DEAD BASIC GAMEPLAY:

--IT’S A GODDAMN FPS SURVIVAL GAME.

GET RESOURCES:

-- (hard)WOOD: Hit any tree or sapling with the rock, or pick up stumps from
(the ground.
-- STONE: Hit the dark-colored, impossibly round boulders with the rock (one way
to tell which boulders can be harvested is to check if there’s moss on it.
Mossy = can’t be harvested) or pick up dark stones from the ground.
-- CLOTH: Pick up hemp bushes (small bush that’s a darker shade of green than
other plants).

Aɪʀ, ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ, ᴀɴᴅ ғᴏᴏᴅ ᴀʀᴇ ᴍᴇᴛᴀʙᴏʟɪᴄ ʀᴇǫᴜɪʀᴇᴍᴇɴᴛs ғᴏʀ sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴀʟ ɪɴ ᴀʟʟ ᴀɴɪᴍᴀʟs,
ɪɴᴄʟᴜᴅɪɴɢ ʜᴜᴍᴀɴs.

FOOD: find some food before you starve. Ideas (in rough order of difficulty):

-- Pick MUSHROOMS and eat them raw.  Mushrooms often spawn in patches of dirt
that looks like black/brown grass in forests. CORN or PUMPKINS are also
options.
-- Make a SURVIVAL FISH TRAP, bait it with a piece of food (probably a mushroom).
Catch minnows and eat them raw.  You can’t bait a trap with minnows or seeds.
-- CANDY BARS and CANNED FOOD are found in the loot crates around landmarks and
power lines (find them with the livemap).  Careful not to get shot by other
players.
-- Kill a BOAR, HORSE, or DEER (easiest to hardest) with your spear.  Butcher it
with your hatchet.  Make a campfire and cook the meat (don’t burn it; eating
raw or burned meat damages you).  Hunting is the most plentiful food source in
the early game. Run away at the first sight of a bear until you have firearms.

WATER:

Most foods have some water in them; pork particularly so.  You can drink from
streams.

CLOTHING:

Make some burlap clothes/shoes/gloves with the cloth from the hemp you’ve been
picking up.  This will keep you from getting too cold at night or in snow.
Don’t stress this too much.  Sexual competition comes later when you figure
out how to make some bitching hoodies and jeans.

SHELTER:

-- When you log out, your character passes the fuck out and falls down asleep on
the spot. Players can see/loot/kill your body while you are logged out. Until
you have a house, sleep in an out-of-the-way-bush to try and stay hidden.

-- Make a SLEEPING BAG (or several) and build it on the ground somewhere (in a
bush or in a house).  When you die, you can spawn at any of your sleeping
bags.  If you own no sleeping bags, you are spawned at a random point on the
beach again.

SAFETY:

Build a 2x1 stone shack with a WOODEN DOOR and a LOCK.  To do this you need a
BUILDING PLAN.  Make your foundations first, then build the rest on top of the
foundation.  Use a HAMMER to upgrade your structures to stone.  If you
struggle with any of this, consult Youtube or Google.  Place a WOOD STORAGE
BOX and a SLEEPING BAG in your shack and make an extra key to put in the box
so that when you’re out exploring, get killed and eaten by a bear and then
wake up in your sleeping bag, you aren’t locked into your house.  (NOTE: this
house is insecure as FUCK and mostly gives you a psychological sense of
security.)
