Another day with our increasingly frustrated inventor trying to create the worlds first automatic fluffy washing machine.


All right.  It's May 20, 2017, 10:25 am, test five.  I think everything's been worked out, finally.

Subject five is an adult pegasus male, yellow with a red mane, domesticated, goes by Streak.  Finally a fluffy that listens, he's much more cooperative than my previous few lab assistants.  Slipped right into the Fluff Wash without a care and even says thank you.  If every fluffy were like this little guy I wouldn't be developing a migraine.

"Stweek wuv daddeh."

That's very nice of you Streak.  Now remember, we're going to make your fluff nice and clean so don't be scared, I promise nothing bad can happen.

"Stweek wan smewl pwetty, fwuffy mawes wike pwetty fwuff most aw'!"

Looking for a girlfriend are you?  So fluffies like other fluffies that smell nice and have pretty fluff?

"Aw fwuffies wan smewl pwetty, wan pwetty fwuff.  Get mo' huggies, speciawl huggies an fwiends wisten to pwetty fwuffies."

Is that so?  I knew about the social structure based on size and perceived intelligence, but smell and grooming habits matter as well?

"Gots haf pwetty fwuff and pwetty smewl fo' make fwiends.  Fwuffies wuv pwetty fwuff.  Pwetty fwuff is bestest fwuff!  Pwetty fwuff is bestest fwuffy!"

Well that bodes well for me.  And when we're done here, your fluff will be the prettiest of them all.

"Yay!  Fwuffy wuv daddeh, wan sho aw fwuffies pwettiest fwuff."

Just stand still and don't be scared, you'll see.

"Fwuffy be gud."

What a refreshing change of pace.  Time is 10:28 am, lets start with a medium wash for a good, deep cleaning.  You didn't have any poop dried to your fluff.

"Nu wan poopies on fwuff, mommah awways tewl Stweek poopies is fo' wittabawx.  Nu haf fwiends wif poopie fwuff.

Mommy was right.  Ok Streak, here we go.   *click*

"Okies!  Stweek be- Wawa!  wa....."

Good boy, just stay calm and soon you'll be wowing the ladies with your clean fluff.  Subject is remaining calm and allowing the wash cycle to continue without incident.  How does my sister stand having two around all the time?  Maybe the first bunch were just bad eggs, they can't all be like Plum or Boulder.  Subject is keeping still and quiet, he doesn't react to getting wet like every other fluffy has so far.

Good boy Streak, how are you holding up?

Streak?  Hey, hello?  Hmm.  Subject is non responsive, just staring off into space, eyes wide open and pupils tiny.  Streak?  He's definitly breathing, appears to be shaking too.  My first assumption may have been incorrect, but what is this?  Some extreme fear reaction?  Subject is still unresponsive to sound and touch.  I'm aborting, time is 10:33 am.

OW!  Dammit!  Shit that stings!  Pulling the plug.

When attempting to remove Streak from the Fluff Wash I experienced a strong electrical jolt.  It's unknown why as of yet but perhaps something came loose when that last fluffy tipped the entire system over, I'll do a detailed check of all connections later.  Streak?  You in there?

"Mixyesillspit wuv homa baww gif hoofie wan yassle..."

Subject is stammering incoherently, individual words mixed with gibberish all mashed together.  Streak remains in the exact position he was in while held by the isolation notch, every muscle is tensed and his pupils are still barely visible.  Is this what's called a Reset?  I read something about fluffy owners using a stun gun to reset their fluffies back to factory programming but it's done with just a short jolt.

If he's been taking current since the water hit it's been over three minutes.  Hey Streak, do you understand me?

"miwk wawl babenfo yikkel dai don zwoko katso wufewenf..."

Yeah, ok.  Shit, that was the only nice one left.  He's not dead but what do I do with him?  I still need more fluffies to test with yet I don't want my other fluffies to see what happened to Streak. He doesn't move even when I lay him on his back, this is more like a talking fluffy toy than the real thing.  So Streak, what am I gonna do with you?

"Gabba baww numkies miws kiw nwease"

Note to self, install proper grounding wire.
