- Challenge #8 - Code #2 - Explanation
- The Input of, (http://imgur.com/a/nBh5a#0), is: "learn how to see Realize that everything connects to everything else".
- This code is simple, but it seems highly unlikely as I try to explain it through text versus doing it visually.
- Encode 1 word at a time, find the x,y (A-E) coordinates of each input letter within a 5x5 grid table. Create a 5 row grid and start at the top left corner. Connect from the starting point to the next column of the 1st coordinate. If the next coordinate is above the previous coordinate, then connect to the line above that next coordinate
- For example:
- If our Input is: "hello world", we first split them into 2 groups because there are 2 words:
- "hello"
- "world"
- Next, we create a 5x5 grid and starting from left to right and going down, we fill the boxes with a-z (having the last box encompass both y and z). Assign the coordinate system by assigning A-E for the rows and columns. ((A,A)=U, (E,E)=E, (A,E)=A, (E,A)=Y/Z etc.)
- Converting out input groups would leave us with:
- h= (C,D)
- e= (E,E)
- l= (B,C)
- l= (B,C)
- o= (E,C)
- w= (C,A)
- o= (E,C)
- r= (C,B)
- l= (B,C)
- d= (D,E)
- Now we create a 5 row grid starting with A to E:

- Start from the top left corner and draw a line over to the 1st coordinate:
- 1st coordinates: (C,D)
- 1st coordinate: C
- Top left corner to Line C:

- If the next coordinate, (D), is lower than or the same as the first coordinate, (C), then the line will go up to the top line for the next column and then back down to the next coordinate line, (D):

- Do this for the next coordinates, (E,E), and you'll end up with:

- But if the next coordinate, (B), is above the previous coordinate, (E), then just draw the line straight to above the next coordinate line, (B):

- and carry on to draw the line to the coordinate, (B):

- After doing this for all of the coordinates, finish off by drawing a line straight to the top.
- Keep doing these steps and you'll end up with two images for the two words:
- hello: http://imgur.com/j2bjvQX
- world: http://imgur.com/9hjcu2P
- I see a lot potential in this, but only if certain things were adjusted and accounted for haha.
- That's all there is to this code. :D
- Thanks for participating for Code #1! :D
