  1. >Day Ghostbusters in Equestria
  2. >Wake up the next day feeling pretty relaxed
  3. >You have enough bits in your pocket and savings
  4. >About 150 all together, so you're in a good spot
  5. >Decide to take a day off to enjoy yourself
  6. >Sat in your kitchen eating the increasingly disturbing cereal "Cheery Chews" brand
  7. >You swear the person that designed these cereals was depraved
  8. >The first one you ate was called "Friendly Fudge"
  9. >Then they brought out a new one called "Jobless Juicey"
  10. >Then it was "Wife-beating Blast"
  11. >Finally they came out with "I'm going to prison Surprise"
  12. >Like the names of the cereal, the stuff itself tasted even more depressing each time they brought out a new one.
  13. >You're currently eating "Rehabilitation Rhubarb"
  14. >It's just rhubarb.
  15. >You're eating rhubarb for breakfast out of a cardboard box.
  16. >Goddamn horses.
  17. >You read the description of the toys you got with it
  18. >"This is Crazy Caramel! Don't let him stay alone with Wife Windy, or Husband Hershel will go on a road trip with the cops again!"
  19. >Shake your head and finish your rhubarb
  20. >Suddenly notice the dead silence in your kitchen
  21. >Your clock doesn't tick, and there are no birds outside chirping. So you stand taking in an unnerving peacefulness for a few seconds
  22. >Realise that Fluttershy hasn't shown her face all morning
  23. >Maybe she moved on?
  24. >She would have woken you
  25. >Or at least tried one last rape attempt with her freaky ghost powers before she left
  26. >Grab your trusty jacket off the coat rack
  27. >Notice a small hole where the stitches hold the arm to the shoulder
  28. >Let out a groan
  29. >Guess it's a trip to Rarity's today
  30. >You needed to visit her anyway, you suppose.
  31. >Head out the door and walk towards the boutique
  32. >Take the familiar route through town, the Market.
  33. >Today is incredibly quiet, only a few stalls are set up
  34. >The few ponies that are set up are either looking very bored or asleep
  35. >See one such pony sat at her stall playing with a cucumber
  36. >No, you flithy animal.
  37. >God damn.
  38. >She's rolling it around on the stall counter
  39.
  40. 1/?
  41.
  42. >Walk on over
  43. >She sees you coming and her day looks like it was just made
  44. >Hastily she puts the cucumber back in a box
  45. Hope you weren't planning on selling that, Greenthumb.
  46. >She blushes fiercly
  47. >"N-not at all, Anon. So uhh. What brings you around here?"
  48. Nothing really. Just saw that not too many stalls were set up. Any luck today?
  49. >"A few customers. About 5 from my daily quota. H-how about you? Is your stall ok?"
  50. >Grin at her
  51. >She realises what she just said
  52. >"Oh. Umm. Yeah. Sorry."
  53. >She's like Fluttershy.
  54. >Without the rape
  55. Well it's good to hear that you're getting somewhere. Applejack and Carrot Top aren't around today so you have a good chance of selling lots of stuff!
  56. >She beams at that
  57. >"Yup! I sure hope so."
  58. >Then she starts shuffling her hooves around
  59. >"I like it when you visit me, Anon. It gives me motivation..."
  60. >Smile warmly
  61. That's alright, Greenthumb. I'm happy to help a friend.
  62. >At the word friend she displays a shadow of a wince
  63. Something wrong?
  64. >"Well umm. I was kinda hoping."
  65. >She clears her throat and stands up tall, looking you in the eye with determination you rarely see her show
  66. >"I want to go out with you to dinner."
  67. >You stare at her for a moment
  68. >As you expected, her composure quickly crumbles and she slumps again, looking at you sheepishly
  69. >"Uhh. Is that okay?"
  70. I'd love to, Greenthumb.
  71. >Grin to show her you mean it
  72. >And you do.
  73.
  74. 2/?
  75.
  76. >You haven't actually been interested in anyone around here, in the two years you've been in this world.
  77. >Fluttershy was off the list for obvious reasons, the rest of the Mane 6 were volatile, even Applejack with her workaholism.
  78. >Rarity was far more depraved than you imagined, and preferred the company of other mares, much to your shock
  79. >Twilight had OCD and took every little comment like a steak to the heart
  80. >Rainbow Dash had an ego the size of Canterlot, and no matter how hard you looked you couldn't see any cracks in it. Either she's masking her real self incredibly well or she's genuinely that self-centered.
  81. >Pinkie Pie was Hyper Active and surprisingly scary when she wanted to be
  82. >She once locked you in her basement and forcefed you delicious candy for an hour because you didn't feel like eating much
  83. >Lovely mare, but utterly terrifying.
  84. >Applejack, as you mentioned, was always working. You were amazed that she ever found time to spend with her friends. And her brother was incredibly protective of her around stallions.
  85. >On top of all that, none of the Mane 6, bar Fluttershy, had ever shown an interest in you.
  86. >Maybe Rainbow Dash when she got drunk, but her reasons for trying to get you in bed was so she could claim that she once "Fucked an entire species"
  87. >Technically she was right, but you weren't in the mood after she went on about how mastering your dick would be one SMALL step for ponykind
  88. >Fucking Rainbow Dash.
  89. >You wanted someone normal
  90. >Someone down to earth
  91. >Simple
  92. >Nice
  93. >Funny in their own little way
  94. >No freaky magic powers or wings
  95. >Just someone normal to spend and enjoy time with
  96. >Greenthumb might be that mare
  97. >She looks up at you with a innocent smile
  98. >"Oh wow, uhh... Great! Sooo Where should we meet?"
  99. Right here? It's easier.
  100. >"Sounds good! Tomorrow? If you're not busy, that is."
  101. I can make room.
  102.
  103. 3/?
  104.
  105. >With that you say your goodbyes and you leave her looking more awake and motivated than ever
  106. >You hope things go ok. It would be nice to be with someone who doesn't want to rape you.
  107. >You pass a shop window and look at the wares
  108. >That cake looks awfully good
  109. >You peer closer
  110. >Suddenly the icing takes on a new shape
  111. >Fluttershy's face
  112. >And she looks pissed
  113. >You take a step back and shake your head
  114. >Looking again, the icing is normal.
  115. >Must have all been in your head
  116. >You HAVE been thinking about her a lot today. Maybe you're just tired.
  117. >Putting her out of your mind, you walk towards Rarity's shop.
  118. >One uneventful walk later you march through the door, the little bell above the shop door telling her of your arrival
  119. >Her head pokes out from behind a dress rack
  120. >"Oh, Anon, dear! How are you?"
  121. >She gets busy fussing over you, checking your clothes and hair style
  122. >"You simply must get a trim, it's getting too long. Most unbefitting for a man such as yourself."
  123. >She goes on about how you always suited shorter hair while you wait for her to stop
  124. Rarity-
  125. >"And your pants! They're a mess! Have you been... Painting with them on?!"
  126. Rar-
  127. >"Ugh, your jacket is also filthy, do you wear that everywhere you go?"
  128. Rarity.
  129. >"I ah- yes, darling?"
  130. This is about my jacket. Could you please mend this bit for me?
  131. >You point out the broken stitches and the hole
  132. >"Ahh, say no more, Anon. say no more."
  133.
  134. 4/?
  135.
  136. >She takes the jacket from you and trots into the backroom, telling you to wait right there.
  137. >Stand around, inspecting the room for a few minutes
  138. >Feel a slight breeze from behind
  139. >Turn to see if it was a window
  140. >All the windows are shut. As is the door.
  141. >You feel a sense of dread
  142. >Hear a faint noise behind you, like a breathe on your neck
  143. >Spin around
  144. >Nothing there
  145. >Hear Rarity singing to herself in the next room
  146. >"I'll not be a moment, Anonymous! This seam is giving me a bit of trouble but not to worry!"
  147. >Another draft blows past you
  148. >Stay perfectly still
  149. >"I'm not very happy, Anon."
  150. >That wasn't Rarity.
  151. >That was Fluttershy.
  152. >Turn to face her
  153. >She's not there
  154. >Whisper so that Rarity doesn't hear you
  155. Fluttershy? Where are you?
  156. >No reply
  157. >The breeze has also stopped
  158. >You're well and truly alone in the room
  159. >Shortly after, Rarity skips back into the room looking pleased with herself
  160. >"Those humans know how to stitch! I've never had to match such precise hoofwork before! But I did it!"
  161. Thank you so much, Rarity. Really. This jacket means a lot to me.
  162. >"Oh well I know all about that. But you never told me much about the fashion scene there... Pity. I'd love to know how you manage to do such a flawless job with these jackets."
  163. >The jacket in question was something cheap you picked up back home
  164. >Machine stitched, naturally. Far more precise than what Rarity uses.
  165.
  166. 5/?
  167.
  168. >You leave the boutique, happy that your jacket lives to fight another day
  169. >But Fluttershy is now on your mind more than ever
  170. >Not happy? About what?
  171. >Were you really not seeing things in that shop window?
  172. >You decide to head home, seeing as you haven't got much to do but relax today.
  173. >Actually, a few books might be in order
  174. >Take a detour to the Library to pick some up
  175. >Knock on the door, which is opened by Spike
  176. >"Heya, Anon! Here for Twilight?"
  177. Nah. Just books. Mind if I look around?
  178. >"Sure, whatever. Come on in."
  179. >You step through and start searching through the non-fiction section
  180. >'Ghosts, Goblins and Ghoulish creatures'
  181. >'1001 ways to spot a Ghost'
  182. >'Ghost stories for foals'
  183. >'How to tell if you have pissed off the supernatural'
  184. >Well thanks, universe. I appreciate it.
  185. >Hear a thud behind you
  186. >Turn to see Twilight faceplanted at the bottom of the stairs
  187. >She speaks, her voice muffled by the floor
  188. >"I heard your voice. Came to see how you are"
  189. That's nice, dear.
  190. >Turn back around and keep browsing
  191. >Twilight picks herself up and walks up behind you
  192. >"Sooo. Fiction. Wouldn't you rather read something nicer? Like the social/cultural impact of modern magics in the last century?"
  193. >Roll your eyes
  194. Just a quick story, Twilight. Something to uhh, take my mind off a few things.
  195. >"How about this?"
  196. >'"You're a dead pony" - And other spooky tales'
  197. Really, Twilight? Really?
  198. >She blushes
  199. >"Well you are sorta searching through the horror section of the Library"
  200.
  201. 6/?
  202.
  203. >Realise that you are
  204. >Now you feel silly
  205. >Twilight helps you sift through some more books until you settle on a few, a romantic tale about two stallions called 'Horseback Peak', an adventure/comedy called 'World of Discs' and a tragedy called 'in the place of a parent'.
  206. >Satisfied with your choices, you head on back.
  207. >Your walk is quiet. You wave to a few ponies and enjoy the heat of the sun on the back of your neck
  208. >Everything is peaceful. Way too peaceful
  209. >It scares you
  210. >Maybe you're just being paranoid
  211. >So Fluttershy isn't gone, big deal. You can cope with her
  212. >Right?
  213. >She's undead, you can't touch her, she can touch you, she can follow you anywhere you go, and she was a rapist in life.
  214. >You'll be fine
  215. >You feel yourself sweating as you near your door
  216. >You've got nothing to be scared of
  217. >You fumble to put your keys in the lock
  218. >Nothing to worry about
  219. >Turn the key
  220. >Nothing to fear
  221. >Push open the door
  222. >Nothing to lose any sleep over
  223. >Your house is silent
  224. >Stand looking into the gloomy dark
  225. >All your curtains are shut, you must have not opened them this morning
  226. >Yeah, that must be it.
  227. >You quiver slightly as you walk through the door
  228. >The walls seem to be closing in
  229. >Are they closing in?
  230. >No they're still
  231. >WHAT WAS THAT
  232. >Oh it was the clock
  233. >You grip the books in your hands as hard as you can
  234. >Your fingers are going numb from the strain
  235.
  236. 7/?
  237.
  238. >Glance at yourself in the mirror
  239. >Stop shaking and stare
  240. >Your face is pale and sweat is making your forehead glisten
  241. >Breathe deeply
  242. Ok Anon. It's okay. Calm down
  243. >Manage a smile
  244. >The nervous human in the mirror replicates it
  245. It's just your house
  246. >"It's mine too"
  247. >Scream like a little girl
  248. >Drop the books
  249. >Run upstairs as fast as you can and barricade yourself in the bathroom
  250. >Fluttershy appears in the bathtub and pulls back the curtain, wearing a showercap and holding a louffa
  251. >You scream again and fumble with the door
  252. >Managing to throw it open and slightly damage the hinges you quite literally throw yourself downstairs
  253. >You hit several steps on the way down and bounce slightly in a comedic fashion
  254. >Several choice words escape your lips as you tumble
  255. >Hitting the bottom you groan
  256. >Turn your head to the left
  257. >Fluttershy is led on her side next to you, her head rested on a hoof
  258. >She's glaring at you
  259. >Slowly pick yourself up and drag yourself to the still open door, which seems to be a beacon of light in the darkness you find yourself in
  260. >Now's not the time for poetic metaphors, brain
  261. >Sorry
  262. >You rest a hand on the doorframe and gasp for breath
  263. >A pair of supernaturally strong limbs grab your left leg and pull
  264. >You struggle and grip the edge of the doorframe, kicking out against the monster pulling you back
  265. >Unable to hold on any longer, you lose your grip and get dragged backwards along the floor back into your house, screaming the whole time
  266. >You flail your hands in panic as your salvation slips away from you
  267. >As you scream a ghostly force slams the door shut before your eyes and locks it
  268. >Fluttershy's been busy
  269.
  270. 8/?
  271.
  272. >In total darkness you lie on the floor
  273. >Every shadow seems enhanced by your fear
  274. >You twitch madly and sit up, scrambling over to a wall and wrapping your arms around your legs
  275. F-fluttershy? Are you there?
  276. >A hollow sounding voice answers you, coming from the very walls themselves
  277. >"Of course I'm here, Anon. I'll always be here."
  278. >You shudder
  279. Was that you today? In the cake and Rarity's shop? Why are you doing this?
  280. >"Because I love you, Anon. I always have."
  281. That's no reason to follow me everywhere. But why are you so angry? Because I left the house?
  282. >"Oh no, not at all. You can do WHAT you want."
  283. >You don't like the emphasis on 'What'
  284. >"I just don't like you doing WHO you want."
  285. >Uh oh. She can't mean-
  286. >"I watched you flirt with that simple little stand owner today, Anon. I saw you laughing and chatting like she's your lover. Do you love her Anon?"
  287. What? No! I just like her as a friend-
  288. >"LIAR!"
  289. >At that moment Fluttershy explodes out of the wall, her face contorted with the sort of rage you'd see in the Devil himself
  290. >She shrieks like a banshee and flies straight through you into the wall you're sat against
  291. >"I SAW YOU! DON'T LIE TO ME! I SEE EVERYTHING YOU DO!"
  292. B-but what about other ponies seeing you? Don't yo-
  293. >The house shakes, pictures on a nearby shelf shuffling around from the quake
  294. >You slam your mouth shut and stay quiet
  295. >"There's more to being a spirit than meets the eye, honey."
  296. I-I'm n-not your... honey...
  297. >Whoops
  298. >Fluttershy rises out of the floorboards infront of you, her face a frightening combination of calm serenity and unbridled rage
  299. >She smiles sweetly at you and strokes your face, her eyes narrowed and mouth slightly open
  300. >She breathes out as her hoof touches your cheek
  301. >You recoil slightly from how ice cold it was
  302. >Fluttershy pauses, then continues to stroke you
  303. >"Hush now, my little Anon. I'll keep you safe from that horrible mare. Don't you worry. I'm not just confined to this house."
  304. >With that she floats through the wall into the outside world, humming an innocent tune
  305.
  306. 9/?
  307.
  308. NO!
  309. >You stagger to your feet and run at the front door, trying desperately to pull the lock back
  310. >It won't budge
  311. >You slam your shoulder into the door over and over again, the solid wood harming you more than you're harming it
  312. >Gripping your hair you scream in frustration
  313. >Your mind wanders to what that psychopath might do to Greenthumb
  314. >She won't even see it coming
  315. >You roar again and run into the living room
  316. >You look around for anything
  317. >See the window
  318. >It's a large window designed to let the sun in and give you something to look through as you read
  319. >Single glazed glass
  320. >Pick up a book and hurl it at the glass
  321. >The book bounces right off, not leaving a scratch
  322. >Shocked, you inspect the glass
  323. >You press a hand to it
  324. >A faint blue aura meets your hand, rendering it unable to actually touch the glass
  325. >You push your palm against it as hard as you can
  326. >The aura gives in slightly, and you're able to touch the glass itself, but as soon as you relax, the aura bounces back against your hand
  327. >You need something bigger
  328. >Look around
  329. >You eyes settle on your beloved reading chair
  330. >You strain yourself and pick up the armchair
  331. >Struggling to hold it, let alone walk, you stumble towards the window and with all your strength, hurl it straight at the glass
  332. >The chair slams against the glass and flies straight through, you quickly follow it out and watch from outside as the blue barrier quickly reforms over your exit
  333. >Look at the chair
  334. >The fabric is ruined
  335. >Mutter a quick sorry to your faithful companion throughout your literary crusade in this world and set off running towards Ponyville
  336.
  337. 10/?
  338.
  339. >You are Greenthumb
  340. >Today was absolutely brilliant
  341. >Not only did you manage to sell 5 bits over your quota, you got a date with Anon!
  342. >You giggle slightly as you walk into your kitchen and set your bits on the counter
  343. >Smile proudly at it
  344. >Look around your house for a while in content silence
  345. >It's a small house
  346. >Single story, one bedroom, kitchen and a bathroom.
  347. >But it's yours
  348. >And that's all that matters
  349. >But soon, maybe it will be more than yours...
  350. >You blush slightly and smile even harder at the thought
  351. >You trot into your bedroom and pick up a magazine
  352. >Some fashion mag full of clothes you'll never afford
  353. >But it's nice to look at the pictures
  354. >Stare wistfully at a beautiful dress in the top right of the page
  355. >You'll need something to wear for your date with Anon
  356. >Walk over to your closet and pull out your special 'going out' piece you saved for special occasions
  357. >A simple little thing, it goes with your blue coat quite well
  358. >You gasp as you pull it out
  359. >Tears begin to form
  360. >The whole thing is utterly shredded
  361. >Pieces of fabric drop from the wreck and you fight to hold back your tears
  362. >Slump to the floor, clutching the remains of the dress
  363. >You sob quietly for a while
  364. >Stare at it once more
  365. >You can't even imagine how this could have happened
  366. >Unless somep0ny has been in your house...
  367. >You eyes widen
  368. >Run to your safebox under your bed, where your savings are
  369. >Punch in the combination and open the lid
  370. >A single bit lies inside
  371.
  372. 11/?
  373.
  374. >Gawp at it
  375. >You had saved over 55 bits over the last 3 months
  376. >The tears begin to flow once more and you miserably close the box
  377. >Why you?
  378. >As the tears continue to fall, you walk into your kitchen where your sack of bits is
  379. >It's not on the counter
  380. >It's on the kitchen table
  381. >And a mare is sat at the table looking straight at you
  382. >But not just any mare
  383. >The Element of Kindness herself, Fluttershy.
  384.
  385. 12/12
