Mario Kart 8 Leaderboard Closing

As many of you may have noticed, this game hasn't been too active as a speedgame. There are occasional submissions, but there's only been about 5 submissions in December alone. Another thing you may have noticed, the Mario Kart 8 leaderboard recently opened up on Speedrun.com. The Mario Kart page on Speedrun.com consists of all Mario Kart games in the franchise will most, if not all recorded runs of every MK game. The site also has a much friendlier and easier system of updating times, making updating on this Google Doc feel like a hassle rather than an enjoyment. Speedrun.com has also received more of my attention due to there being more games I need to keep track of. All of those things make updating this leaderboard and afterthought and not fun anymore. Plus, the site has a very large community with lots of friendly Mario Kart runners and speedrunners alike that is a lot of fun to be a part of. With that said, this leaderboard isn't "shutting down," as a more appropriate term would be "moving over." The Mario Kart 8 leaderboard will be permanently staying at Speedrun.com as of January 31st, 2015. I hope you all join me and the many other Mario Kart runners over at the site. Thank you all for your 100+ submissions to this leaderboard, I can genuinely say that as the only mod that was willing to stay here and update this board, I enjoyed seeing all of your submissions here. The submissions link has been removed and the submissions form has been closed. This Doc has not been updated since Mid-December and will no longer be updated. The Doc will not be deleted, but only the link to the Speedrun.com leaderboard will be on here. With that said, thanks again and I hope to see your submissions on the site!
