  1. Job: Wild Life
  2.
  3. AISE needs to hire runners to find out whether Ares is secretly smuggling weaponry into non extraterritorial zones. As Australia has a ban on most fire arms, any weapon dealing done outside of the Australian government’s view is considered highly dangerous and illegal.
  4.
  5. AISE can’t actively investigate Ares with immediately losing all evidence to the digital shredders when the feds eventually come knocking. Ergo, shadowrunners, and in particular runners from Seattle who go for a cheaper price and are outsiders to the scene.
  6.
  7. The runners need to find evidence of illegal activities going on behind the scenes, so the government can officially step in and handle it.
  8. ----------
  9.
  10. Legwork:
  11. Runners will be flown into Australia by the Johnson, however any weaponry they want to bring into the country will be up to them.
  12. The runners probably won’t have much access to contacts in a different country, unless they have a contact with Connection 5-6.
  13. To make up for this, I will give them an extra improve RP scene to help them flesh out any information that the runners might want to find out (Corporate bar, Nightclub, etc).
  14. The matrix will have a lot of information on the front facing part of Ares Australia, a lot of Cars are produced by them in Aus, they’re also a lot smaller here than in the UCAS.
  15. Physical recon will be encouraged of the site, it’s your classic corporate tower with everything you’d expect in it.
  16. ----------
  17.
  18. Run:
  19. Tim White and Kiara Newton are two Ares marketing executives who have been handling an under the table deal with a bikie gang. Ares supply them with guns, the Bikies make the brass look bad and Ares gets to petition the Australian government to hire KE as police.
  20. They’re currently going to be celebrating a merger with Plexicorp Ltd, which will corporate jargon the corporate jargon, dividends and such. End result is that they’re both getting a big promotion and bonus at the end of the month and will be living large.
  21. There are a few scenes that can be used to incorporate these two into the run:
  22.
  23. • Big game hunting in the outback, with an escort of bikies or personal security.
  24.
  25. • After work party in the office, with a corporate excess , drugs and plentiful champagne
  26.
  27. • At work during office hours, where they are stereotypical drekhead bosses with personality issues and narcissistic
  28. If either of them are extracted, they can be blackmailed, tortured or mindcontrolled into giving up information of what they have been doing. However, the runners need to get more than just their testimony: they need the corporate records, which are being held in the Ares tower.
  29. The employee of choice can give them access codes to the building’s lift to the data housing centre. The data is in one of the banks, and will need to be extracted. Upon hacking the data, the runners (if there is some time left in the run) may encounter some paracritters being used for defence.
  30. Upon finishing, Johnson will take the data from them and pay them very well.
  31. ----------
  32.
  33. Rewards:
  34. Finish all run objectives: 12,000 nuyen each 4 karma
  35. Do not get the corporate record, only the testimony: 4000 nuyen, 3 karma
  36. If they exceptionally blow the Johnson away somehow, they can get an AISE contact, however they are useless outside of Australia. 4/1 contact in Aus, 1/1 in UCAS. Up to TD if that’s fine or not
  37. ----------
  38.
  39. Fallout:
  40.
  41. AISE will crackdown on Ares Aus, leading to some corporate slaps on the wrist but nothing much else.
  42. Some random corporates may get fired
  43. ----------
  44.
  45. Game Statistics:
  46.
  47. Expected time: 3-5 Hours
  48.
  49. Expected runners: 4 Misc
  50.
  51. Meta impact: Almost 0
  52.
  53. Opposition: Medium to High, depending on how insane the firefights get.
  54.
  55. Intent: A pink Mohawk run with classic cyberpunk corporate satire in Australia.
