Il sessantaseiesimo Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo si svolge al Teatro Ariston di Sanremo dal 9 al 13 febbraio 2016, e vede per la seconda volta consecutiva Carlo Conti nella doppia veste di presentatore e direttore artistico. Nell'occasione sarà affiancato dall'attore Gabriel Garko, dalla comica Virginia Raffaele e dalla modella e attrice Mădălina Diana Ghenea.

Quinta serata: i 15 artisti rimasti in gara per la sezione Campioni interpretano il proprio brano. Dopo le loro esibizioni, si esibirà la canzone ripescata tra le cinque canzoni eliminate nella quarta serata. Il sistema di votazione per la finale sarà lo stesso della quarta serata: il voto del pubblico mediante il televoto pesa per il 40%, quello degli esperti per il 30% e quello della giuria demoscopica per il 30%. Le tre canzoni più votate accedono alla finalissima: tre artisti in gara si esibiscono nuovamente e, mediante lo stesso sistema di votazione, viene decretata la canzone vincitrice del 66º Festival di Sanremo.
