Screw-Loose. As she approached the relative severity of the gunshot wound was obvious even to her.   44. [12/11/23 20:49:52]? Gearhead looks around and examines their surrondings.
  45. [12/11/23 20:50:04]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear nods and takes the items "Thank you Comet" downs the potion and straps the pistol to his leg
  46. [12/11/23 20:51:55]? Comet_Blaze passes on the ammunition for the pistol as well. "The hardest jobs need the best gear." She gave a brief salute to the buffalo before pulling her hood back up. The worst thing which she could do right now was let her wound get frostbite. Even she knew that.
  47. [12/11/23 20:52:02]? Screw-Loose looks at Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear's wound as the healing potion works on it. "Looks pretty!"
  48. [12/11/23 20:53:12]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear takes the ammo as well "Thank you again. Did you get injured in the fight?"
  49. [12/11/23 20:53:21]<Waak|Overcolt> The most evident feature of the spot is the crashed skywagon, on the Western side of the road running from North-West towards South. Off in the distance where the road leads a few buildings can be seen.

  52. [12/11/23 20:54:42]? Comet_Blaze shakes her head. "Nothing that serious." She pulls the hood back again to see the place where a bullet had torn through one of her ears. "Stings a lot, though." She gives an annoyed snort. "And probably going to leave me with scars."
  53. [12/11/23 20:54:44]<Waak|Overcolt> Peeking under the skywagon are two things - an old roadsign and what seems like a small container.
  54. [12/11/23 20:55:30]? Screw-Loose moves to Comet_Blaze's side and looks at her ear.
  55. [12/11/23 20:55:32]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear shakes his head "Let me have a look at it anyway. It is the least I can do"
  56. [12/11/23 20:55:34]? Silky_Shackles releases the corpse. She walks between the tied up raiders, firing up her horn and clearing her throat, before letting her voice boom at them. "Is that what you wanted?!" She rolls each raider to face one of the corpses, very close.
  57. [12/11/23 20:55:42]? Gearhead tilts her head and trots carefully and slowly to the skywagon, taking the small container out
  58. [12/11/23 20:58:06]<Waak|Overcolt> Both raiders' expression go from surprised to mildly scared after seeing their friend up close - one, however, gathers herself and spits at Silky.
  59. [12/11/23 20:59:00]<Waak|Overcolt> The container is old and weathered, possibly crashed with the skywagon. It's lock is rusted, but should be easy to pick - or pry - open.
  60. [12/11/23 20:59:32]? Comet_Blaze tilts her head to one side to give easier vision of her currently harmed ear. "No cybernetics." She pokes Screw-Loose in the chest with a forehoof. "At least not unless you can make them look awesome and fit inside proper Enclave armor." Sure she might never get to go home, but that didn't mean she wanted to give it all up!
  61. [12/11/23 21:00:52]? Screw-Loose nods. "Maybe we can make a skin graft and stitch it over the hole then use magic to make it blend seamlessly!"
  62. [12/11/23 21:02:00]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear nods "Hmm... that should work. I don't know about magic but a graft should work"
  63. [12/11/23 21:03:39]? Gearhead attempts to throw the container down to make it open, to no avail
  64. [12/11/23 21:03:53]<Gearhead> "Can anypony pick locks, or open this?"
  65. [12/11/23 21:04:04]? Comet_Blaze frowns and folds her ears back at that prospect. "I think I'd rather just have a bandage and some medication later." The idea of letting some horny pony poke around with her physiology was a little nerve-wracking, especially from one like Screw-Loose who seemed to have so little grasp over the mechanics of arcanotech, never mind biology!
  66. [12/11/23 21:06:19]? Silky_Shackles cleans her face with a hoof, lowering her face to the cheeky mare, telekinetically pulling a dynamite and lighter between them. "Is this all you got? It's nothing. You are nothing. You had your chance." She says calmly.
  67. [12/11/23 21:06:55]? Screw-Loose sighs at Comet_Blaze's statement. "Aww, but I could have so much fun doing it." at Gearhead's statemeant, she looks at the lock. "I could melt it off if you want."
  68. [12/11/23 21:06:59]? Grim ([email protected]) has left #FoEG16 ("")
  69. [12/11/23 21:07:20]<Gearhead> "I have no qualms about it."
  70. [12/11/23 21:07:24]<Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear> "Let me bandage that"
  71. [12/11/23 21:08:12]? Screw-Loose trots over and levitates her rifle to it. "Now then, angle like so and." She pulls the trigger and shoots.
  72. [12/11/23 21:09:03]? Comet_Blaze gives a quiet sigh and lowers her head a bit for Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear to bandage her ear. "Ugh. I try to be tolerant but sometimes ponies down here just don't seem to-" She cut off as she spotted Silky with the dynamite and lighter. "To... To..." Stammering a few moments as her brain worked through the possible results of that dynamite actually going off.

  75. [12/11/23 21:09:55]<Waak|Overcolt> The mare stares at the dynamite, now with a matching expression of shock as her partner. This pony meant business.
  76. [12/11/23 21:13:44]<Waak|Overcolt> Screw-Loose shoots at the compartment - and misses by few inches of the compartment from few meters away.

She gave an off-hoof nod to Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear, before rushing towards Silky. "Dynamite? Are you crazy!?" She glared at the unicorn. "We're in the middle of a minefield!   87. [12/11/23 21:18:53]? Silky_Shackles turns away from the raiders for a moment. "Dear, please don't interrupt me. I know what I'm doing." She rubs her temples. "Just tell the others to move if you are worried."

  90. [12/11/23 21:20:33]? Comet_Blaze eyetwitches a few moments and pulls her hood up. "You ponies are -crazy-." Taking to the air to avoid being too close to any resulting explosions. This whole world was insane, and getting more so every day it seemed.

"Now, what do we do to you?" She snorts. "Look at you, just savages. Leaving you to starve and freeze would only be fitting."

  102. [12/11/23 21:32:02]? Comet_Blaze takes a few moments to fly around the wreckage, looking for any signs of the road onwards to the bottling facility. Or anything else worth looting. Never too many supplies, as long as you could carry them all.

  105. [12/11/23 21:35:09]<Waak|Overcolt> The stallion raider is whimpering, while the mare is trying to look angry at Silky.

  107. [12/11/23 21:36:58]? Gearhead takes a look at said roadsign
  108. [12/11/23 21:38:13]<Waak|Overcolt> The road, heading south, seems to lead to a small town. Gearhead takes a look at the roadsign under the skywagon, which says in weathered letters: "Plowston 5km - South to Trampleton"
  109. [12/11/23 21:40:08]? RadscorpionPie searches about for any plants or herbs or anything that she may find useful.
  110. [12/11/23 21:40:50]? Silky_Shackles moves closer to the stallion and smiles to him. "Well, well. It's time to move. I'll decide later." She moves closer, eye-to eye with the stallion. "But next time I tell you something, you obey. No ifs or buts, is that clear?"
  111. [12/11/23 21:41:34]<Waak|Overcolt> The stallion nods quickly at Silky's suggestion, fearing the worst could happen if he didn't.
  112. [12/11/23 21:41:54]? Gearhead probably gets new markers on her ppipbuck. "Plowston 5km - South to Trampleton. Thats what it say
  113. [12/11/23 21:44:03]? Comet_Blaze slowly swoops down near Gearhead and peers off through the snow. "Guess we're heading that way then. The bottling plant shouldn't be too hard to find. THey're usually pretty big." She taps her chin. "At least all the ones I've seen have been."
  114. [12/11/23 21:44:59]? Gearhead nods. "Sounds like a good idea. We should leave as soon as Miss Shackles is done with her interigation."
  115. [12/11/23 21:47:40]? Screw-Loose looks at the carriage. "So van we tear this up for parts Gearhead?"
  116. [12/11/23 21:48:01]<Waak|Overcolt> MAP UPDATE: Trampleton Added
  117. [12/11/23 21:48:24]? Gearhead nods. "Also a good idea."
  118. [12/11/23 21:48:29]? RadscorpionPie futzes about in the weeds for a bit, and then curses her luck.
  119. [12/11/23 21:48:31]? Silky_Shackles unties his forelegs and turns to make her way around the minefield. "Now, follow. Me." She adjusts her hat, intentionally leaving the mare behind, holding a smirk.
  120. [12/11/23 21:49:35]? Comet_Blaze pulls her hood up and shakes her head. Looking down the road a few moments. She'd fly interception and watch for ambush while they were moving.
  121. [12/11/23 21:51:42]? RadscorpionPie gives up foraging, in order to watch the situation.
  122. [12/11/23 21:51:43]? Screw-Loose starts looking for bit to strip out of the carriage, looking out for mines this time.
  123. [12/11/23 21:52:55]? Gearhead starts to help Screw-Loose
  124. [12/11/23 21:53:34]<Waak|Overcolt> The raider mare starts to look around her, and the cruel reality starts to invade her mind. She screams "I don't wanna freeze ta death!"
  125. [12/11/23 21:55:08]<Waak|Overcolt> There are no mines under the carriage, so Screw-Loose has free reign over the skywagon.
  126. [12/11/23 21:56:48]? Silky_Shackles grins. She takes a couple more steps away, before looking back, making a disinterested face. "Why should I even take you?"
  127. [12/11/23 21:58:08]? Screw-Loose hums as she takes the carriage apart, piece by piece.
  128. [12/11/23 21:58:40]? Gearhead doesnt hum but takes it appart as if it were her second nature
  129. [12/11/23 22:00:30]<Waak|Overcolt> The mare is now close to freaking out. "I... I... I don't wanna die. I just..." She's at a loss of words now and moves his lips without muttering a word, looking at Silky with pleading eyes.
  130. [12/11/23 22:01:35]? RadscorpionPie bites her lip. Sometimes, a hard lesson is required. Doesn't make this feel any more tasteful.
  131. [12/11/23 22:03:23]? Comet_Blaze does her best to ignore what Silky was doing. She wasn't a cruel pony, but trying to save ponies like this just... Wasn't a good idea.
  132. [12/11/23 22:06:43]<Waak|Overcolt> The exterior of the skywagon was mostly beyond salvageable, but some of the components of the wagon were intact.
  133. [12/11/23 22:12:23]? Silky_Shackles turns back at the mare, staring at her with full severity. "Show any hint of that attitude again, and I won't be so forgiving. Be glad I let you live, because if your friends had you where you are, you'd be dead." She trots back to her, untying her forehooves as well. "I have my eye on you, so be a good filly. And you won't get away with anything on my back either. Now, follow." She turns away, and makes her way to the others around the minefield, with a satisfied smile. This was good, for a start, though she wouldn't be able to manage anything else without more resources.
  134. [12/11/23 22:13:13]? Screw-Loose wsmiles at all the stuff that she and Gearhead were gathering. "Next time we stop we are so going to make that robot!"
  135. [12/11/23 22:13:46]<Waak|Overcolt> The mare walks after Silky_Shackles, joining the stallion in the line of somber ponies.
  136. [12/11/23 22:15:36]? Comet_Blaze stares down at Silky_Shackles and her new 'acquisition's with a look of mixed anger and disgust. But now wasn't the time to bring this up. She'd do that when they were somewhere safer.
  137. [12/11/23 22:17:22]? RadscorpionPie has some very mixed emotins in her own impression, as she shifts from hoof to hoof.
  138. [12/11/23 22:20:26]? Bro-Hoofs-a-Bear shakes his head "Well that was interesting"
  139. [12/11/23 22:21:36]<RadscorpionPie> "It was in fact... something else."

  143. [12/11/23 22:22:58]? Gearhead nods. "Indeed, our project looks very probable now."
  144. [12/11/23 22:23:14]<Waak|Overcolt> Our heroes moved on along the road, and after travelling for the afformentioned five kilometers they arrived to Plowston - a town which had degraded into a pile of rubble, with only a number of buildings still left standing.
  145. [12/11/23 22:23:48]<Waak|Overcolt> A major road runs from North to South through the town, which intersects with a smaller road from North-West. On the east side of the major road there are four buildings, from which two are nothing but piles of rubble. In the fork of the two roads is one low building standing and two buildings long collapsed. On the west side of the fork stands three buildings, one of which has collapsed...

  147. [12/11/23 22:25:05]? Gearhead glances around at the buildings, trying to see what they once were.
  148. [12/11/23 22:25:11]<Waak|Overcolt> One of the buildings on the east side of the major road is clearly a church and banners of blue with golden horseshoe overlayed with a hammer of same colour hang from the rubble of the tower.
