BACKSTORY: The Caucasus Mountains, once a land of beautiful hills and mountains and a sanctuary for nature lovers, has long been a war zone. The natural resources of the area have tempted the much larger neighbors of the three primary countries of the region (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), and due to circumstance these nations have been forced to band together into the Caucasian Republic, centered in Tblisi. While the Republic has lost several periphery regions, including Dagestan, Abkhazia, and Nakchivan, local insurgencies publicly backed by the Republic's government make the ongoing occupation of these territories a struggle. These insurgencies are the birthplace of Grigol Gelashvili.

Grigol is one of the children of war, children born to insurgents in an active warzone. This phenomena has been ongoing for nearly a century, each new generation of these children fighting and raising the next generation in total isolation from their country itself. Grigol's parents, both themselves ethnically Georgian, were both born in the warzone of Nakchivan, fighting Persian and Turkish troops in the mountains, hills, and forests. War in the Caucasus is drastically different than in many other parts of the world, as the rugged terrain makes mech movements slow and careful, and Mobile Infantry in powered armor are the workhorses of the conflicts. Grigol learned to pilot his own suit of armor, an EG-01 PA suit (Emerald Gardens have been very active in funding the insurgencies both as a test of its equipment's capabilities and in exchange for access to some of the natural resources in the area). After fourteen years of endless war, however, Grigol decided that he needed a change of pace, and left the mountains of his homeland to find his fortune abroad.

Grigol is of slightly above average height, at 5'10" tall. He has tan skin, brown eyes, and short black hair, with a stubble-beard on his face. While some would likely find him attractive, his personality is cold and focused, a trait bred from a lifetime of unceasing war. He has a scar on his right cheek just below the cheekbone, leading to his right ear.
