First correspondence was sent by Jena David at the email address [email protected] and read as follows

"Hello Dear, my name is Miss Jena David, I am, very happy to contact you, to day and i wish to be in good relationship, with you, and i will be very happy if you can reply me back i will be glad to read from you."

It should be noted that there was no content to the email itself, and that the above statment was written entirely in the subject line. Since it was fairly generic I decided to respond directly.

"Dear, Jena

I regret to inform you that I am happily single and as such not looking for any sort of relationship. The only reason I'm replying is to inform you that if you are spending your time sending out messages to random men's emails in order for the purpose of soliciting a relationship, be that for love or money or any other reason, that you should seriously consider re-evaluating your life choices. On a related note you should consider re-evaluating your grammar, as it is quite poor, and I don't think may guys find elementary school grammar attractive.

Sincerely, Anon"

After I sent this I received another reply from "Jena", except this time it was from Jena David at the email [email protected] with a subject line that read "PLEASE MY DEAR I NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE.‏‏‏‎"

The email reads as follows

"HELLO MY DEAR.

I am more than happy you responded to my request. How was your day? I hope fine and you are in good health. My names are: Miss Jena David. I am 23 years old. I was born on March, 23rd, 1992. In the family of Late Mr. & Mrs Felix David. In Cote D'Ivoire and right now I live in Republic of Senegal under the " Senegal Refugees Camp"

My father was an Ex politician, During the time of President Laurent Gbagbo. He was killed by the rebels during the heat of the war in my country on 2011, The rebels claim that my father was in support of Dr. Alassane Ouattara government, during the political election war crisis which divided my country into two part, In this last elections between President Laurent Gbagbo and His opposition party Dr. Alassane Ouattara.

I escaped death because i was in school when the rebel attack our house and killed everybody. I am the only survival of my late parents,i have no brother nor sister at present. I am suffering in pains in this camp and i really need to have someone by my side to encourage me, i am willing to relocate from this country.

My late father Mr. Felix David, was the industrial Managing director of ( DAVID AND INDUSTRIAL COMPANY LTD ) in Abidjan the economy capital of my Country( Cote D'Ivoire ) and he was also the personal adviser to the former head of state President Laurent Gbagbo.

I don't have any relatives now whom i can go to all my relatives ran away in the middle of the CRISES the only person i have now is Rev. Samuel Godwin , who is in-charge of the ( CHRIST THE SAVIOR MISSION ) here in the camp he has been very nice to me since i came here but i am not living with him rather i am leaving in the women's hostel because the camp have two hostels one for men the other for women.

My dear I want to go back to my studies because i only attended my first year before the tragedy incident that lead to my being in this situation now took place.

Please listen to this ( please it's a secret, even no one knows about it except the Reverend that knows about it ) i have my late father's Last Written Will and the Death Certificate here with me which i will send to you latter, because when he was alive he deposited some amount of money in one of the leading bank in Europe which he used my name as the next of kin, the amount in question is $6.5 (Six Million Five hundred Thousand US Dollars).

So i will like you to help me transfer this money to your account and from it you can send some money for me to get my traveling documents and air ticket to come over to meet with you. I kept this secret to people in the camp here the only person that knows about it is the Reverend because he is like a father to me. So in the light of above i will like you to keep it to  yourself and don't tell it to anyone for i am afraid of loosing my life and the money if people gets to know about it.

Remember i am giving you all this information due to the trust i deposed on you. I like honest and understanding Person, truthful and some one with vision, hardworking and GOD fearing Person. How ever, i will give you the Reverend phone number in my next mail which you will use to contact me any time you like. like i said i have a lot to tell you. Attached here is my pictures. I will equally like to see yours too. Have a nice day and think about me.

I just googled a couple things and found that this is a very standard format, with maybe one or two things changed.

I should also add just to showcase how little the people who send these letters actually care about accuracy, that I received this letter on June 6th of 2016.

Go on, give it a read, you'll see why I find that funny if you do.
