  1. Being Rarity
  2.
  3. >"C'mon Rarity why can't you see that Norman's in love with you?" The enraged Pinkie screams at the top of her lungs "he's always going the extra mile for you and you somehow treat him in the same way as everyone else. There's a limit to his patience, you know?"
  4. >"Norman likes me?" ha, as if "Nah, he's just a gentleman. He'd treat any lady in the way he treats me"
  5. >As I say this, my room's door opens behind my back
  6. >"Hey sis, can I make Norman my boyfriend?" Sweetie Belle says something I could have never predicted
  7. >"WHAT???" I voice my surprise "No Sweetie, you shouldn't, I mean there's surely someone more appropriate for you. You can't make him your boyfriend. Understood?"
  8. >"WHY NOT?" she protests "It's not like he's YOUR boyfriend or anything"
  9. >"Oooh, this is getting exciting" says Pinkie
  10. >"Silence Pinkie" my sister and I speak in unison
  11. >"Okay" replies my pink friend looking slightly startled
  12. >"Anyways" I regain my composure and begin talking again "I'm not saying I want him as my boyfriend, I'm just telling you to look somwhere else. I mean, there are plenty of guys better than Norman, and you certainly deserve the best. So listen to your big sister and get another guy to be your boyfriend"
  13. >"Why is Norman not good enough?" my sisters voice is raising its tone "Despite what everyone says, he's always been a good boy, and I've never seen him treat anyone badly. And he's been so good to me ever since we met him"
  14. >"Well, as I said before, Norman is a gentleman, he's not treating you in a special manner at all, he's like that to everyone" I let out a smug smile as if I was winning something
  15. >Sweetie Belle looks away from me for a second only to look directly into my eyes with a face full of resolve
  16. >"I love Norman and he'll be my boyfriend wether you like it or not"
  17. >She turns around and leaves
  18.

  21. >"It's finally happening" Pinkie says "Someone else finally fell for our Normie. How does it feel to have competition? and to think that said competition is going to be your sister, what are you going to do now?"
  22. >"Well, if she ever tells him that she likes him, I'd have to be a good big sister and support her love"
  23. >hahaha, as if that could ever happen, I haven't got the courage to tell him about my feelings, so my little sister won't be able to do so either
  24. >"I really hope you don't have to swallow your words" Pinkie speaks, for a change in a serious tone "Your little sister may be more daring than what you could ever hope to be"
  25. >"Ha, she doesn't stand a chance, she'll cower as soon as she's in front of him"
  26. >"I really don't know about that" Pinkie gives her veredict
  27.
  28. Next day
  29.
  30. >This has been quite a bad day at school, may I be worrying abour Sweetie and Norman?
  31. >Naah
  32. >Talk about coincidences, there they are
  33. >"Hi Norman, hi Sweetie!" I wave my arm at them
  34. >"Oh, hi Rarity/Aryan" they speak simultaneously "guess what, we're getting married!"
  35. >"Whaaat?!"
  36. >My scream makes me realize that I'm still on my bed and it's 4 am
  37. >Okay, I guess I may be a little worried
  38.
  39. ____________________________
  40.
  41. >That sure was a stupid dream, there's no way Norman would go after Sweetie, even though she's cute and pretty, has a nice voice, and is kind of in love with him. She's three years younger than him, and that's a lot. Who am I lying to, Othello had a way younger wife and she loved him, despite his jealousy
  42. >What can I do? should I help her?, should I sotp her? what if Norman has someone he likes already?
  43. >I don't want my dear little sister's heart to be broken
  44. >I will do all I can to make her aware of his many flaws in order to deter her from that supercifial crush she has on him
  45. >After reflecting on my situation, I get up and prepare school
  46. >During breakfast, Sweetie's cold stare pierces my body. It seems yesterday's war declaration was indeed serious
  47. >"What's going on here?" dad asks, "Why are you both so angry? sisters sould get along with each other"
  48. >"I'd say it's boy problems" mom interjects "our little sweethearts are already a pair of young ladies afterall"
  49. >"Boy problems?" dad says "I can't believe they have grown up so much, I'd swear they were drooling all over the place just a few days ago"
  50. >"Oh yeah, those were the days," mom continues "Remember when they used some crayons as make up?"
  51. >Darn, my parents embarass me so much, I can't wait for the day in which I'm finally out of this place
  52. >After some more shameful memories, mom takes the word once again
  53. >"What happened Sweetie?"
  54. >"It's just that Rarity doesn't want me to have a boyfriend just because she hasn't got one"
  55.
  56. _______________________
  57.
  58. >"WHY YOU LITTLE-"
  59. >"Calm down Rarity, it's not something that serious" mom says "C'mon Sweetie, your sister is only trying to protect you, and Rarity, your little sister is already old enough to have a boyfriend, you shouldn't be so overprotective of her"
  60. >"Well," I say after regaining composure "if the boy she likes didn't dress up like a hobo, I wouldn't mind at all" a smirk punctuates my words
  61. >"mmm..." Mom reflects on something "doesn't that boy you like dress up like a hobo too"
  62. >What? how does she...?
  63. >"What was his name?" she wonders
  64. >"NORMAN DOESN'T DRESS LIKE A HOBO, HE'S STYLISH" Yells Sweetie before storming out
  65. >"Uhhm, I guess I'll talk to her" my dad who had been silent up to this moment goes after Sweetie
  66. >"Listen Deary," mom says "I know you like that boy, but you shouldn't tease her so much just because she's messing your game"
  67. >"What? I would never fall for a boy like him, he's got no style, and he treats me in the same way he treats everyone else, I'll only fall in love with someone who makes me feel at least as special as I am"
  68. >"Just keep saying that, and you'll keep waiting forever" Mom can be very harsh at times "anyways, get going, it's time for school. And please try to not make your sister too angry?"
  69. >"Why do I always have to give everything up to Sweetie?"
  70. >"I'm not telling you to let her take your boy., I just want to tell you that no matter what happens, she'll always be your sister, and no problem will ever change that"
  71. >"I know that, mom. Now, if you excuse me, I have to go"
  72. >Mom just gives me a worried look as I say goodbye. I don't think I can tell her she's worrying over nothing
  73. >As I told my mom, I'll never forget Sweetie is my sister; so, despite the tension between us, we walk to school together
  74. >Our silence makes the road feel longer that usual
  75. >I guess this will be a long day
  76.

  78.
  79.
  80. >Once in class, the day continues as it normally does
  81. >Okay, let's think of some good flaws for Norman, I have to find a way to make him less attractive to Sweetie. I know that racist thing won't work because they already know each other, so I need something else
  82. >I look at him attentively trying to find something I could exploit
  83.
  84. Being Norman
  85.
  86. >Today, Rarity has been constantly looking at me, did I finally get her attention?
  87. >Maybe, Today's my chance
  88. >C'mon Norman, look handsome
  89. >I smile as I look back at her
  90.
  91. Being Rarity
  92.
  93. >Oh Norman, we truly are in synchrony, just when I try to find your flaws, you do your best to look like a creep
  94. >Wait, isn't our mental connection a good thing?
  95. >Damnit, I need to find something I don't like of him, other than his beanie and his lack of popularity
  96. >Is he posing? Come on Norman, I need to find your actual defects, if you fake them it won't work
  97. >I guess I have to, I can't believe I'm thinking of this, stalk him from the shadows. That poses another problem, how will I hide my fabulous person within this lousy crowd. He'll immediately notice my stylish silhouette amidst this inelegant mob
  98. >Well, as today seems to b the bad idea day, let's fully go with it, only she can help me now
  99. >After looking for a while, I finally find her and ask from her a favor I hope I don't need ever again
  100. >"Applejack, could you lend me some clothes?" It's common sense to bring at least three sets of clothing to any place you may visit afterall
  101. >"Uhmm, Ah ain't got any spare clothes, only mah overalls an' a shirt" I don't know what was I expecting from this uncouth girl. Don't get me wrong, she's a good friend, but she always disappoints me with her clothing choices
  102. >In any case, these horrible things I wouldn't really call clothes, will hide my identity form any observer. No one would believe I'm wearing this afterall
  103. >"Thank you so much Applejack"
  104. >"Yer welcome,... Ah guess"
  105. ____________________________________________
  106.
  107. >Now that I have the proper uhmm attire, I can blend with the crowd and spy on Norman
  108. >I arrived just in time to see him being approached by Sweetie and her friends
  109. >They lead him by his hand to a more private place, it seems
  110. >I can't believe my sister is this direct for this stuff, I'd really like to be like her in this respect. Afterall, this isn't about getting any guy to do something for her, she's about to tell him she's in love
  111. >I kind of hope he rejects her
  112. >I follow them without being noticed until we arrive to a secluded part of the school
  113. >"Norman, I hav something I want you to listen to" Sweetie is about to confess her feelings
  114. >Scotaloo and Applebloom leave the tentative couple alone, but instead of actually going away, they hide in the close proximity, pretty much like what I am doing right now
  115. >"This song represents what I feel for a person who's very special to me" She's going to sing her confession? I'm doomed
  116. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbuQNTSkYfU
  117. >Game over, I lost, I can't even think of doing something like that, it'd be so embarassing
  118. >Norman walks up to her, his face shows his surprise. My heart is ready to be broken
  119. >"That was wonderful Mini Aryan," Mini Aryan? he sure is bad with names, but I guess that calling a girl sweetie would be kind of awkward if she's not your girlfriend
  120. >"Who's the lucky guy?" eh? "I can only imagine how it would feel to have such a cute girl like you being in love with me"
  121. >"Uuhm..." Sweetie stutters "well, ... that boy... you... uuhm"
  122. >Oh no, poor Sweetie, to think that your wonderful and straightforward confession would fail to get to his mind. I guess I don't need to look for a flaw in him anymore. I can't believe he's this dense
  123. >Sweetie continues stuttering "That boy... he... he wouldn't ever like me"
  124. >Now I feel guilty for wanting him to reject you
  125.
  126. _________________________________________--
  127.
  128. >"Listen Sweetie," Norman speaks "any guy would want a girl like you, you are beautiful, sympathetic, cute, intelligent, and a good girl. There's no way a guy would reject you, you just need to be straightforward about it. Believe me, I would love it if a girl like you laid her eyes one me; so trust me when I say that the boy you like will be really happy when you tell him so"
  129. >I can't believe what he's saying, I'm starting to really not like him at all, how can he be such an idiot?
  130. >"You have my full support, just tell me who that guy is, I'll be your wingman"
  131. >After hearing such imbecility and seeing how Sweetie just looked away from him, I abandon my stealth and walk up to them. Taking Sweetie's hand, I drag her away from Norman without even pronouncing a word
  132. >"Rarity, since when?" she asks
  133. >"A bit before the musical number" I reply voicing my annoyance
  134. >"So you already know," Norman says with a dashing smile "shouldn't we totally helpt her with her first love?"
  135. >I glare at him and punch his shoulder
  136. >"Sweetie will never be that guy's girlfriend"
  137. >Having said that I finally take my sister away
  138. >With this, I'm sure Sweetie won't go after Norman anymore; although, I started hating him a bit. Not what was originally planned, but I won't let anyone mess with my sister's feelings
  139. >I take a look at her face and see she's smiling
  140. >"Aren't you glad you won't become that dense fool's girlfriend?" I ask
  141. >She looks at me once again "He thinks I'm pretty and he'd be glad if he knew I love him. I just need to be more direct"
  142. >I slap my forehead, this is totally not what I iintended. Why does she like him even after what happened back there?
  143. >Maybe I am the one with the superficial feelings
  144. >Sweeties skips all the way home, my frowning face makes a huge contrast with her happiness
  145. >Defeated for today, I go straight to my room after getting home
  146. >I have a lot to Reflect on
