I spent some time with Beans, after all of these events. She’s really such a good person, I wish I could be more like her. Lately though I’ve been worried about her. She’s been more aggressive in her endeavors, putting herself in harm’s way when she really should stay back with me. I’m not doubting her abilities, but she’s not exactly the fighter type. After speaking with her she said that she was dying, and it’s a curse of her race. She needs a purpose to continue living, and being in this town with us and being close and becoming friends has made her feel comfortable, which has spurned her so called curse. We talked at length about her getting a purpose back, which Malchizidek should be enough of a purpose, but she needs to focus on goals she can attain right now so it isn’t so broad. Hopefully that helps her.
I also spoke with the Analyst and the Di-Dorem again. Most of the magic I call upon from my blood is fire based, and I feel like it may be limiting me, or could in the future. Analyst 7 knows of a way I can broaden that magic, using energy to change the fire into something else. I’ve begun tutelage to learn what I can from him in hopes to achieve this. It’ll take some time in between our adventuring, but I’m trying to be dedicated, and got in a good four days of study so far.
The Di-Dorem were able to do a favor for me, looking into my parentage. It seems weird, as I never wanted to really know before, thinking it would just get me in trouble. Mama always said full demons were creatures of deceit and not to be trusted. They just played foul games and would steal your soul, so I just forgot over time. But maybe there’s something there that I can use. Maybe I’m tied to something that could be of use to us? I’m not a young naïve bar-wench anymore, and I have friends that will help protect me. So why not look into it?
Well they were able to discover a few things, in return for letting them inspect my runes, which was a little embarrassing letting them inspect my naked body (weird it’s the first time I’ve been embarrassed about it). But knowledge demands sacrifice. After some divining magic, they were able to tell me that my parents reside in Ashton, which is a part of Irkalla in Zerzura, a place connected to the Firmament. I’ll have to talk to Beans more about this later, her knowledge on the planes is pretty expansive. Randidily and Brook might know more as well, but I feel more comfortable talking to Beans about this.
