OTAFA: Crashing at Millutia

 Admiral Kazath had a tour given to him aboard his new <i>Octinium II</i>-class dreadnought. The command bridge was largely the same, but many other parts of the ship were different. He studied the layout for a couple of hours, and would start practicing after the Furpriest Gandahar is eliminated. The ship required a crew of 100,000, significantly less than his first ship. Advancements in neural networking and communication made it possible for commanding officers with these network implants attached to them to control tens of thousands of crewmembers simultaneously. Kazath would be giving direct orders to these officers to then be processed by the network and given throughout the crewmembers. The new dreadnought class also had many more improvements, such as the high increase in turbolaser batteries and ion cannons. A new prototype model of shield draining  ray was attached. It would greatly help in defeating large furry battlestations and capitals. But for now, he would go back to his normal <i>Octinium</i>-class dreadnought until he learned how to properly control the new ship.

 Kazath arrived at the next hangar and got into his ship. The blue face of Captain Arkus appeared on the holoprojector and told him that they were ready to make the jump to the Urkil System. The fleets met above orbit around Koth and went into hyperspace. The Urkil and Kolambar systems were conquered, among countless other more minor star systems that were taken over by the Expansionary Armada. With this region of space conquered, it completed the First Conquest of the Hresus Region territory. It was a small gain in terms of area, but many key worlds were located there. The takeover of the Sornis System would be one of the key star systems in this region. After that, the Armada would move in and conquer the worlds after the Cletosia System had been taken.
"I will now send out the transponders." said Arkus.
Kazath could hear a loud click noise and he saw thousands of the small, hyperdrive equipped devices fly out of Arkus's <i>Solace</i>-class battlecruiser.
"They are going to be launched in 5 minutes. In that time, we will send out the Micro Gamma Bomb."
A small freighter flew right next to the battlecruiser and stopped. Then, it exploded in a wave of gamma rays.
Arkus didn't have time to say anything as he was instantly disintegrated. Kazath's fleet lost all power and started drifting towards the strong gravity of the planet Millutia.

"Activate the stabilizers and order all ships to do the same." ordered Kazath.
The stabilizers activated, and the dreadnought straightened out. Kazath could see many others on the holomap begin to stabilize, but others weren't so lucky. The fighters attempted to dock, but were deflected off the shields and fell flaming towards the planet. The surviving ships reached the surface of Millutia, and could see the aftermath of OTAFA orbital bombardment. There was no vegetation remaining and there were massive holes everywhere.
"Tell all surviving ships to set shields to maximum."
Some ships fell into holes, but most survived. The OTAFA fleet landed and suddenly everything went black.
"Warning: Radiation levels at 500R." said the computer. Kazath saw the radiation deflectors draining, and everyone on the ships started dying quickly. Kazath got his personal suit on and activated the barrier. Around him, his fellow crewmates and officers collapsed and burned, screaming in agony. Kazath didn't feel a thing and tried out the suit. The barrier worked with some strange effect that completely blocked out radiation. He made his way to the exit of the ships and went out, the surface was barren and littered with destroyed furry cities and OTAFA ships. He would need to survive.
