- Hey,
- I hear the praises of ZFS and see its benefits, but its dominant
- downside is the amount of RAM it requires. This can be a problem on
- constrained systems such as a Raspberry Pi or a low-end Digital Ocean
- droplet with 512MB of RAM.
- I gather that disabling compression and reducing the max size of the
- ARC can help.
- Are there any other tips for getting the most out of such systems?
- Or are there just some systems where you'd deem it best to use UFS
- instead of ZFS?
- Thanks for all your work on BSDNow,
- -Tim
