  1. Hey, its P!ka again, with the team with which I got top finisher for the second water core ladder challenge.
  2. The core for the challenge was Poltoed and Ludicolo. So yeah, I built a team based on what the core suggested- swift swim offense.
  3. First I added mega swampert, which is the perfect mega to have on an SS based team. Then I have Empoleon for rocks and standard defensive rotom-wash. For the last mon, I chose tail glow + 3 attacks Manaphy which is a great wallbreaker and also my best bet against mega venusaur.
  4.
  5. Empoleon is what I generally lead with to get my rocks up straight away, otherwise I try to predict the opponent's lead and play accordingly. When using the team, I find the best opportunity to switch to politoed on a weak attack, that wouldn't Ko it, and then start sweeping with Ludicolo or swampert thanks to eject button giving me maximum rain turns I can get. I have rain dance on swampert as a backup rain setter cause its bulky enough to do the job most of the time. Politoed and manaphy deal with things that I cant break with Ludicolo and Swampert, while rotom deals with physical attackers.
  6.
  7. Overall its a great core for SS based teams, and really effective in a more offensive metagame, such as monotype.

  72. Threats: Apart from grass mons like Serperior and mega venusaur, the only things I found really threatening to the team were thundurus(tbolt+ grass knot variant) and sticky webs based bug teams, especially with Mega Heracross, but the team does have something to deal with all of them, and its really easy to use against most types. xD
