  26. Story
  27. The story takes place in the land of Agon, an amalgamation between the Roman Empire, Victorian England, and Ancient Athens. Agon is ruled by King Jacob Cole, who's slowly losing his mind to Void corruption because he read a Necronomicon stand-in called the Book of the Void. The Book of the Void, when read, awakens a Chaos God who lives in a dimension of madness and pure evil. This isn't helped by the fact there's a horde of Orcs at the border looking to plunder the riches and imprison the women of Agon.
  28.
  29. The people no longer trust their King due to his increasingly unstable temperment, and instead put their faith in the Guilds, groups of brave men and women who have taken up arms to defend their home while the army is away, which is almost all the time with the Orc threat at the borders. There are many Guilds in the land of Agon, almost too many to count, but there are three that stand out from all others due to their display of heroics.
  30.
  31. First are the Hands of Oberon Guild; a group of bodybuilding paladins who use heavy armor and big swords. They were founded by what are essentially Protestant monks who wanted to make a real difference rather than blessing soldiers. They act as community police, keeping the peace in settlements outside the city walls. Their legendary hero is Ludwig Auttenburg, the "Marble Knight", who can fight for months on end without getting tired.
  32.
  33. Second is the Dark Brotherhood founded by Brannon Stark, who is fantasy Batman. Members of the DB are Dark Knights, called so because of their black armor. They are also called crows because of their aforementioned black armor and beaked helmets. They act as Agon's resident vigilantes, dealing out the swift hand of justice when the Paladins or the Agoen military is too slow. This has led to an uneasy relationship between the Brotherhood and the Hands, who take due process and the law to heart. Brotherhood Dark Knights are also skilled bards.
  34. And the third Guild, the
