  1. 01[17:23] <Trevor> Date: February ... Umm... What day is this supposed to be? 'cause seriously, how long does it even take for Eevee eggs to hatch, anyways? Anyways, Trevor managed to get a hold of Maus some time after the two of them were granted freedom from the hospital, and is bringing him to God only knows where; any attempt Maus would've made thus far at inquiring about where or why was met only with being told to wait until they got there, or that it's a surprise... Something to that effect.
  2. [17:25] <~Maus_Riverbed> Maus has been roped into ADVENTURE! like normal. Even though he's been released from the hospital, his arm is still wrapped in bandages and being checked on every once in a while. Otherwise, he seems about as fine as ever, which is to say slightly quiet and jumpy.
  3. 01[17:29] <Trevor> Trevor looks back at Maus as he wheels his cart along, the Quilava contained within having simply dozed off. "My apologies about this walk taking so long, Maus, but it shouldn't be much longer before we arrive." He leads the boy around the corner, and the two are now just a block or two away from the entrance of the now visible Pokemon Center.

  6. [17:32] <~Maus_Riverbed> "It's not like a walk bothers me," Maus shrugs, and neither of his Pokemon seem bothered either; Rolane is trotting along beside him at a fair pace, and Loot is napping lazily atop Maus' head. "I still wish you'd just tell me what you're up to."

  8. 01[17:34] <Trevor> "I'm certain it'll be obvious once we're inside." Just a minute or two more and... Bang! Right in front of the Pokemon Center. "After you, Maus," he says as he makes a gesture to the door.
  9. [17:36] <~Maus_Riverbed> "...Uh huhn," Maus nods, looking at the building. "You know none of us are injured, right?" half a lie, his arm's still being a thing, but he heads on inside anyway.
  10. 01[17:37] <Trevor> "I'm aware of that, but it isn't why I brought you here." He and the Quilava-filled wagon soon follow in afterwards.
  11. [17:38] <Steve> Steve is inside, speaking with one of the nurses about room and board, and possible places in the city he could move to once his practice improved.
  12. 01[17:40] <Trevor> Trevor takes note of Steve's presence as he enters the building, waving to him before giving a quick "Good afternoon" to him.

  15. 06[17:42] * Steve looks over to Trevor and Maus, and smiles. He turns back to the nurse, and bows appreciatively, their conversation pretty much over. He turns to the two.
  16. [17:43] <Steve> "Hey you two." He looks over to Maus. "How's your..." He winks. He promised he wouldn't ask, but he would at least like to know it was holding up.
  17. 06[17:43] * ~Maus_Riverbed flinches a little, but shrugs. "It's alright, right now."
  18. 01[17:45] <Trevor> "You two are familiar with one another?" Whelp. Didn't see that one coming.
  19. [17:46] <~Maus_Riverbed> "Uh, yeah... we met a few days ago," Maus nods, blinking a little. "What's your excuse?"
  20. 06[17:47] * Steve nods. "Maus was one of the ones who helped me for a special mission. And I met Trevor on my first day in Ivoryscape. Plus a special project he asked me about."
  21. [17:47] <Steve> Blink, blink. "I don't suppose that's why you're here?"
  22. 01[17:49] <Trevor> "I'm not certain how much Kuji and the others have informed you of... Though apparently it was already a fair deal... But, yes, that's why Maus is accompanying me."

  24. [17:56] <Steve> "Well actually..." Steve was about to comment, before stopping, and smiling. "I think I know less about what happened than you give me credit for."
  25. 06[17:56] * ~Maus_Riverbed blinks and looks between them, thuroughly confused.
  26. 06[17:57] * Trevor patpats Maus. "Don't worry about it, Maus... It's irrelevant."
  27. [17:58] <Steve> "Now then, if you're here for why I think you're here, then right this way." With that, Steve directs them towards his small Daycare, where all of Steve's Pokemon are apparently at work.
  28. 06[18:00] * ~Maus_Riverbed looks around a little, then down to Rolane; and they both share a shrug and follow. "I don't even..."
  29. 01[18:01] <Trevor> Trevor takes that direction and follows along after Steve. His smile's uncharacteristically " :3 ", for sake of making an emote, to the effect of 'Oh boy, I wonder how he's gonna react when...'
  30. [18:02] <Steve> Gaav is at the door, watching over everything. So are Sludgicus and Jareth, but they seem to be just lazing around. Scarlet and Naga are busy tending to a small group in the middle of the room, Scarlet dancing around them and Naga rattling her tail over their heads. Duplica and the borrowed Chai are taking the more parental role.
  31. [18:03] <Steve> Because in the middle of the crowd are four baby Eevees, no more than a few days old, one dancing around Scarlet while two are batting at the rattle. "They hatched just a day after I got back from the Milotic Daycare," Steve explains with a smile.

  33. 01[18:06] <Trevor> Charmeleon... Good choice of bouncer. But unfortunately not the focus of attention; that role is occupied by the four little Eevee babbies, which are... Wait, four? Trevor makes a motion to approach the Eevees. "... Do you mind, Steve?"
  34. 06[18:07] * ~Maus_Riverbed looks around, still a little confused. However Rolane, the Champeon by his feet, is much less confused and hurries forward to greet the newborns.
  35. [18:08] <Steve> "Absolutely," Steve agrees with a nod, motioning for the two to come in. "Three brothers and a sister."

  37. 01[18:10] <Trevor> Trevor soon accompanies Rolane on the ground with the Eevees, a single hand dropping down to garner the attention of one of the Eevee babbies. Trevor then uses his free arm to wave Maus down, beckoning him over towards the Eevees. "Well... What do you think, Maus?"

  40. 06[18:11] * ~Maus_Riverbed heads over, kneeling down next to them. "They're cute, but what do they have to do with anything?" he seems sort of clueless, even if there's a big grin on his face as he starts playing with them.
  41. [18:12] <Steve> "It was a favour Trevor asked of me. Eevee are very unique creatures, and more and more new forms of them have been showing up here in Altho." He nods to Chai and Rolane.
  42. 01[18:14] <Trevor> "As such, I had thought that perhaps you'd be interested in having a couple others accompany you..."
  43. [18:17] <~Maus_Riverbed> "...Ah," Maus seems to take a moment before it just clicks with him, in a moment of 'oh duh'. "I see."
  44. [18:21] <~Maus_Riverbed> "...I don't think I could possibly care for this many, though."
  45. 01[18:21] <Trevor> Trevor digs through his bag before pulling out a pair of little sunglasses, a string attached to it such that it could be worn around someone's neck. "I... Wasn't quite expecting this many myself, Steve."
  46. [18:22] <Steve> Steve laughs, embarrassed. "That makes three of us. It's amazing; all four eggs were given to us in one night."

  49. [18:24] <Steve> Duplica looks a little embarrassed.
  50. 01[18:26] <Trevor> "Well, I suppose it can't quite be helped..." Trevor kind of lets out a little chuckle before turning to Maus. "Well, Maus?"
  51. 06[18:26] * ~Maus_Riverbed chuckles and plays with the little eevees, seeming to need a bit before answer. "I... can't exactly turn them down, but I can't possibly take care of all of them."

  53. [18:28] <Steve> "It's alright." Steve sits down, and gently takes one of the babies into his lap. "Why don't you take one in your care, and come back so they can be together every now and then?"
  54. 01[18:28] <Trevor> "I wouldn't exactly expect to be capable of caring for all of them myself..." He looks up to Steve. "What would you suggest be done with the remaining Eevee, Steve? If Maus is capable of handling the two I requested for him, that leaves two..."
  55. 01[18:30] <Trevor> "..." Welp, that answers that. "I suppose that'd work." He holds out the sunglasses towards the Eevee, hoping one of 'em is enough of a badass to pull off the look.

  57. [18:31] <~Maus_Riverbed> "...I could do that, but..." he's biting his lip, thinking about something he's not speaking about openly. At least, not for a few moments, then... "Why?"

  59. [18:32] <Steve> Steve blinks, and smiles again. "Well, they're brothers and sister. I just think it'd be nice if they could still be in contact with each other. I feel the same for the Celitty, but due to their ability to communicate via radio waves, they have it easier."
  60. [18:33] <~Maus_Riverbed> "That's... not what I mean. I mean... why'd you go through all this for me?"
  61. 01[18:34] <Trevor> "Well, umm..." Trevor's a little bit hesitant to respond to this one himself, though he manages to blurt out a response after but a moment. "Well, you're my friend, right, Maus? It's the least I could do for you."
  62. 06[18:34] * Steve nods to Trevor; after all, this was his idea.
  63. 01[18:35] <Trevor> This is on top of burying Maus alive in more clothes than he'd know what to do with.
  64. [18:37] <~Maus_Riverbed> "...Well, yes, but..." Maus looks sideways, seemingly lost in thought about something again; then shakes his head clear. "Nevermind. I... I'll accept, then."
  65. 06[18:40] * Steve pets the Eevee in his lap, before speaking up. "Would you be...adverse to some of the others adopting one?" He had to admit, he was kind of getting attached to having them around. Scarlet and Naga sure seemed to.
  66. 01[18:41] <Trevor> "I'm glad to hear that, Maus. And while I wouldn't be adverse to the idea, Steve, I suppose it'd at least be worth offering to Camellia first, considering she was the one who allowed for this to be possible."
  67. 06[18:41] * ~Maus_Riverbed looks to Trevor. "What about you?"

  69. 01[18:43] <Trevor> "Well, I..." Even though the Eevees are 'HNNNGH' adorable... There's still the issue of.... "Well, if it's necessary I could..."

  77. 06[18:50] * Steve smiles. "And my practice is here, in case you ever need a babysitter."
  78. 01[18:51] <Trevor> "I suppose with multiple offers for assistance, I'm... Not really in much of a position to refuse, am I?" While he wears a half-smile in saying it, he kinda lets it slip out as if defeated.
  79. [18:52] <~Maus_Riverbed> "Well, I just... I think it'll be good for you. These little guys seem to like you, afterall."

  81. 06[18:55] * Steve nods, agreeing with Maus's assessment.
  82. 01[18:56] <Trevor> "If you insist upon it..." The Eevee that seemed most receptive to him is now equipped with 'Cool Sunglasses'! Has a static effect of adding +5 to Badassery Checks... Oh wait, P:TA doesn't have those. Carry on, then.
  83. 01[18:59] <Trevor> He then pulls out, on top of that, what appears to be a floral necklace of sorts and some cute little boots that look like they might actually fit on the Eevee's footsies, offering them over to Maus. 'cause accessorizing your Pokemon is totally an awesome thing to do.
  84. [19:02] <Steve> (Maus! Do you want the sister or one of the brothers?)

He wheels over the wagon, Quilava still occupying it and merely opening up an eye to see what's provoking the motion before seeing he's wheeled up towards a handful of Eevee... The shadesified one soon finding itself occupying the padded wagon with him.
  104. [19:20] <~Maus_Riverbed> "Alright," Maus smiles a little, helping the one that has taken most to him up and into his arms, having bonded with it in a very short time. "I, uh... thanks."
  105. 01[19:25] <Trevor> "Think nothing of it, Maus... And again, your assistance in making this possible is much appreciated, Steve."
  106. [19:27] <Steve> "It was my pleasure," Steve reassures. "Now you two...go have fun." He smiles, and gives a little wink.
