  1. If Knox ever DID run a gym or a gym-like encounter, this might be a bit somewhat like what he'd do.
  2.
  3. High level, poison-themed encounter. The battle arena would be a greenhouse, inspired by Hana's, with a rather large beanstalk in the middle. Unlike Hana's, however, the greenhouse itself is suited to combat and is full of various traps. Not just poison traps, mind you, they'd consist of the following:
  4.
  5. Pressure plates that trigger poison gas.
  6.
  7. Tripwires that shoot blowdarts from hidden locations containing neurotoxin (paralysis)
  8.
  9. Levers disguised as foliage that, when brushed, activate a hose that sprays diluted Dragalge acid onto the target, lowering their poison resistance by one step, to a maximum of 1.5x Super Effective or removing their poison immunity if they have one (obviously doesn't apply to food). The spray nozzles can be turned manually by people next to them.
  10.
  11. Snares that root the victim and cause a bucket of Super Glue to encase the target, lowering their movement speeds to nearly nil and reducing their accuracy as if grappled. The right skill checks can identify the glue as being dissolvable by Dragalge acid.
  12.
  13.
  14. The thick foliage would serve as cover for Knox and his full contact team, with only half of them, if that, telegraphing their location at any given moment. Knox would favor a divide and conquer strategy, striking from hidden locations with his team of Pokemon and utilizing his Hunter bonuses. Challengers would have to be careful of any traps on the field as they move around - especially since he might reveal the location of a member of his team just to lead someone into one.
  15.
  16. Reginox would be the boss Pokemon at the end of the team wave, possessing extraordinary defenses and the ability to exploit the status effects of challengers with Venoshock, as well as the particularly nasty legendary aura it has. Resourceful trainers might figure out how to turn the arena's traps against the Regi, though.
