  1. Nation Name: Cascadia
  2. Nation Race(s): Human
  3. Color: What's left
  4. Fluff: Originaly a massive resettlement action, Cascadia was started by UN as a last ditch effort to fight against overpopulation, poverty and societal division. Free land for free people. A noble cause that attracted a lot of people from all possible nationalities and ethnicities. Get your training, they said. Be a farmer on your own farm, they said. Live free and without any problems, they said. Nothing to be afraid, they said.
  5. They were right.
  6. Until all the communication with Earth ceased and no new shipment of people arrived. The Cascadian Cooperative was cut out from new supplies, having only what was already in place. And people. A lot of brave people that went through hell on Earth to start a better life, without wars, famine, poverty and diseases. With food, shelter, job, care and education for all.
  7. Time to prove this was not just an utopian dream.

  27. I would be really, really glad to start as land-locked and in fertile place, BUT one hex away from shore with this one. You know... Cascadia.

  35. They were wrong.
  36. Oh how wrong were those naive, peace-loving idiots from UN. As soon as the contact with Earth ceased, all hell went loose. And the Cooperative leaders were only talking. And talking. And negotiating. And arguing. Someone had to make a move, to take the helm and to put down a rebellion going on, to stop looting, to impose some sense of order. Colonel Kurtz was that someone. All the problems ended as soon as real power was shown to those savages they've enlisted as "farmers". Better life for them? What a joke! We were send here as a temporary security detatchment. Paid for half a year, minus the gear expenses. We have families back home. And we are getting there back.
  37. Whatever it takes.

  61. Nation Race(s): Human-plant hybrids

  63. Fluff: Believe make things happen. Hard work, training, desires, dreams, more hard work... but in the end it's the primal believe that makes things happen and standing strong behind everything else. You need to believe. And then everything will be possible.
  64. That's at least what acolyte Luthais says. I often wonder how life on Earth was. Father never talks about it and Sìle, my stepmom, was a little girl when they left. The pictures in data center are all strange, with all objects made of cold metal and dull, gray stone, with barely anything green. And what the base refers as humans looks anything like any of us. I want to know, but nobody wants to explain. They always repeat it doesn't matter, because the druids lead us away from the Barren Land and brough us here, to this pristine land. I don't know anything about it, it's... well, normal, I guess.

  66. When hybridisation VG-018A/2 happend, it was treated as just another cross-kingdom mutation, plant-based. Then it kept on spreading. Fast. Really, really fast. We were even considering preemptive purge, already set up a tight perimeter... And then neopagans or some sort of new age bullshit rolled in. Druidic circle, you believe that? But it gets only better from that. Help us and we will help you. And they were reasonable with that, nothing grand! Just asked to hand them out some ships and they will lead their flock out for the green pastures. If walking trees need pastures. Probably the most containable situation we ever had. Sometimes I wonder what those bastards are doing out there, somewhere in space.
