- Position : Site Reliability Engineer
- Location : Columbia, MD
- Duration : Full Time / Permanent
- Roles & Responsibilities :
- The primary responsibilities of the XOC include but are not limited to:
- Monitor the Federally Facilitated Exchange (FFE) / Federally-Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) / Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) systems / Data Services Hub (DSH) and several other supporting systems:
- Monitor computing resources within the Terremark environment;
- Alert system owners of degraded system status; and
- Alert system owners, stakeholders and management of production Severity 1 incidents
- Areas Monitored include:
- Data Center Network
- Infrastructure Bandwidth
- Server / Infrastructure
- Applications within the Terremark environment
- Agent based Monitoring
- Production Batch Processing
- Event(s) & Alert(s) Escalation
- Notify internal stakeholders of Severity 1 incidents received from Baltimore Data Center (BDC) that affect the Marketplace.
- Manage incident identification, notifications, ticket generation, recording, classification, investigation and the most complex diagnoses.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, escalation and driving service restoration activities helping ensure all duties from a technical and non-technical perspective are completed in a consistent and timely manner.
- Manage production Severity 1 incidents to closure.
- Manage the CMS Consumer Information and Insurance Systems Group (CIISG) Exchange Operations Center (EOC) email inbox.
- Authorize restart of Marketplace system processes as needed to keep resolve productions performance issues.
- Help feed and generate reporting (Trend analysis, etc.) by populating key metrics.
- Mine data and recommend actions.
- Submit progress reports to XOC Director and Deputy XOC Director.
- Assist with Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Coordination, etc.
- Running, populating, delivering daily reports.
- Technical Skills/Tools: XOC Site Reliability Engineer needs to possess above-average technical skills to support Marketplace systems. Technical skills include.

- IT Process Management (ITSM / ITIL)
- Microsoft Office
- Site Reliability Engineer needs to have a working understanding of the following tools.
