  1. 1. How accurate is the info in this post?
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/4f90x7/is_iorveth_ever_going_to_pop_up_again/d279yp0/
  3.
  4. 2. Did any of the content involving Isengrim get far along, or was he cut early? Also, I don’t know if you remember them, but there are also mentions of characters called Gronostaj and Yrlissa. Vernossiel is also mentioned in the docs – was her role always similar to the Woodland Beast quest, or did she originally have a different role?
  5.
  6. 3. What has the “end-game” for Iorveth, from a story perspective. Would he have been involved in Reasons of State? Would he have had the opportunity for a peaceful life, like his dream in TW2, or you know... would he have died or been killed? I know that originally, the game would have ended with the Wild Hunt attacking Novigrad and freezing the main square, so I assume that Iorveth would also have been involved in that fight.
  7.
  8. 4. How would Iorveth, or his Scoia'tael, have felt about the Wild Hunt? I could see the Hunt trying to persuade the Scoia'tael to fight with them, and then killing them once they had won the continent.
  9.
  10. 5. Was the dialogue in the Scoia'tael camp in the final game about Iorveth and Isengrim being spotted in Novigrad an oversight, a leftover from the original plan, or was it added once the content was cut as a kind of easter egg?
  11.
  12. 6. When talking about Iorveth’s planned content in the 2013 Game Informer reveal, Mr. Blacha said that Iorveth is not the man he was before. What did he mean by that?
  13.
  14. 7. What would have happened to Saskia? There was a comic released, where Vergen falls to Nilfgaard and is burned to the ground. Saskia then flee’s. Was that the original idea, or would something different have happened?
  15.
  16. 8. In relation to that, what was the original idea behind Iorveth leaving Vergen?
  17.
  18. 9. The renegade general you mentioned, the one with demonic powers, was that character called Hector Krafft Ebbing, alias Martin?
  19.
  20. 10. Was the plague that was effecting Iorveth’s Scoia'tael related to the plague (I think it was the Catriona) that the mage Alexander was working on, during the quest with Keira Metz to Fyke Isle. IIRC, one of the original options was to give the plague notes to Emhyr, who would have used it to win the war. That quest line was originally going to be part of deciding the outcome of the war, or something like that? IIRC, The Devil’s Pit location would have been involved in that quest. If you noclip through the locked doors, there’s an underground area with a bunch of burning bodies – I assume that they’re plague victims.

  23. 11. If it was related to that, I know that voice acting was done for Hector Krafft Ebbing, but was Iorveth’s, or any of the other Scoia'tael characters, voice acting also completed? I tried asking Mark Frost – the English VA for Iorveth – but he never replied to my communications. :p
  24.
  25. 12. Was the save import originally planned to have a bigger impact on the game? I recall reading in a German magazine from 2013 that if you had chosen Iorveth’s path in TW2, he would have been friendlier to you, but If you had chosen Roche, Iorveth would be pissed. Roche would be the same regardless, just like in TW2 when he helps you even if you side with Iorveth, because he’s Broche. :P
  26.
  27. 13. Who put the: “Who gives a fuck about the Scoia'tael anymore” line in the game, when you speak with Roche for the first time at his hideout. Not going to lie, that one cut deep. :D I still care, man. Don’t you remember, I sided with them in TW2.
  28.
  29. 14. This is a long shot, but what was this chunk that was left in the base game, referring to? chunk[362] = {name = "The uber-Roche Fixer",comment = "Iorveth's Curse Ends HERE",embeddedGraph = 363,}
  30.
  31. 15. This is a bit of a cheeky one, but did cutting Iorveth’s content / the Nilgaardian-centric war content have a domino effect on the quests in Novigrad? For instance, even though the leaked docs aren’t the be all and end all, they’re very incomplete, they do show that a lot of the quests that happen in “Act 1” in the final game, were originally planned to happen in “Act 2”, after you go to Kaer Morhen. One of those is Now or Never, which would have made more sense happening later in the game, IMO.
  32.
  33. 16. Was there ever a plan, or even just a desire from some of the team members, to do an Enhanced Edition, or a third expansion that would have added back some of the cooler cut ideas? You know that people would have paid for it. Hell, I’d still put down $40 right now just to see the rough version of Iorveth’s content. I’ve a lot of people say that if CDPR could have made 2 expansions, they could have done something to fix Iorveth, but as you mentioned adding in content late into production is difficult. Plus, didn’t Krakow studio spend like two years doing pre-production for Blood and Wine? The expansions were planned pretty earlier on, and were done somewhat independently of the base game right?

  36. In relation to other cut content
  37. 1. Obviously, the Wild Hunt were meant to have a bigger role originally. IIRC, there was a big quest in Skellige were Geralt would have infiltrated the Hunt by disguising himself as a Hunt soldier. There was also stuff shown at a behind closed doors presentation at E3 2013. This quest involved a guy called Bjorn (from a cut village called Dalvik (sp?). This is the guy that speaks in the VGX trailer, about seeing a ship made of the claws of dead men, and I assume the village of Dalvik is the one that's bruning in the VGX trailer. Crach also has a bit of dialogue in that presentation. All that dialogue from the presentation is pretty badass by the way, a pity that it didn’t make it.

  40.
  41. 2. Did characters like Corinne Tilly, The King of Beggars / Francis Bedlam, Cleaver and Zoltan originally have larger roles?
  42.
  43. 3. Were characters like Adda the White, Anais and Aryan La Valette and John Natalis originally planned to be in the game? I thought it was odd that the Baroness La Valette was in the game, but doesn’t mention her own daughter, Anais. Considering that the fate of Temeria is a theme in the game, wouldn’t it have made sense for Anais to appear, as she would be the one to rule Temeria under Nilfgaard.
  44.
  45. 4. There’s an area in Novigrad, in the final game, called chunk[87] = {name = "CStickerComponent0",sq304_fringilla Fringilla's Hideout",}. What was that about? Did she originally have a larger role?
  46.
  47. 5. Why was part of the omelette scene cut? One for Papa Vesemir, slays me everytime. :D

  49.
  50. 6. In the leaked docs, there’s mention of an orgy arena, as well as ritual suicides taking place during the quest with the Crones and Imlerith, near the end of the game. How far along did that stuff get?
  51.
  52. 7. I had the opportunity to speak with Doug Cockle, and he mentioned that he recorded a quest in Novigrad where Geralt would have infiltrated a paedophile ring. That quest was actually rewritten twice and then recorded, because of its sensitive nature. Do you remember anything about that?
  53.
  54. 8. Who was Blanka? This was a quest that was going to take place in Novigrad. Main quest - q305_blanka. There’s also an NPC called “Blanka guard”.
  55.
  56. 9. Unrelated to TW3, but did you work on TW2? I’m curious about the cut Act 4 set in Dol Blathanna. Francesca Findabair is named dropped so many times in the previous acts, it would have been really cool to see her.
  57.
  58. 10. Was Fake Ciri originally planned to be in Skellige? This concept art for the Cerys finalboard looks just like how I'd imagine Fake Ciri looking.
  59. http://i.imgur.com/LvIxLdd.png
  60. She is mentioned in the leaked docs under the production name Becca, but there's so much missing or just simply difficult to understand that I couldn't figure out what her role would have been.
