Beatlas breakup

[Party] Beatrice: *looks to Sullivan and deadpans* "I think we should stop seeing each other"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Why?"

[Party] Beatrice: "if I could over simplify... would say... I cant stand your friends about it"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "How so? It seems I missed something in the past few days."

[Party] Beatrice: *sighs* "last weeks have been being poked at from all directions how youve been sleeping with most of them, or all that want to sleep with you, or how long it will take for me to sleep with you..."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "I see."

[Party] Beatrice: was starting to Consider your friend Nikki a friend of mine, but have realized she doesnt want or need a friend"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "That's an interesting assessment."

[Party] Beatrice: so would just rather go back to being an outside observer.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "So does any of this have to do with -me- personally? Or just people I know?"

[Party] Beatrice: *sighs again* "well.. mostly them.. and Im sorry.. jsut dont think I can keep taking this anymore..."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "I'm sorry to hear that. Very well."

[Party] Beatrice: *looks down* Im tired of trying to fit in.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: *He doesn't show any emotion whatsoever, sitting up perfectly straight, hands folded neatly, speaking in a brisk, polite tone.**

[Party] Beatrice: *sideglances to Sullivan* "guess thats all you have to say about this?"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "It's better that you told me sooner rather than later."

[Party] Beatrice: just trying to be honest... have realized it jsut doesnt work like in the fairy tales.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Yes, well, I have a promiscuous history and sarcastic friends. I can't change either of these things nor will I try to convince you to be happy with them if you're not."

[Party] Beatrice: Id.. still tryi to hag around until being told otherwise.. but yes.. dont know if I can be the focus of their gossip.. Im sorry.. sad part is that.. its not even you.. but the whole thing that revolves around you.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "There are worse reasons I can think of."

[Party] Beatrice: oh..?"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Doesn't matter now, does it? In any case, thank you for being honest with me. Is there anything else?"

[Party] Beatrice: w-well.. wouldve liked to hear what you had to say about it.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: *He sits motionlessly for a moment before letting out a long sigh.*

Beatrice just takes a long gulp of wine

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "I can't change who I am or was. While I'm fine with making a monogamous commitment, I'd rather not be judged for my history. Nor judged based on how other people act."

[Party] Beatrice: I guess thats a fair point..  but what am I expected to do about the situation?"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Nothing. You're not dating them."

[Party] Beatrice: *frowns* "I mean.. every comment towards me since has been about that matter.. tried to go along with the jokes but.. I guess Im still too soft.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Just the same as they mocked Glass, or Khem, or me, or anyone else."

[Party] Beatrice: yes.. maybe Im jsut too soft..."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "If you want the real dark secrets of my cynical soul, I think of myself as a selfish person who expects nothing from anyone else."

[Party] Beatrice: guess that is the point.. I kind of expected.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "So I tend to get myself in the company of other cynical, sarcastic people."

[Party] Beatrice: have realized.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "And we form a sort of solidarity that way."

Beatrice nods

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: *Seems about to say more, but straightens up again and clears his throat.* "Well, there's really nothing for me to say."

[Party] Beatrice: I know Nikki has gone through something hurtful and thats why she reacts like she does... what I mean is that I dont think Im fit to try to prod it out"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "I am not someone who grovels to be accepted. I either am, or I am not."

[Party] Beatrice: *looks to the floor* "I understand"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Hopefully you find someone who you will be happy with." He avoids commenting on Nikki completely.

[Party] Beatrice: I hope so... this place is a madhouse.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Is there anything else?" He folds his hands behind his back in a perfectly courtly posture.

[Party] Beatrice: *looks up to Sullivan, has reddened eyes but just smiles* "Would it be much to ask to be still friends..?"

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: *He hesitates a moment.* "Not too much to ask, no. I have nothing against you."

[Party] Beatrice: *her expression softens, seems to have a hint of embarrassement* "I-I understand.. Im sorry.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: *He glances aside with just a trace of discomfort, but remains stoic and flat-voiced.* "Nothing to apologize for. If something makes you unhappy, don't do it. You're not obligated to me."

[Party] Beatrice: *her eyes focus on nothing in particular* "right.. likewise.."

[Party] Sullivan Atlas: "Have a good night, and Oghma guide you." And he vanishes in an instant.

[Party] Beatrice: may-!" *sighs and drops back on the couch*
