Subject: 	OK, So...


I can't sleep, so I'm actually sitting in bed working on work related stuff,
following up on email because obviously Guiness doesn't mind that the light
is on. Of course, I say this, but he has his head buried in your pillows,
so perhaps he does. Gosh, that dog is you.



I was researching Dan Lundgren because I am such the Washington insider now.
Do you know that there is a committee on gov't printing? What a snoozer
that must be. The first couple of years on the hill must be incredibly
boring, talking about topics such as regulations for gov't printing. I
thought perhaps it had to do with printing money, nope, not so. So, back to
being the Washington insider, did you know Doug Maughan does not have any
contacts in congress on the homeland security committee? He was totally
psyched I met Dan, because his subcommittee earmarks (yeap got the lingo
down) funds for science and technology. I told Doug that when we meet Dan's
peeps, we'd bring him along. Who says I have to pay for a lobbyist. I
think it could be my next career.



Of course, I would totally approach it differently. You know how you get
really irritated because I have lived everywhere. I figure if I stick with
you, I will have set up every type of business in various states. I can use
this to gain leverage when stalking these people to lunches or at bars. You
should have seen the "blatant" way I laid out for Dan's director the
synergies. I even let him feel like he helped start us (since he funded
S&T) Of course, I threw in the catching pedophiles and murderers too.



Today I was so of the mind we should sell the company. 8 contracts to
review, can't get what I want from people, I just wanted to scream. This
weekend I get to do the same. Of course, it seems like that is every
weekend. We need to do more fun stuff. People around us do. They have
their own businesses, they go on trips, they go for weekends. I cannot wait
to have Carmel back. We are totally going down there on weekends whether
Kelsey wants to or not. I've already lined up Andrea's sister to stay with
her and Tina (Andrea's mom) said Kelsey could stay at their house anytime.



I miss you, when are you coming home??? I feel like I'm going through
withdrawal, I haven't talked to you in like 3 days. Wow, it's a record. Of
course, you text me or send the "blah" emails. What's up with that? You
are so much more engaging than that. I know you don't always feel like it
but you are. Where is my power twin? I have no one to laugh with and to
think about the exact same thoughts. And of course, I can't sleep and you
are like states away.



Did you know you are my hero? You are so amazing in so many ways. First,
you are incredibly smart. Not only book smart, but also intuitive smart. I
am constantly amazed by you and of course jealous. Your ability to
synthesize something is so rare. Then you have the ability to communicate
it. You are also insightful into people in a totally different way than I
am. What is amazing to me is we are two sides of a coin. I probably tend
to be more positive and you more negative on people/society but the trend is
definitely in your favor. Second, you are a great support system for
Kelsey. She was telling me in the car how it's so much easier to talk to
you about things she can't talk to her dad or me about. I really appreciate
that. You managed to fit into our lives in a fairly easy manner, not an
easy thing to do. The world is littered with the horror stories of the mean
step parent. Disney's got that down pat. You are a great partner to me. I
love that you need to have foam in your coffee and one ice cube. I love
that you are creative in the morning. I love your spiky bed head hair. I
think it's so cute you are getting into clothing. I had so much fun that
day. I love that you love the dogs and you made Guiness your fishing buddy.
(he loves it to, he told me) I love that Carmel is our place and you like
to just hang out and talk on the beach. I love when you wear your fuzzy
socks with your jammies. I love kissing you (we keep saying we should do
that more, we should, make it a rule) I love the way you smell. I love that
you tell me you are going to sleep in then don't. I love that you have no
idea what bottle of wine is expensive or not. I love that you let me listen
to my songs on your iPad and I even have radio stations. I love that you
say you won't set up the internet and such, but you do. I love that you
have tons of tools you never use but think you will. I think it's totally
amazing you tell me when you feel hurt by things like Jamie
training/posts/copying you. That's so real. I like that part of you.



I guess I just love you.
