  1. Scoots! You’re gonna be late!
  2. >”I know! I’m going!” Scootaloo panicked as she scuttled her way down the stairs.
  3. >You quickly finish putting some snacks in a lunch bag for her and the toaster pops.
  4. >You smear a generous amount of peanut butter on the piece of toast. Scootaloo is scrambling to get her helmet on at the front door.
  5. >With the lunch bag and peanut butter toast you hand her off both items and pat her on the head.
  6. Alright kiddo, get going and have a good day. I’ll come by at the end of school.
  7. >”No problem.” She muffles with the toast in her mouth. With a buzz of her wings she takes off in her scooter down the path.
  8. >It’s been a few days since you took her into your home.
  9. >Two weeks of her new life or at least you hope so. As you watched Scootaloo disappear into the distance, you could see Fluttershy flying towards your house.
  10. >Ohboyherewego.jpg
  11. >She seemed to have noticed the small orange filly leaving your house as she looked back to watch Scootaloo. She finally arrives at your doorstep, but you just waited for her with arms crossed.
  12. >”Oh, good morning Anon.” She greeted you cheerfully as always. “Was that Scootaloo that just left?”
  13. Yup.
  14. >She blushed and eyed the ground, scraping her hoof into the ground, “Oh... I didn’t know you were into that sort of thing, Anon.”
  15. >What the shit...
  16. No, it’s not like that! She was without a home Fluttershy, so I decided to take her in. She needs someone to be there for her.
  17. >Fluttershy seemed to adore you more than ever, “Anon, I didn’t take you for the fatherly kind of person. That’s so sweet of you.” She smiles.
  18. Well, someone has to. I’m surprised no one noticed this yet.
  19. >”Anon, is having children your fetish? I could bear you a healthy filly or even a colt!” she gazes at you like you’re the perfect specimen.
  20. >What is this I don’t even.
  21. >You could give her this incredulous work.
  22. No... I don’t think you even know how that’s biologically impossible.
  23. >Having to bite your own tongue, you weren’t sure if the same rules apply here as they did on earth. But you weren’t about to let her try it.
  24. >Fluttershy tilts her head down, “Oh, it’s just that you seem so happy now that you’re taking care of her.”
  25. I’m just happy she’s safe. God knows what would’ve happen if she was left out there to fend for herself.
  26. >You realized that Fluttershy came here with a purpose.
  27. I suppose you’re here to inquire my fetish as usual?
  28. >”Actually, no.” She reaches behind her and pulls out a measuring cup. “I’m short on flour. If you don’t mind that is...”
  29. Oh.
  30. >You comply with her request and fill the measuring cup with flour. Being annoyed with her antics is one thing, but you still want to be friends with her.
  31. Fluttershy, you keep trying to guess my fetish. I always say no. Why do you keep on doing this? I think we would be better off as friends.
  32. >She only smiled innocently as she took the cup of flour, “It’s alright Anon. You just don’t realize what you want, but I’ll help you see.” She takes off to the sky before you could adequately respond.
  33. >Despite her usual meekness, this is the most determined she’s ever been.
  34. >Cleaning up the kitchen, a knock on the door roused you from your work.
  35. >It was AppleJack.
  36. >”Howdy! Y’all set to do some fixin’ around the farm?”
  37. >That’s right, today was you had to go to the farm and help out.
  38. Yeah, just let me put on some work duds.
  39. >Before you know it, you were at Apple Acres with AJ as she gives you the rundown of the farm and where to find the tools. “Just let us know if ya need anything else, we can pick up the supplies.”
  40. >Your first task was to sand down and give the fence a fresh coat of varnish. As you set upon your work for the first couple of hours, AJ brings you a bottle of apple juice made fresh from their own stock.
  41. Thanks AJ.
  42. >The cool refreshing juice is heaven in your parched mouth and throat.
  43. >AJ nodded, “Well thank ya kindly for doing this here fence. I know it ain’t like bucking the trees, but you gotta have the legs for it.” She taps the ground lightly with her hooves.
  44. Anything I can do to help, AJ.
  45. >”Oh, AppleBloom was tellin’ me something the other day. Somethin’ about her friend Scootaloo...”
  46. >She must be telling her friends already about her situation.
  47. >”Somethin’ about her stayin’ at yer place I think. What’s that all about Anon?” she asked inquisitively.
  48. >You explained to AJ how you found Scootaloo alone in a cardboard box, how you gave her soup and waited until she was ready to come live with you.
  49. >”She was livin’ out on the streets and didn’t tell no one?” AJ was clearly shocked by this revelation.
  50. I’m guessing she didn’t tell anyone because she’s been OK up to this point, and didn’t want anyone to worry about her.
  51. >”That poor little filly...” she looked to the ground.
  52. I know. That’s why I took her in.
  53. >”But why Anon? She ain’t your family, well not in that sense. You really had no reason to go do that.”
  54. I guess... it’s because we’re alike in some ways.
  55. >”What y’all mean?” she asked.
  56. I never knew my dad. It was just me and my mom. Scootaloo still hasn’t told me much about her parents. I can only assume the worse.
  57. >AJ takes her hat off, “I’m sorry Anon. I didn’t mean to stir up bad feelin’s”
  58. It’s OK, I’m just glad I could do something for someone.
  59. >”You think y’all can handle taking care of her?” she asks.
  60. >You looked at her, and back to the ground. This was commitment to safeguarding an innocent foal.
  61. Yeah. Before I came here, I’ve been taking care of myself.
  62. >Not much was said after that. You continued your work and part on the first coat of varnish by the time Scootaloo should be out of school.
  63. >AJ paid you the cash for your work that day and you made your way to the school.
  64. >As the school building came in sight, you heard the school bell ring. Young foals poured out the front doors; some went to play in the playground and others stayed by the doors to socialize.
  65. >There you could see Scootaloo and her two friends Sweetie Belle and AppleBloom together. Scoots had her helmet on while standing on her scooter.
  66. >AppleBloom and Sweetie Belle greeted you cheerfully, and Scootaloo hopped off her scooter only to latch onto your waist with a hug.
  67. >”See? I told you he was coming to pick me up. Anon is the coolest person next to Rainbow Dash!” Scootaloo proclaimed.
  68. >Her two friends said their goodbyes and took off back to their homes.
  69. >As Scootaloo nuzzled herself into your chest, the snickering of two foals caught her attention. Looking to them and back at you, she blushed with a worried look on her face.
  70. >You noticed a smudge on her face; you lick your thumb and wipe the dirt off.
  71. Hold still, Scoots. You got some dirt on you.
  72. >She reels back scooter, “Don’t do that! Let’s just go.” She sounded like she was in a hurry.
  73. Something wrong?
  74. >The two fillies, one pink and the other a smoky gray, were whispering to each other and snickering.
  75. >”No! Let’s just go home.” She muttered as she pushes against your leg to get moving.
  76. >Leaving the school, Scootaloo buzzes down the road along side you. She seemed to be looking away from you and didn’t look in your direction until you were both far away from the school.
  77. How was school?
  78. >”It was OK. Me and the other Cutie Mark Crusaders tried to earn out cutie marks by seeing how long we could skip rope for.”
  79. And?
  80. >She looks down at the ground in front of her, “No luck...”
  81. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but you shouldn’t rush these things. You’ll find your talent in due time.
  82. >You had an idea what she was good at, but you were a firm believer in letting nature run its course.
  83. >Later that evening as you got dinner ready, Scootaloo was finishing up her homework for the day.
  84. I’m gonna have to teach you how to cook one day.
  85. >”Why’s that?” she asked.
  86. So you can cook for me when I’m old and useless.
  87. >You stick your tongue out at her, trying to inject some humour.
  88. >She giggles, “You’re not useless. If anything you’re awesome!” You couldn’t help but chuckle as well.
  89. I believe that cooking is an essential life skill. And who knows, maybe you might earn your cutie mark...
  90. >That was something you added to help motivate her.
  91. >”You really think so?” she asked with a glimmer of hope in her adorable eyes.
  92. >With a nod, you prepare the final touches on dinner. For yourself you prepared salmon, and a healthy selection of vegetables cooked in a variety of ways for the both of you.
  93. >As you both ate Scootaloo finally asked you a question, “Anon, do you think maybe I can start coming home by myself from now on?”
  94. What do you mean?
  95. >She looked down at her plate, “It’s just that, the others see you and me together.” You were a kid once and you know what she was getting at.
  96. Oh.
  97. >You looked at the vegetables as you stirred them with your fork.
  98. You’re embarrassed of me?
  99. >”No! It’s just that, I wish you wouldn’t baby me in front of the others....” her little face turns red.
  100. I have no problem if you want to come home alone, if you ever want me to come get you, just let me know.
  101. >”Thanks.”
  102. >It was quiet for the next while. Scootaloo still seemed worried, “You’re not mad at me, are you? Please don’t be mad.”
  103. Why would you think I’m angry?
  104. >”I mean... why are you so nice to me?” she asked. “You barely know me and you’ve given me a home. I don’t deserve any of this.”
  105. Well I couldn’t just leave you out there, Scoot. Someone has to take care you.
  106. >”Oh...” she stirs the vegetables around in her plate. She was definitely upset about something.
  107. If something wrong?
  108. >Scootaloo seemed to be at a loss for words. She was still young and didn’t know how to articulate her words, so she did the next best thing.
  109. >With a clank, she drops her utensil on her plate and walks over to you. She hops into your lap and hugs you around the neck.
  110. >She begins to cry.
  111. >Taken back by this surge in her emotions, you eventually pat her on the back. Gently rocking back and forth and trying to soothe her, in time she speaks up.
  112. >She never knew her dad. Her step-father would go out, come back smelling funny and stumbling. He beat her on many occasions. The mother yelled and screamed saying it was Scootaloo’s fault.
  113. >Scootaloo was taken to a shopping centre and was abandoned there. When she found her way home hours later, both parents were gone.
  114. >Beaten and rejected by her own biological parents, she lived on the streets for a while. She eventually made friends with Sweetie Belle, and then AppleBloom.
  115. >Even after all she’s been through, this tiny innocent pegasus has been resilient to what life has thrown at her. Here she is, sobbing quietly in your chest as she retells you her story. You could feel your heart ripping.
  116. >You couldn’t help but sniffle as the tears built up in your eyes. Scootaloo looked up, “Why are you sad, Anon?”
  117. >Taking in a deep breath, you felt your bottom lip tremble a little. You couldn’t cry now, not in front of her. Holding yourself together you explained to her what you’ve been through yourself.
  118. >You held her even closer, her tiny warm body seemingly so frail and delicate.
  119. >She eventually fell asleep in your arms that evening, all tuckered out for her emotional outburst. You carried her up stairs and tucked her into bed.
  120. >Rubbing the side of her face gently, she looked so peaceful in her sleep.
  121. >You peck her cheek and whispered to her
  122. I promise nothing bad will ever happen to you...
  123. >As the days turn to weeks, you and Scootaloo became closer; almost like brother and sister.
  124. >She was still a child after all, and you had to be more of a parent to her before being her best friend. She always complied, and was very well behaved.
  125. Scoots! Wanna help me make breakfast?
  126. >”Sure!”
  127. All right, here’s the recipe for pancakes so you’ll need to gather all the ingrediants.
  128. >As you and Scootaloo set about making breakfast, Scootaloo accidentally tips over the bag of flour turning the whole counter and yourselves white.
  129. >You began to sneeze in a fit while Scootaloo stood there and laughed.
  130. >The batter was made soon enough and the skillet was hot enough to start cooking.
  131. Scootaloo, you need to be careful when cooking. Even when you become comfortable that’s when accidents can happen.
  132. >”Gotcha.” She begins to pour the batter in the skillet.
  133. Watch out for the bubbles, use the spatula to lift the edge and check to see how it’s cooking.
  134. >The first few attempts of her flipping pancakes ended up flying onto the ceiling, but she eventually got the hang of it.
  135. >Soon there was a tall stack of pancakes on a plate. You showed Scootaloo how to set the table nicely.
  136. >With a glass of orange juice, you and Scootaloo enjoyed breakfast together. The kitchen looked like it went through hell and back, but at least you both had fun.
  137. >Just as you both were finishing up breakfast, there was a knock at the door.
  138. >Expecting it to be Fluttershy, you were pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually Sweetie Belle and AppleBloom
  139. Morning girls, what brings you here?
  140. >”We wanted to see if Scootaloo can come play with us” AppleBloom spoke up.
  141. >”Yeah, and we got a great idea for how we could earn our Cutie Marks!” Sweetie Belle chirped.
  142. >Scootaloo rushed to the door, “Hey guys! I’ll just go grab my stuff and-“ she looks back to the kitchen seeing that it was still a mess.
  143. >She looks up to you with a worried look.
  144. I gotcha cover this time, you go have fun with your friends.
  145. >”Thanks Anon!” she hugs are leg. Grabbing her helmet and scooter she takes off with her two friends.
  146. >Lo and behold, Fluttershy comes into view with something. She was holding a tray of cookies in her mouth, a clear plastic wrap was covering them.
  147. >She gently places the tray down onto the front step.
  148. >”Good morning Anon. I was hoping you were home, I baked you this tray of delicious oatmeal cookies.” She smiles.
  149. Well thank you. But last time you gave me food you were trying to feed me something else.
  150. >”I wouldn’t do such a thing!” her eyes widen.
  151. >Flash back to her giving you a fruit salad. It looked delicious, but you saw there were pills in the salad.
  152. >You just frowned at her.
  153. >She smiles nervously, “Those were just vitamins Anon. I want to see my big man grow up big and strong.”
  154. Then you wouldn’t have any problem eating these delicious cookies with me?
  155. >”Not at all.” She seems confident. “But uh, you take the first bite.”
  156. Fluttershy...
  157. >She looks at the cookie with a dreaded look and with a nervous giggle she pops the cookie in her mouth. Her cheeks bulge with the chewed up food.
  158. Swallow it.
  159. >With a loud gulp, she consumes the chewed up cookie.
  160. >”There see? Nothing to be worried about. Now quickly, take a bite.” She insisted.
  161. >Well, if she ate them then maybe they were alright. You lift a cookie to your mouth, Fluttershy watches intensely as her eyes go wide.
  162. >Just as the cookie reaches your mouth, you noticed Fluttershys legs beginning to wobble. She broke out into a sweat as her eyes began to open and close randomly.
  163. Just as I thought.
  164. >With that, she teeters back and forth before finally falling over asleep.
  165. How cute.
  166. >Disgusted as you were with her attempt to drug you, leaving her out here wouldn’t be the nicest thing to do. Picking her up, you bring her indoors and lay her on the couch with a blanket.
  167. >You promptly threw out the cookies.
  168. >Cleaning up the kitchen was an ordeal; flour everywhere and pancakes on the ceiling.
  169. >It took a while, but you were almost done cleaning the kitchen and finishing up washing the dishes. You could hear Fluttershy yawning as the drugs wore off.
  170. >She makes her way into the kitchen slowly, her mane all messed up “Did... did we do it?” she asked with a goofy smile.
  171. >Fucking Fluttershy...
  172. No, but I’ll remind you to not bring drugged food while I have Scootaloo under my care.
  173. >Her eyes begin to tear up, “I’m so sorry Anon. I didn’t mean for her to get hurt.”
  174. It’s OK, but I wish you would stop with these attempts.
  175. >”I can’t help it Anon. You’re all alone taking care of her. You must be lonely.”
  176. Not really, in fact, she’s the best thing to have happened to me. She’s almost like family.
  177. >Fluttershy’s ears droop down “But... I wanted to make you happy.”
  178. Well, if you weren’t trying to get into my pants with these stupid antics of yours, I’d be more receptive to you.
  179. >”You know Anon. You don’t have to take care of Scootaloo by yourself.” She moves in closer to you.
  180. >”You could be the father and I’ll be the mother. We’ll be a happy family together!” she smiles up at you.
  181. No.
  182. >”But I thought...” she whimpers. But her face becomes sterner “That’s OK. I’ll find a way to make both you and Scootaloo happy.”
  183. >You dropped wash cloth and looked at her with a death stare.
  184. You keep Scootaloo out of this. She’s my responsibility and you’ll not involve her in your messed up fantasy.
  185. >”Just give it some thought Anon.” She smiles as she walks to the front door. “She is a Pegasus after all, and she won’t be your little Scootaloo forever.”
  186. >Her words left a bad taste in your mouth as she took off.
  187. >But there was a certain truth to what she said.
