FoE PNP Destiny Group Session 23

[18:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> *** PnP Destiny Group: Session 23 Start ***
[18:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Heading slowly for a star, and absolute destruction, things are looking bad for Advance Team One, and indeed all of Destiny. With panic setting in for the pegasi, Countess Astera has found herself back on Equestria, a pair of Royal Guard staring at her Blank from the doorway.
[18:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> One guard transfers his spear to a hoof, "State your name and vessel, please."
[18:27] * Astera looks down at herself, confused for only a moment before jerking her head up and looking at the guard, her ears droopin. "Ah.. I.." Huh, that wasnt her voice.."I am Countess Astera from the Destiny, and we.. Have a situation, the ship has been taken hostage. I need to talk with the princessess."
[18:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The guard nods, "Countess, please come with me then. We'll send word ahead." He turns, shouldering his spear and flicking a hoof to somepony likely out of your view. Taking a few steps out the door, he waits to make sure you're following before taking off at a brisk trot.
[18:33] * Astera follows the stallion quickly moving up to his side. "How are things on this side? When we left a couple of explotions had gone off."
[18:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The guard leads Astera into the throne room, then down a hallway behind it, "We have confirmed reports of three hundred injured, a quarter of them in serious or critical condition, and twenty dead."
[18:40] * Astera keeps the guards pace, looking about in the room. "That's terrible! Have there been any countermessures to take care of these rebels?"
[18:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> He shakes his head, the two of you passing scores of heavily armed ponies as you proceed down the hall, "It could have been worse, Countess, much worse. We've aprehended several members of the group, but as yet we've been unable to locate their main base. We've also recieved word about Destiny."
[18:48] * High_Hopes is only a little bit lost, as she eventually finds Clara and Astera's... seemingly lifeless corpse! With a squeak and a "Sweet Celestia!", she rushes to the Countess' side, medical tools marching out of her bag and floating around her head as she prepares to help!
[18:49] * Chameleon has just been guarding the door to mak sure nopony disturbs Astera
[18:49] * Swept_Wing is following Swoop back up to Level 3 and her room.
[18:49] * Swoop rushes as fast as she can to her room. "Need that gun, need that gun, need that gun!"
[18:49] * Astera nods. "I see, the situation on Destiny is not much better. The leader of their organisation, or atleast I think she is, has taken the ship and is planning to run it through a star should we not meet her terms."
[18:51] * High_Hopes disturbs Astera, probably.
[18:51] * Clara is keeping a concerned watch over Astera's unconscious body back on the ship. When High_Hopes finds them, she turns toward the doctorpony. "She used the console to try to talk to the princess..."
[18:53] <Chameleon> "Hopes, Astera's talking to the princesses"
[18:53] <Chameleon> "Calm down."
[18:54] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Indeed, from what Hopes can tell, there's every reason to be calm. Astera's vital signs are stable when checked, and she has every appearance of a pony that is simply in deep sleep.
[18:56] * High_Hopes gasps a little, but nods as she assess Astera. "S-So, why is she unconscious...?"
[18:56] <Chameleon> "Because it's in the body of another pony or something. I dunno. I'm not sciencepony!"
[18:57] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Back on the third level, Swept and Swoop head toward Swoop's room, finding another three blast doors between them and their destination. With the power of sibling love, they manage to overcome them, and eventually reach Swoop's room, finding the door open. Inside, the room looks to have been trashed... more than usual.
[18:57] * High_Hopes blinks at Chameleon's explanation. "She... what? I don't..." She -is- a sciencepony and she has no idea what that means.
[18:58] * Swoop looks around. "Sonova bitch..." She immediately starts looking for... the Mini goddess plushie. Oh and her Pistol too.
[18:58] * Swept_Wing stands in the doorway, panting a little.
[18:59] * Chameleon pipshrugs "When we talked to a pony who was using this technology it was a pony that apparently had Princess Luna in her for the duration. I'm just guessing."
[18:59] <Swoop> "Getting out of shape, bro?"
[19:00] * High_Hopes slumps down a little. "So... what can we do? There's got to be something we can do to help!"
[19:00] * Swept_Wing snorts. "That's like the fourth time going up those stairs today."
[19:01] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The guard nods at Astera, finally skidding to a stop at a doorway and snapping a salute. Inside, Astera can see Celestia and Luna standing over a topographic display of Equestria. The elder princess turns to the door and waves her in, "Yes, dear Astera, we know of their demands."
[19:01] * Swept_Wing moves into Swoop's room to help look for her pistol.
[19:01] <Chameleon> "Make sure nopony disturbs her, thats what we can do."
[19:01] <Swoop> "What, you don't use your wings to bounce yourself up?"
[19:02] * High_Hopes feels helpless, and doesn't like that!
[19:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swoop finds the mini Goddess plushie hiding under the bed, still smiling just as wide as ever.
[19:03] <Swept_Wing> "I did that time, but the other times there were doors, or I was carrying another pony. Anyway, before we go any further, we need at least some sort of plan."
[19:03] * Astera bows quickly for the princessess before trotting up. "So you have heard then, Kaifa is planning to kill everypony on the Destiny if she does not get her way. What should we do?"
[19:03] <Swoop> "There you are... Glad you made it ok..." She stuffs the plush into her bag, then goes about looking for her pistol, which is of course not where she normally keeps it.
[19:04] <Swoop> "I'm all ears."
[19:05] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The pistol is indeed lying in a corner of the room, its energy cartridges scattered all over.
[19:05] <Swept_Wing> "Well, the elevator up to the bridge is on the level above. Whether it works or not is another question entirely, but I'm going to assume it doesn't."
[19:06] * High_Hopes looks to Clara. "M-Ms. Clara? D-Do you... have... any ideas, at all? I mean... what if the princesses can't help? What if they find us here?"
[19:06] <Swoop> "Bingo..." She collects up the charges, checking that they aren't damaged before loading one in and activating it. "Even if it works, I don't much like riding in a potential death trap. They'd have thought of that."
[19:08] <Swept_Wing> "Exactly. We'll have to take the stairs, and if my hunch that Kaifa's on the bridge is correct, I'm guessing there will be guards."
[19:09] <Chameleon> "If they find us here that's what I'm here for."
[19:09] <Swoop> "Probably lots of guards. And us with only three weapons between us. So. Options?"
[19:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The princesses each nod in acknowedgement, Luna silently observing the map as Celestia replies, "We have heard. The Children have also informed us that there are more locations that have been planted with bombs..."
[19:10] * Swoop puts her pistol down then proceeds to remove the crappy armor in favor of her usual garb, then holster's her pistol.
[19:10] * Clara frowns a little and looks to High_Hopes. "We cannot worry. There will be a solution. Everything will be alright."
[19:11] * High_Hopes shakes her head. That wasn't an answer! That Ice Ring pony was really scary... and... "How... how d-do you know that?" She asks, her voice quivering and uncertain.
[19:11] <Chameleon> "How do you not?"
[19:11] <Chameleon> "Are you that much of a doubter? Like Kaifa?"
[19:12] * Swept_Wing checks his revolver. "Well, I'm thinking that we pose as being on their side, and if that doesn't work... how much ammo you got?"
[19:13] * High_Hopes isn't sure how to answer a question like "How can you not know something?".
[19:14] * Swoop counts her packs. "looks like... 45 shots."
[19:15] * Clara looks right into High_Hopes's eyes. "Because worry will not help. If you have confidence, then you are much more prepared to help yourself."
[19:15] * Astera trotts up to the map. "Bombs, princess?"
[19:16] * Swept_Wing nods. "I've got about 60. If it comes to it, make all of the shots count. You ready?"
[19:16] * High_Hopes gives Chameleon a very confused look, and tears her eyes away from Clara. That's all she ever did... worry... "I... don't have... much confidence..."
[19:17] * Swoop nods. "Let's get about it then."
[19:18] <Chameleon> "You don't need confidence to hope."
[19:18] * Swept_Wing nods, heading out of her room. "Let's move." He heads for Level 4.
[19:19] * High_Hopes blinks.
[19:19] * Swoop follows, feeling more secure in her own armor and with her own weapon.
[19:22] * Swept_Wing adjusts the collar on his uniform. He'd rather be wearing his Pilot Barding, but that was in his room still, and they didn't have time to stop and get it. His EAF Uniform only had a kevlar vest under it.
[19:22] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The map is studded with red markers over the 20 ship-building facilities, there's also three other locations with green marks, one of which is Sweet Apple Acres. Luna nods, "Acting on the information, Our forces have found three of their bombs and defused them... but there may be countless more."
[19:23] * Clara gives High_Hopes a comforting hug. "Confidence takes practice." She pats a hoof next to her. "Sit here with me... I have a question for you. Tell me... how good are you at playing that card game?"
[19:24] * High_Hopes gingerly takes a seat, after going a little rigid at the hug. "Well... I used to win a lot at school... but... I don't think I'm that good..."
[19:28] * Astera nods slightly. "I see.. " She looks over both Luna and Celestia for a moment before sighing and asking. "What do you wish me to do about Destiny? I came here seeking your counciling, or perhaps even join me back there for a chance to speak with theire leader."
[19:29] * Clara gives High_Hopes a little smile. "You know a lot more about it than I do, and a lot of ponies. You would be able to win in no time at all if we played. Do you know what else you know a lot about?"
[19:30] * High_Hopes looks at the medical tools, only now slipping them back in to her pack. "Well... I know a lot about medicine..."
[19:33] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Celestia looks down at the map with her sister, "Unfortunately, going aboard Destiny is out of the question... Were either of us to go there, we would be incredibly vulnerable, even using the Soul Communication."
[19:35] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Going through the stairwell to the fourth level, Swept and Swoop are able to bypass the first blast door at the top of the stairs, but as they try to make it past the second, something in the door's crystal matrix shorts, showering them both with magical sparks.
[19:36] * Swept_Wing winces. "Fuck, alright, uhh..." He checks his map for alternate routes.
[19:36] * Swoop covers her head for the sparks. "Damnit! Dumb door. This is worse than the bathroom..."
[19:37] * Swept_Wing raises an eyebrow. "Yeah, except there's no doorknobs to replace here."
[19:37] <Astera> "Oh.. Of course! I supose I should return to Destiny then.. Thank you for your time, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia.." She nods slightly at them both, looking up for a moment to see if they have anything more to say before returning bacck to the communications room.
[19:37] <Swoop> "Or plumbing..."
[19:38] * Clara nods at High_Hopes. "Medicine is one of the most important things you could know about! It makes you one of the most important and helpful ponies on the whole ship. Much more important than I am, in fact!"
[19:42] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Celestia looks back to Astera, nodding slightly, "If only you could convince her to speak with us here... Stay safe, Astera."
[19:43] * High_Hopes looks at her hooves, whimpering a little. "But... how can I help now? I can't fire a weapon... I can't kill ponies..."
[19:47] <Swoop> "So, where's the nearest access shaft? Don't they always use those in Star Trot?"
[19:47] * Clara gives Hopes a smile. "By doing what you know the best. You know best how to make sure the rest of us stay safe and healthy! You do not need to be somepony that you are not... only be who you are. There is only one pony in the world who knows the best how to be 'you'."
[19:48] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "Looking for one now." He starts looking for ways around the door, including access shafts and the like.
[19:49] * High_Hopes has a faint smile on her lips, but it soon fades. "Then... we should find the others..."
[19:49] <~High_Hopes> "Right?"
[19:49] * Astera gallops back to the communications room to transfer herself back to teh Destiny, well it was worth a shot talking to hte princessess atleast..
[19:55] * Clara gives a little nod. "Who will watch over the Countess though?"
[19:57] * High_Hopes gives a nod to the security pony right next to them. "I think Ms. Chameleon could do it..."
[19:58] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Looking around, both pegasi soon realize they have no idea what the access shafts on Destiny would even look like. But meandering down the halls eventually leads them to a second set of blast doors heading the direction they had wanted to go.
[19:58] <Swept_Wing> "I fucking hate doors."
[19:59] <Swoop> "Same here... Alternate route time."
[19:59] * Swept_Wing gets to work on said door.
[20:01] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The guard is still waiting for Astera outside the Princess' room, and gallops with her back to where they'd come from, "If I may ask, do you have a plan, Countess?"
[20:07] * Clara nods. "Alright. Shall we go look for them, then?" She stands, still looking to Hopes.
[20:08] * High_Hopes gives a decisive nod, shaking herself a little as she rises. "Yes. Let's."
[20:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Try as they might however, this alternative route yields no results either, the door remaining steadfast in its refusal to open.
[20:12] <Swoop> "Well fuck me with Luna's crown. Now what?"
[20:12] <Swept_Wing> "Well, that's the only other way up from what I can tell. We're fucked."
[20:13] <Swoop> "Yep... so which way to the shuttles?"
[20:13] * Clara lets Hopes take the lead, but sticks right beside her. "Do you know where some of the others have gone?"
[20:14] <Swept_Wing> "You stole my idea."
[20:14] <Swoop> "How do you know I didn't have it before you did?"
[20:15] <Swept_Wing> "Because, that's why."
[20:15] <Swoop> "That is such a shitty copout. You need to get new material."
[20:16] * High_Hopes gives a slight nod as she trots out of the room, leaving Cammy on guard. "I think they said something about going to their rooms to get weapons. Maybe we should head that way... wherever that is..."
[20:18] * Clara thinks for a moment. "I am not sure where some of their rooms are, but I know Swoop has hers next to mine. Maybe we can go there first?" She starts to lead the way.
[20:18] * Astera looks at the guard for a moment, then, ears drooping she answers. "No.. No real plan other then to stop Kaifa."
[20:18] <Swept_Wing> "Well, if we're going to the shuttle, guess we can stop at my room for my Pilot's barding. This way." He heads down the hall towards his room, and Shuttle 2.
[20:18] * Swoop follows.
[20:19] * High_Hopes follows, silently hoping that neither of their feathered friends are hurt...
[20:21] * Clara will probably run into many closed and locked doors on the way.
[20:22] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The guard nods slight in response, keeping quiet. When the two of you reach the Blank room, he gestures to one of the guards by the door terminal and then snaps a crisp salute at Astera, "Good luck, Countess. From all of us."
[20:23] <Astera> "Thank you.. We'll need it."
[20:24] * Swept_Wing heads for his room.
[20:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> A tingling rushes through Astera's borrowed body, and she finds herself opening her eyes back in the Communications Room on Destiny.
[20:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> This door opens much more kindly, showing Swept and Swoop the hallway leading to the brother's room. His door however is sealed shut.
[20:25] * High_Hopes looks for rooms with ponies in them, to tend to any wounded.
[20:25] * Astera blinks and looks around, where were the others?
[20:26] * Swept_Wing pops the panel off and gets to work on his own door. "Breaking into my own room, heh."
[20:36] <Swept_Wing> "Heh, looks like the didn't care to put much of a lock on it either... sweet."
[20:37] * Swoop smirks. "Now why couldn't they do that for all the other doors."
[20:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The door indeed opens easy enough. Swept's room beyond doesn't look much worse than normal.
[20:38] * Swoop looks around inside. "Man, and I thought they did a number on my room..."
[20:40] * Clara eventually follows the path of open doors to her own and Swoop's room. She wants to try to get in to hers before they leave. She turns to Hopes. "Do you know how to get the door open...?"
[20:40] * Chameleon is still with Astera
[20:40] * Chameleon waves
[20:40] * Swept_Wing chuckles, trotting in. "Oh come on." He noses through his dresser, pulling out his pilot's barding.
[20:41] * Astera grumbles and stands up slowly. Looking about she finds Chameleon, yay! "Hey Cammy.." She frowns slightly looking away. "The princessess couldn't really help, all they said was that if possible we should make Kaifa talk to them."
[20:42] * Swoop leans against the doorframe. "So who flies and who guns?"
[20:42] * High_Hopes looks at the door uneasily. "Well... I think I saw Tiramisu hack one of these before... I could try..."
[20:42] <Chameleon> "Can you do the spirit thingy away from the machine?"
[20:43] <Astera> "...I dont know." She makes a :I face.
[20:44] * Clara steps aside and lets her at it. "If we can get in, then I can take my things with me..."
[20:44] <Swept_Wing> "Dunno, you wanna flip for it?"
[20:44] <Chameleon> "I'd rather not risk it, and there's no way to get her to come down here..."
[20:44] <Chameleon> "Unless maybe you tell her the princesses wish to negotiate with her personally?
[20:45] <Swoop> "I'll flip you for it. I'm flying."
[20:45] <Astera> "Perhaps Kaifa has her own communication devices on her part of the ship she can use. The princesses can probebly come with an agreement if they only got the chance to talk with her."
[20:45] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "Oh really?"
[20:46] <Swoop> "Yes really."
[20:48] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "Alright, I'm in the mood to shoot shit today anyway. Let's go."
[20:48] * Swoop grins n heads for the shuttle airlock.
[20:50] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With a little bit of experimentation, Hopes is able to get the door to Clara's room open. Only it doesn't open all the way, sliding back closed almost like a rubber band was pulling on it.
[20:50] * Swept_Wing follows after her.
[20:51] * High_Hopes frowns a little, but is still happy that she could get it open. She'd have to practice this... if she ever wanted to hack that mean armory robopony...
[20:53] * Clara frowns. "Is... it open?" She takes a step closer.
[20:54] * High_Hopes is super tiny, so she slips through without much trouble. "Just be careful, you might get pinched."
[20:54] * Astera shakes herself, noticing only now that they are alone.. "Ah, where did the others go?"
[20:55] * Chameleon shrugs "Something about the others."
[20:58] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Hopes tries to slip through the door, her head catches a band of slimy, stretchy goo right across the forehead.
[20:58] * High_Hopes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeps super-loud, flails, and flops on to the floor. "WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
[20:59] * Astera blinks. "Ooookaythen." Looking at the exit. "Shall we then?"
[20:59] <Chameleon> "Sure."
[21:00] * Astera trots out the door in search for the others
[21:02] * Clara jumps back in surprise. "What is it!?" She leans in to try and look through the door.
[21:04] * Chameleon follows Astera
[21:05] * High_Hopes rolls around on the floor, clawing at the goop on her face. "Getitoff! Getitoffgetitoffgetitoffgetitoffgetitoff!" She cries.
[21:07] * Clara turns back to help High_Hopes get the goop off her face. "I am so sorry... I do not know what is going on!"
[21:08] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Clara's room is dark inside, there's a very quiet noise from inside, but neither pony can tell what it is.
[21:10] * High_Hopes flails some more, squeaking and writhing as tears roll down her cheeks. "I don't want a chestburster! I wanna go home! Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!"
[21:11] * Astera has no idea where the others went, so she just backtracks untill she finds something.
[21:15] * Clara tries to console Hopes. "Please! Stop yelling! You are okay. See? It is only some... muck." She continues cleaning the goop off Hopes.
[21:16] * Astera stops and facehooves. "I always forget these.. " She mutters, opening up the tags to check where the other ponies were.
[21:17] * High_Hopes keeps flailing and crying. "I c-c-can't! The aliens are going to kill us!" She shrieks, rolling around and making it very difficult to get any of the stuff off of her.
[21:18] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The tags for the rest of Astera's team show up clearly, a pair each by Clara's and Swept's rooms.
[21:18] * Clara frowns. "There are no aliens!" She glances back at the door. "I will look inside! You are safe here."
[21:23] * Astera decides to check on Clara and Hopes first. The other two could handle themselves..
[21:23] * Clara tries to stick her head through the door herself, and calls out, "Hello...?"
[21:24] * High_Hopes eventually stops crying, but is still breathing hard.
[21:26] * Swoop tries the door for the shuttle, checking first that the shuttle's still there.
[21:29] <~High_Hopes> "Wh-why is there a-alien goop in your r-room?"
[21:32] * Clara frowns. "I... am not sure." She hesitates a moment. There /is/ one thing... "Maybe... I might know what it is. I need to be able to see to be sure! Could you... shine a light inside for me?"
[21:33] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There's an extra-thick bulkhead baring the way to the shuttle, when Swoop looks at the door coding, it's even more scrambled than the others she's seen prior.
[21:34] <Swoop> "Never easy is it... You want first crack at this?"
[21:34] * High_Hopes uses her light spell! Lighting the entire room very well, she doesn't dare actually go inside.
[21:35] * Swept_Wing nods slowly. "Sure." He takes a look at it.
[21:35] * Clara looks inside the room with the new light.
[21:37] <Swept_Wing> "Fuck... you try it sis."
[21:37] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Under Hopes' magical light, Clara can see splotches of green goo across her floor, and a few strands between the floor and ceiling at odd angles, much like the one crossing the door.
[21:38] * High_Hopes eeps and jumps back! Just like the movie!
[21:38] * Clara calls out again, "Hello? Is there... anyone in there?"
[21:41] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The door refuses to open to Swept's attempt, and when Swoop tries, the central part of the blast door mechanism errupts in a shower of sparks, the lights going out in the console.
[21:41] * Astera is still trecking the halls towards Clara and hopes, they sure are quicker then they look
[21:42] <Swoop> "DAMNIT!!"
[21:42] <Swept_Wing> "Nice."
[21:42] <Swoop> "Stupid piece of shit ship that won't let us open damn doors!!"
[21:42] * Swoop whirls n bucks the door as hard as she can out of frustration.
[21:42] <Swept_Wing> "Looks like that door isn't opening for a bit either."
[21:45] <Swept_Wing> "Well, we could go try the other shuttle, but with our luck, we won't do jack shit to the door."
[21:45] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Something stirs in the back of Clara's mind, she thinks she can almost hear changeling speech, but it's gibberish.
[21:45] * Swoop slumps to the floor. "Seriously. Why does NOTHING go our way?"
[21:47] * Swept_Wing paces. "I don't know... Hmmmm... There's gotta be another way up there..."
[21:48] <Swoop> "If only we knew what access tube hatches looked like... Stupid Science Fiction. CONFORM TO REALITY!"
[21:48] * High_Hopes is very apprehensive about all this. "M-Ms. Clara?" She asks, still standing in the hallway and waiting...
[21:49] <Swept_Wing> "Well, we could start banging on the walls and listening for where it sounds different."
[21:49] * Astera shows the fuck up at Claras room, its like a explotion of colors and celebrations, except not. "Oh, there you are..." She says as soon as she sees Hopes.
[21:49] * Clara smiles a little, and calls back, in her changeling chitter-language, <"Hello? I cannot understand you... come out, please!">
[21:51] <Chameleon> <What?>
[21:51] * Chameleon pokes her head into Clara's room <You should really clean up.>
[21:52] * High_Hopes is standing right in the door, illuminating the room. She jumps out of her skin as Astera and Cammy arrive. "O-Oh... it's... you guys... hi..."
[21:52] <Swoop> "...And that would work how?"
[21:53] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There's a very soft squishing noise, and a small, shiney black nose pokes out of a bundle of blankets on Clara's bed.
[21:53] * High_Hopes faints.
[21:54] <Swept_Wing> "Well, it'd tell us where the entrance to the tunnel was." He bangs on the wall with his hoof to prove his point.
[21:54] * Astera looks down at High_Hopes who just fainted. "Oh my.." She floats up the filly up onto her back, then trotting into the room.
[21:55] * High_Hopes 's light fades as she faints.
[21:55] * Swoop waits.
[21:55] <Chameleon> "...Clara did you have a kid? Oops there goes the light."
[21:55] * Chameleon turns her pipbuck light on
[21:57] * Clara squeezes her way into the room! She has the biggest smile! She doesn't care about the goop, nor does she notice Hopes or Astera at all. <"Oh! Hello little one!"> She needs more light! Then... suddenly somepony's pipbuck light. Good!
[21:57] * Swept_Wing starts banging on the walls like a mo'fo', listening for a change in the pitch.
[21:59] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera isn't quiet paying attention as she trots into the room. The strand of goo is quite surprising as it catches her across the chest.
[21:59] * Chameleon can probably just walk under said strand. and does
[22:00] * Astera gasps in surprise and takes a few steps back, brushing whatever goo she that got stuck away with a hoof. "What is all this..? Is this what changelings usualy decorate with?"
[22:01] * Chameleon looks up "Looks sort of like the stuff I made my cocoon with."
[22:01] * High_Hopes murrs something about "Xenomorphs" in her sleep.
[22:03] * Clara heads straight over to the bed and noses her way under the blankets.
[22:05] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With their flailing about, Swept and Swoop finally find a section of wall that sounds different. Closer examination reveals that it's a cowl covering for an air duct. There's no easy sign of a way to open it though.
[22:05] * Swept_Wing hmmms. "Any ides?"
[22:05] <Swoop> "Well well. I say we take the direct aproach and buck a hole in this one."
[22:05] * Swept_Wing chuckles, nodding. "Indeed."
[22:06] <Swoop> "You found it, you buck it."
[22:07] * Swept_Wing nods, and bucks the ever-loving fuck out of the grate.
[22:07] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Under the blankets, Clara finds a glossy black grub, with big, shiney eyes. It looks at her, and she can hear a little more of the gibberish, slowly resolving into something that sounds like parts of words.
[22:08] * Chameleon flicks an ear
[22:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The poor cowling never stood a chance, caving in with extreme ease as Swept bucks it. Where the sheet metal once stood, is now revealed a barely pony-sized crawlspace.
[22:11] <Swept_Wing> "Got it~"
[22:12] * Swoop looks at the size of the vent. "Gonna be tight."
[22:13] * Swept_Wing clicks his lamp on, drawing his revolver and crawling into the hole. "Yep, 'sall we got though."
[22:14] * Swoop pulls her pistol and follows.
[22:14] * Clara is smiling wide. She doesn't care that she can't really understand it right now. <"Are you alright? I am sorry that I could not have been here before."> She gently lifts the blankets up to reveal the bug.
[22:15] * High_Hopes mumbles more quotes about "Bug Hunts" and "Game overs".
[22:15] * Chameleon tilts her head, looking at it
[22:15] * Astera moves up to Chameleon and does teh exact same thing.
[22:17] <Swept_Wing> "Alright..." He looks at his map, looking for the way towards the stairs to the bridge. "Assuming these follow the hallways, we should go this way..."
[22:17] <Swoop> "Wait... are we going to the shuttle or the bridge?"
[22:18] <Swept_Wing> "Bridge."
[22:19] <Swoop> "Darn. Was kinda looking forward to watching the bridge decompress."
[22:19] <Swept_Wing> "Might be friendlies up there too Swoop."
[22:20] <Swoop> "Good point."
[22:21] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The little grub is looking around, in a clear view, it's very glossy looking. Clara can make out a very slurred, "Protect home."
[22:22] * Chameleon would like to point out Clara isn't the only changeling in the room but kay.
[22:22] <Swoop> "Still... fun times missed..."
[22:23] * Swept_Wing crawls along the air duct towards the Bridge. "Indeed."
[22:24] * High_Hopes groans. "Get away... from her... you... b-b..."
[22:25] * Swoop keeps crawling, knowing her wings are gonna need a REAL good stretch when this is all done.
[22:26] * Clara smiles and noses the grub. <"You did a very good job, little one. I am here now!">
[22:27] * Chameleon wanders outside to guard the hallway.
[22:31] * Swept_Wing keeps crawling, checking his map every now and then.
[22:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The grub makes something of a cheerful sounding squeak. Traveling through the vents is rough going, and very disorienting.
[22:32] <Swept_Wing> "This way, wait, no, yeah. This way."
[22:32] <Swoop> "Are we sure?"
[22:33] * Swept_Wing is practically staring at his map. "Yeah. We're getting closer, that's for sure."
[22:34] <Swoop> "Good. This tube is starting to annoy me with it's crampedness... That's a word now."
[22:34] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When the two pegasi reach the base of the command tower, they're greeted by the vent spreading immeately in a T, a sharp drop or climb.
[22:35] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There's a soft click on Astera's PipBuck, and the zebra's voice comes over it once more, "Countess, are you still there?"
[22:36] <Astera> "Yes Kaifa, what do you want?"
[22:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> "I have been discussing the matter with my constituants, and I would like to meet with the Princesses."
[22:38] <Swept_Wing> "Alright..." He peers up the the tunnel. "I don't think we'll be climbing up that." He looks for a grate leading out.
[22:39] <Swoop> "Shouldn't be too hard. The trick would be being quiet about it."
[22:39] <Astera> "Of course you do, how do you wish for this proceedure to take place? Are you abel to communicate fro myour side of the ship or are you comming to us?"
[22:42] * Swept_Wing frowns. "It's straight up with nothing to hold onto. You wanna try, be my guest, but I suggest dropping out and climbing the stairs normally."
[22:42] <Swoop> "Fine... no sense of adventure.."
[22:43] <Swept_Wing> "I'd rather not plummet to my death in an air vent."
[22:44] <GM||WavemasterRyx> "Well... as I'm sure the Princesses would never agree to come here, I will come to them. I'll need to use the Soul Communication, but I will need certain assurances first..."
[22:44] <Astera> "Such as?"
[22:46] <Swoop> "It'd hardly be a death. We're not five miles high, and, as an air vent, I highly doubt it's attached to the outside of the ship."
[22:49] <GM||WavemasterRyx> "That no harm comes to my body while I'm out, and that you and your team not interfere."
[22:49] * Swept_Wing hmms. "I suppose..." He shines his lamp down the shaft, trying to see how deep it went down. "But this ship is pretty tall..."
[22:50] <Swoop> "We'd totally hit a vent before the bottom of it. That would cushion our fall."
[22:50] * Clara climbs onto the bed next to the bug. <"I will have to name you, little one... I have not thought much about it."> She glances around, for the first time in a while noticing the company.
[22:51] <Swoop> "Or at least a turn in the tube..."
[22:51] <Astera> "Alright, you have yourself a deal."
[22:51] * High_Hopes is passed out on Astera_'s back.
[22:52] * Astera smiles at Clara. "Thats very cute, but we have other things to attend to." She turns and trots out of the room, towards the communications room.. "Lets go, Cammy."
[22:53] * Chameleon goes with Astera
[22:53] * High_Hopes does too! Not that she has much say in the matter, anyway.
[22:54] * Clara frowns a little and noses the grub. <"I must go. I will be back. Protect home!">
[22:54] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There's a smile to her voice, "Now, since I'm afraid I can't really trust you not to interfere, might I suggest you talk to one of the pilots about setting course to a crystal rich world. And send a doctor to Engineering."
[22:55] <Astera> "Why, we can all holds up at the gateroom whiles you have your trip in the communications device.. Much simpler dont you think?"
[22:56] * Clara gets off the bed and looks through her things, putting on her uniform and taking her weapon... as useless as it is. She gives the grub one final little nosing before she follows Astera, Cammy, and Hopes out.
[22:58] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The PipBuck channel clicks off. Moments later, the ship is jolted hard, the sound of an explosion ripping through the halls.
