[05:05.12] <TenMihara|GM> -Part 3: In the Crowd's Nest Session 6-
[05:06.47] <TenMihara|GM> Our Pathfinders find themselves deep in the heart of enemy territory. After descending another level of the Crow, they found themselves in a much more open area with a number of rooms. Heading North from there, they found more of the Tower Girls, as well as a couple pet rats.
[05:07.56] <TenMihara|GM> While engaging the Tower Girls and their pets, the noise of the fight drew out the Sczarni group's self styled 'Pack Mistress', a wererat who oversaw the care of their trained donkey rats. While she delivered a nasty blow to Runa, she was handily dispatched by Raised-By-Orcs.
[05:08.25] <TenMihara|GM> The remaining Tower Girls and the rats were dealt with, although two remain alive, one of whom Ewan has some words for...
[05:08.29] <TenMihara|GM> *****Session Begins*****
[05:13.46] * Ewan frowns at the tower girl, knife brandished as he kneels in front of her. "We can do this two ways. First way, the lady with the big knife guts you and we're on our way... Or, you spill everything and possibly walk out with your head still on your shoulders."
[05:16.47] <TenMihara|GM> She looks at the body of Karisa, then back to Ewan. "Well, I don't know that I trust you not to kill me if I say anything, and you probably don't trust me to just be on my merry way if you don't, so where does that leave us? You killed the Pack Mistress, so I know I don't stand a chance, but what's in it for me to squeal?"
[05:17.45] * Raised-By-Orcs hums. "I don't kill you?" She asks sarcastically
[05:18.37] * Alette scoffs "She just said there's no guarentee you won't when she's finished. Pay attention."
[05:20.51] * Ewan scratches his chin. "I'm a reasonable man, and like to think I keep my word. How about an alternative employer?" he asks. "I can't imagine your current one is very good anyway, or will be very happy with you."
[05:21.18] <TenMihara|GM> She nods slowly. "I'm listening."
[05:23.38] * Runa stands by listening curiously to all this. She wasn't inclined to murder the captured woman. SO alternatives were always good.
[05:26.12] * Ewan smiles, slowly putting his dagger away. "Well, I'm sure Sheila Heidmarch could use more eyes, and could find a use for someone with your skills. Maybe if she's feeling nice, she'll overlook your employment history."
[05:28.04] <TenMihara|GM> The woman thinks a moment. "The Pathfinder lady? She's high class, and runs a guild of adventurers..." she looks the group over. "She the one who sent you?"
[05:29.31] * Ewan nods. "That slides nicely into why we're here. Does... Ayala, right. Does Ayala happen to have anything that looks like this?" he asks, reaching into his shirt to pull out the Shard of Pride.
[05:30.23] <TenMihara|GM> She blinks in surprise, "That- that's the thing Natalya made off with ain't it? How'd you get it?" The sight of it seems to make her nervous, as though she doesn't know what even being near it might do
[05:30.54] * Runa looks down at the woman. "We took it when we defeated her as she rambled about her greatness. How else would we have acquired it?" She frowned slightly at the question.
[05:31.53] <TenMihara|GM> The woman's nervousness seems to dim at the notion that the person carrying it could be defeated and it could be taken from them. "No, she ain't got anything else like that. That's why she was so pissed Natalya bolted with it. Seems like it's one of a kind."
[05:33.44] * Ewan waves his hand. "A long string of events, but essentially that. Irrelevent, though. We didn't necessarily come here to bust her lair, we came here because we're looking for something, and Ayala might have been as well. If she's been acting strangely, it's be nice of you to let us know."
[05:34.54] <TenMihara|GM> She shakes her head, "Not beyond wanting to get back at Natalya for swiping it. She was worried though, afraid of it. When Skiloni didn't come back, we all thought Natalya had done her in."
[05:35.52] * Runa shakes her head. "No, she tried to do us in instead and we were forced to deal with her. I'm afraid she won't be coming back, ever."
[05:36.37] <TenMihara|GM> She adds, "The only thing we all came here for was the treasure. At first anyways. Ayala's got nothing on her mind now but revenge against Natalya. Even if you killed her, she's still gonna want that thing back, whatever it is."
[05:37.33] <TenMihara|GM> *Even if you killed Nat
[05:39.37] * Ewan chuckles. "It was almost the opposite, actually. Close call. If she's scared of the shard though, that's good. She should be, because it just so happens to be ours." he says, putting the shard back where he kept it. "Is that everything, then?"
[05:40.04] <TenMihara|GM> She shrugs, "What else did you wanna know?"
[05:43.22] * Ewan looks around the group, then to the tower girl. "How many guards does Ayala usually have? I'd rather we avoid more unnecessary casualties, if we can."
[05:44.46] <TenMihara|GM> She nods, "There's three more girls in the common hall up ahead, but Ayala's only got two rats down in her room right now I think."
[05:46.46] * Ewan looks to Dilys, then to the tower girl, a plan forming. "And what are the odds the girls would surrender peacefully?"
[05:48.03] <TenMihara|GM> She shrugs, "Not much unless you had them down and disarmed like you did me. They'd be more likely to head deeper to try and team up with Ayala."
[05:51.29] * Ewan hangs his head slightly as a crack forms in his idea. "I'll assume using you as a hostage wouldn't get them to surrender. I don't think any of us trust you enough to lead them away or convince them otherwise." he says, rubbing his chin and standing up. "Why can't things ever be simple..."
[05:54.16] * Runa raises an eyebrow at Ewan's comment, "Because if things were simple we'd be out of work." She turns to head back in the direction of the other room.
[05:54.47] <TenMihara|GM> The woman stands up slowly, keeping her eyes on Raised-By-Orcs. "So... can I bail?"
[05:55.18] * Raised-By-Orcs hums, raising her eyebrow at the woman. "Well, can you?" She snarks.
[05:56.20] * Alette groans. "Just go."
[05:56.29] * Ewan sighs. "Drop your weapons, and then run. If she sees you again in here..." he says, gesturing at Taised-By-Orcs. "... I won't be able to bail you ."
[05:57.09] <TenMihara|GM> She sighs and tosses down her hand crossbow and shortsword, then begins to walk away, watching them as she goes, not turning her back to them. She gets to the corner, then books it
[06:01.24] * Ewan sighs, then looks to the rest of the group. "Well, let's just assume for a moment that this isn't going to come back to bite us in the ass later. Do we want to risk going deeper?"
[06:04.27] * Runa frowns. "It might be better to wait until tomorrow. However, by then their leader will definitely know something has happened and have had ample opportunity to reinforce her defenses. Right now relative surprise is on our side, so it may be best to press on before things become even harder."
[06:05.58] <Alette> "Wether or not it does something else will no doubt be ready and eager to bite us."
[06:07.57] <TenMihara|GM> Alette, thanks to Kii, would have noticed that there was only one way in or out of the room to the south that she had her bat scout.
[06:08.17] <TenMihara|GM> Additionally, there are unexplored rooms to the east of the landing that they first touched down on this floor.
[06:09.05] * Ewan taps his forehead. "Well, I have a few restorative potions, should we wish to press on. If we get into another bout like that though, we might be cutting it close."
[06:09.18] * Alette nods to the door. "I should point out though that this door is one way only. And there's more rooms elsewhere we haven't explored, one appeared to be a dining room."
[06:21.20] * Runa shakes her head. "I have no strong opinion in either direction beyond generally feeling that the less time we give her the better off we are."
[06:23.40] * Ewan nods, frowning. "The sooner we clear the place, the better... We might be able to talk the three out of fighting." he says, frowning. Meanwhile Dilys edges towards the entrance of the southern hall, listening carefully.
[06:26.19] <TenMihara|GM> As Dilys follows the south hallway, she spots the door on the western side of the hall, from which she can hear the sounds of moderate mirth
[06:33.10] * Ewan looks around the group. "Well, before we do anything... he says, reaching into a pouch to pull out two potions of cure light wounds. He hands one to Runa, and one to Raised-By-Orcs. "Take it now, or save it for later, your choice."
[06:33.38] * Raised-By-Orcs shrugs, slugging it down before wrinkling her nose. "This is the worst alcohol I've ever tasted." she grunts.
[06:36.38] <Alette> "I have some of my own, I would advise against the rest of you drinking them though."
[06:36.46] * Ewan shakes his head. "It's for your wounds. I'd prefer you sober until we're all back in one piece."
[06:37.29] * Runa takes one of the potions and downs it as well. "Thank you."
[06:37.39] * Raised-By-Orcs rolls her eyes. "Alcohol helps the mind." She mutters.
[06:44.25] * Runa draws her crossbow. "Best we move fast."
[06:47.17] * Ewan nods, drawing his bow again. "Indeed, all at once would be best. We might be able to get them to surrender if we show superior numbers."
[06:49.53] * Raised-By-Orcs grins, following after them
[06:49.56] <TenMihara|GM> Two tables of planks and trestles have been set up in here, and a large alcove holds the ashes and soot stains of many recent fires, along with a stone statue of a beautiful woman wielding a ranseur. A hooded lantern burns atop one of the tables.
[06:50.44] <TenMihara|GM> At one of the tables are the three Tower Girls playing some kind of card game and apparently drinking some kind of liquor. As they are intruded upon, they bolt up from the table, reaching for their weapons.
[06:57.37] * Ewan holds his bow up, and attempting to put on a voice of authority. "Drop your weapons and you won't be harmed!" he yells, praying silently that that his gambit works.
[06:58.44] <TenMihara|GM> The trio of girls draw out their hand crossbows and start shouting as though to get the attention of backup.
[06:59.51] <TenMihara|GM> Alette steps forward and gives one of the Tower Girls the evil eye, her hex making the woman's movement's sluggish and branding her an easier target
[07:01.29] * Runa steps up to the entrance of the room, firing at the tower girl whom Alette had just hexed. She wasn't in the mood for negotiations right now.
[07:01.57] <TenMihara|GM> Runa pegs her in the shoulder, making her gasp and grunt in pain.
[07:02.18] <TenMihara|GM> The three of them return fire and continue shouting, aiming for Runa, Alette, and Ewan respectively
[07:03.31] <TenMihara|GM> The Hexed woman completely and embarassingly misses Alette.
[07:04.57] <TenMihara|GM> Ewan feels a bolt graze his face painfully in response.
[07:05.37] <TenMihara|GM> Runa feels the bolt impact her, but it's brought up short by her armor, leaving her unharmed
[07:05.59] * Ewan lets loose an arrow in response. "I warned you!" he calls as he fires.
[07:06.47] <TenMihara|GM> Distracted by the gash on his face, Ewan misses rather widely
[07:08.35] <Ewan> Dilys rushes towards the offending tower girl, spear at the ready as she attempts to take a stab at her!
[07:09.50] <TenMihara|GM> Dilys comes up short with her thrust
[07:10.44] * Raised-By-Orcs grins, breaking into a dead sprint and charging at one of the towergirls, swinging her sword!
[07:13.47] <TenMihara|GM> Raised-By-Orcs gorily bifurcates her target, emphasizing Ewan's warning far more effectively than he had
[07:14.37] <TenMihara|GM> Alette puts her hex to work on the other Tower Girl, hampering her ability to evade attacks like the other.
[07:15.51] * Runa quickly reloads her crossbow and looses another quarrel as Raised-By-Orcs does what she does best.
[07:16.33] <TenMihara|GM> Runa lands another hit on her previous target, badly wounding her, leaving her barely able to stand
[07:17.31] <TenMihara|GM> The uninjured Tower Girl draws her shortsword and drops her crossbow, moving to flank the Shoanti woman while her partner does the same, both clearly fearing for their lives as they attempt to put her down
[07:21.23] <TenMihara|GM> Raised-By-Orcs is grievously wounded as one of the Tower Girls drives her blade into the woman's back, her partner following it up with a stab in the gut.
[07:23.30] * Ewan hisses in frustration, knocking another arrow and silently firing off at Runa's target.
[07:23.55] <TenMihara|GM> Trying to avoid hitting RBO causes Ewan to aim wide, leading to a missed shot
[07:24.31] <Ewan> Dilys comes up behind the same girl and attempts to drive her spear into her back!
[07:25.45] <TenMihara|GM> Dilys drives her spear into the woman's leg, the pain flooring her as she starts to bleed out.
[07:27.11] <TenMihara|GM> The pain of her injuries causes Raised-By-Orcs to swing too high over the nimble Tower Girl.
[07:27.57] * Alette continues her glaring.
[07:29.27] <TenMihara|GM> The woman's grip on her weapon wavers.
[07:32.53] * Runa continues her onslaught on the injured tower girl. She was confident RBO could handle herself for a short time, and better to take one of them out than have two injured.
[07:34.05] <TenMihara|GM> She yelps in pain as the bolt catches her hard in the leg. Seeing no option for retreat and her two companions downed, she desperately stabs at the Shoanti woman with her blade
[07:35.01] <TenMihara|GM> Her desperate flailing barely manages to bruise the thick-skinned SHoanti woman
[07:36.57] * Ewan knocks another arrow, biting his lip as he fires at the remaining tower girl. "I warned you!"
[07:38.26] <Ewan> Dilys ducks down behind the remaining tower girl, attempting to repeat her last success.
[07:39.50] <TenMihara|GM> Dilys finds herself very successful as she drives her spear through one of the injured woman's kidneys, flooring her immediately
[07:44.05] <Ewan> Dilys pulls her spear back, taking a moment to make sure the place was clear... Before leaning down to inspect the woman she had just stabbed.
[07:44.27] * Alette turns away from the finished fight and decides to examine the statue.
[07:46.10] <Alette> "We seem to be in the right spot. This is the runelord of wrath, Alaznist."
[07:46.39] * Ewan sighs, glancing at the statue as he walks over to check on Raised-By-Orcs and Dilys... And to check the downed tower girls.
[07:49.32] <TenMihara|GM> one of them managed to stabilize, but the other that Dilys hamstrung is bleeding profusely still.
[07:52.20] * Raised-By-Orcs stabs the hamstrung tower girl in the belly, grinning viciously
[07:53.24] <TenMihara|GM> The girl is assuredly dead before Raised-By-Orcs can even pull her sword out
[07:53.56] * Raised-By-Orcs stabs her another couple times as well, getting back at her for the fact that she'd stabbed the Shoanti woman
[07:54.26] <Ewan> Dilys jumps back in surprise, clutching her spear tightly. She quickly moves around to the other tower girl, dragging her unconscious form a little ways, before leaning down to look at her.
[07:54.42] <TenMihara|GM> She's badly hurt, but not in immediate danger of death
[07:59.01] * Runa steps up and looks at the statue with a frown. "As I expected, unfortunately. Given their description it should be no surprise she holds the Shard of Wrath. And is likely to make her an even more vicious opponent than normal."
[07:59.14] <TenMihara|GM> Raised-By-Orcs, in spite of her almost supernatural toughness, is also badly wounded at present.
[07:59.37] * Raised-By-Orcs clutches her chest, shaking her head before wiping some of the blood on her hand off on the statue, pulling a potion out and chugging it down
[08:02.31] * Raised-By-Orcs shakes her head, tossing that potion away before pulling out and downing another one.
[08:03.07] <Alette> "Perhaps we should check if any of these girls..." she kicked a nearby corpse "...has some medical supplies, otherwise we could search around."
[08:04.36] <TenMihara|GM> None of the girls seem to be in posession of anything magical, equipment, liquid, or otherwise.
[08:05.02] * Ewan steps over to Raised-By-Orcs to check on her. Dilys frowns, gripping her spear and glancing about the room, before beginning to rummage through the unconscious tower girl's pockets.
[08:06.14] <TenMihara|GM> The trio seems to have the same standard issue buglary gear and weapons as the rest of their companions
[08:15.04] * Alette flicks her hair, causing the bat nestled in there to fly off.
[08:16.05] <TenMihara|GM> Flying to the South, Kii finds an angled hallway leading east and then south from the corner, until at the end of it the bat finds a flight of stairs leading downwards.
[08:17.18] * Ewan looks to Dilys and nods, the homunculus huffing slightly and leaning down to finish the tower girl. Why she had to lean so close to her neck is anybody's guess.
[08:18.45] <TenMihara|GM> The girl grunts, then goes limp
[08:20.24] * Runa frowns. "We have one more direction to search before we head deeper. We should check that before looking for the stairs."
[08:20.49] * Alette guides the bat to unexplored direction, stairs can wait.
[08:21.13] <TenMihara|GM> The eastern hallway leads to a 30ft square room with a door in the southeast corner.
[08:22.16] * Alette looks thoughtful. "That room seems quiet, maybe we should search it for something of use, or head on to cut off the head of this group."
[08:22.47] <Ewan> Dilys stands up, taking her spear and wiping her sleeve against her face, and moves to go scout the southern hall.
[08:23.16] <TenMihara|GM> Heading down the southern hallway Dilys travels east, then southeast, then south, before coming to the top of a staircase uneventfully.
[08:23.26] * Runa nods. "It might be best to get Raised By Orcs some form of healing first however. I do not think she'll wish to be killed fighting giant rats."
[08:24.06] * Raised-By-Orcs rolls her eyes, then her shoulders
[08:24.44] * Alette raises an eyebrow then looks at the girl. "That's your name? Really?"
[08:26.38] * Ewan digs around his bag. "I have one more left... And an emergency extract." he says, glancing at RBO. "She did down a few already, though."
[08:27.13] * Raised-By-Orcs looks at Alette. "You're named after a color." She snarks back.
[08:30.31] <Alette> "Alette is not a colour."
[08:31.54] <TenMihara|GM> The stairs Dilys finds descend deeper into the Piling.
[08:33.33] * Ewan shakes his head, stepping away to stare blankly at the wall with a frown. Dilys, frowns as she slowly descends the stairs, listening carefully as she attempts to make as little noise as possible.
[08:34.08] <Alette> The bat follows.
[08:34.32] <TenMihara|GM> The stairs go down about forty feet, to another hallway leading to the west. At the end of that hallway is another door facing north.
[08:38.37] * Alette begins to head to the stairs. "The little ones are wandering."
[08:39.21] <Ewan> Dilys tiptoes up to the door, leaning close to it and listening carefully.
[08:39.47] <TenMihara|GM> Dilys doesn't hear anything on the other side
[08:42.18] * Runa follows after Alette. "Best be careful. We approach the proper lair of the beast."
[08:42.56] <TenMihara|GM> Following the stairs after Dilys, the rest of the party eventually comes to the same hallway Dilys followed.
[08:44.24] * Ewan steps into the hall, frowning. "It's too quiet..." he grumbles.
[08:46.16] * Alette lets the bat once again rest on her head. "Money is on either ambush or the fact we got in so quietly."
[08:48.18] <TenMihara|GM> The group comes to the end of the hallway and finds Dilys waiting at the door for them
[08:50.28] <Ewan> Dilys nods, and gestures at the door. Ewan looks at the rest of the group. "Well, let's go...?"
[08:53.16] <Alette> "After you."
[08:56.21] * Ewan motions to Dilys, who clutches her spear tightly as she shoves the door open and steps inside with her weapon raised.
[08:57.42] <TenMihara|GM> A massive pair of double doors dominates the western end of this spearhead shaped chamber. These doors are made of a silvery metal decorated with images of burning eyes that look inwards towards two sets of runes carved into the face of each door.
[08:58.54] <TenMihara|GM> The wall bears the remains of complex mosaics that once covered much of them, but which has crumbled and collapsed into heaps of colored tiles and debris around the edges of the room
[09:00.41] <TenMihara|GM> Aside from a quartet of pillars amidst the room, there doesn't appear to be anyone or anything here.
[09:02.21] <TenMihara|GM> At the east end of the room are two doors leading to the next room.
[09:03.39] * Ewan steps into the room after Dilys, looking around and looking at the various inscriptions. "What could this be..." he wonders.
[09:05.35] <TenMihara|GM> Inspecting the door, Ewan sees a number of ancient Thassilonian runes, and the silvery metal is, at a glance, not actually silver. From the looks of it, they haven't been opened in a long time
[09:06.39] * Alette puts a hand on the elf's shoulder. "Perhaps we should save the deeper exploration until after we deal with the 'rat queen'."
[09:06.51] * Runa pauses to look at the massive door. "Impressive." It was rare to see such careful construction after all, even rarer to see it in something so old.
[09:11.15] * Ewan turns, nodding slowly. "Right, right. I just got a little excited... Stuff like this? Seeing it with my own eyes is something else." he says, turning to look at the other side of the room. "I'll have plenty of time to examine the skymetal in the doors. Once Ayala is dealt with."
[09:11.17] * Raised-By-Orcs scratches her nose. "It's a door." She grunts.
[09:11.28] <Raised-By-Orcs> "What's so exciting about a /door/?"
[09:17.09] * Runa points out, "It is a very old door. And very well made. Those are exciting things for some people."
[09:17.49] <Raised-By-Orcs> "They must not be very exciting people if that gets them excited."
[09:19.36] * Ewan snorts. "It's history, old construction, old magic, and plenty of other reasons." he says, motioning to Dilys to go to the other side. "Regardless, let's keep searching for the rat, I have an exciting time ahead once the area's clear."
[09:20.24] <TenMihara|GM> The doors to the east are much more mundane, and are not as daunting or impenetrable as the impressive silver door to the west.
[09:23.03] * Alette gives a look to the barbarian and geatures to the door. "Well go on then. You go do what you find exciting so you can blow your earnings in a tavern."
[09:23.51] * Raised-By-Orcs shoots a dirty look at the pale woman. "I prefer the brothel." She rolls her eyes before making to violently enter the doorway
[09:24.27] <Ewan> Dilys motions to the rest of the group, gripping the handle and throwing the door open.
[09:25.37] <TenMihara|GM> The doorway is unlocked and is easily kicked open by the barbarian. Several pieces of furniture decorate this room, the modern furnishings clashing with the ancient carvings of Thassilonian wizards crafting deformed monsters from dead bodies decorating the walls. Luxurious crimson Varisian drapes have been pinned up in an archway to the southeast
[09:26.40] * Runa stays close with the others to me sure she was ready for what was coming.
[09:27.55] <TenMihara|GM> The Doors flying open startles a pair of donkey rats inside the room who begin to shriek. Their noise causes a woman sitting at a desk to bolt up and turn around to spot the intrusion. She is a humanoid rat in studded leather armor. In her hands (or perhaps paws) she wields an ornate scarf with three wicked hooked blades on either end
[09:31.20] <TenMihara|GM> Taking advantage of her sudden entrance, Raised-By-Orcs has time to butcher one of the big, loud rats before the Were-rat can join the fight.
[09:35.21] * Runa draws her crossbow quickly, loading a silver crossbow bolt into it and loosing it at the rat-woman. "Dilys! Try and clear a path!"
[09:36.19] <TenMihara|GM> The rat woman shrieks as the bold actually manages to penetrate her lycanthropic hide. She looks infuriated.
[09:37.10] <TenMihara|GM> She snarls and steps up, lashing out at Raised-By-Orcs, whipping her scarf around with surprising finesse and lashing out from a remarkable range.
[09:40.44] <TenMihara|GM> Raised-By-Orcs feels the hooked blades dig into her skin and gouge her stomach painfully, however her fortitude is enough to keep the poison on those blades from taking hold
[09:42.51] <Ewan> Dilys grips her spear, frowning and rushing at the remaining donkey rat, stabbing at the beast.
[09:44.11] <TenMihara|GM> The Rat staggers back as Dilys drives her spear into its neck. It wobbles a bit, then falls onto its side.
[09:46.55] * Raised-By-Orcs howls in fury as the hooks dig into her, before rushing forward and trying to chop the rat into bits!
[09:48.51] <TenMihara|GM> While her supernatural lycanthropic hide greatly diminishes the blow, she is still dealt a nasty injury by the Barbaric woman. She grunts in pain, clearly not having felt hurts this bad in a long time.
[09:54.39] * Ewan runs into the room, and attempts to chuck something, anything, at the wererat to distract her for RBO.
[09:57.20] * Alette made sure she was far enough to avoid a swing from the rats ridiculous weapon, fixing her glare onto her as the were rats rage began to twist into fear.
[09:59.55] <TenMihara|GM> The Were-rat looks very concerned
[10:01.28] * Runa continues to put silver crossbow bolts into the were-rat.
[10:03.16] <TenMihara|GM> The she-rat shrieks in pain and frustration as she is hit again by a bolt that cuts right through her hide.
[10:04.23] <TenMihara|GM> She takes a quick hop back from the raging Shoanti and lashes out again with her Scarf, looking urgently at the other door out of the room.
[10:07.24] <Ewan> Dilys flies to the other side, positioning herself between the she-rat and the door, baring her teeth at her.
[10:11.36] * Raised-By-Orcs swings her sword once more, howling for blood!

[10:15.20] * Alette approaches, seeing the were rat wasn't getting back up. Placing the sword she'd picked up against her neck. "Well, shall we finish it?"
[10:16.47] <TenMihara|GM> Without her enhanced Strength, Raised-By-Orcs might think to use the silver dagger to finish the job instead
[10:17.16] * Runa breathes a sigh of relief as the wererat woman went down. "It would be best to be quick. We should gather what we've found so far and return to our employer. Doubtless they will want to hear about what had happened here. And there is evidence of much more to be found here past that door. Perhaps she will have insight into how to get past them."
[10:17.21] * Raised-By-Orcs grunts, drawing that dagger out and handing it to Alette
[10:18.29] * Alette simply drops the sword and takes the dagger, turning the were rat onto her back and pulling the armour aside so she could cut out the creatures heart.
[10:21.31] * Ewan looks around, sighing. "Well, that's that then." he says, scratching his head as he walks around the room.

[10:30.42] * Runa frowns. That was a little worrying. She purused the journal for anything useful before closing it up and checking another.
[10:32.27] <TenMihara|GM> Aside from some fairly detailed accounts of their criminal activities, the notes don't seem to have any further information of use. Although apparently she left Riddleport for Magnimar when another member of that were-rat family edged her out as a Crimelord.
[10:34.21] <TenMihara|GM> In addition to her rather magnificent bladed scarf, Ayala also has a quality shortbow, 2 tanglefoot bags, 20 arrows, a climber's kit, grappling hook with silk rope, a second story harness, and a set of quality thieves tools.
[10:35.23] <TenMihara|GM> Ewan estimates the total value of the collected artifacts on the table to be worth about 900 gold pieces.
