  1. Islamic State jihadists released a trailer this week for a video game they say will be used to recruit and train children for the group's battle with the West, according to the Islamic State's media wing and several news publications.
  2.
  3. The video, which can be seen below, starts out with a translated quote which appears to say something to the effect of "We do the things you do in games, in real life on the battlefield."
  4.
  5. The video, which looks like it may be the capture of a modded version of a Grand Theft Auto game, kicks off with a still image of a man with a covered head and face holding a weapon, with the words "Grand Theft Auto" printed over an image of a black flag featuring the terror group's logo.
  6.
  7. The gameplay shown features people pulling a police officer out of a cop car and shooting him to death, an explosive attack on a military convoy, a man hiding in trees shooting soldiers from a distance with a sniper rifle and the dusk attack of a convoy by men with assault rifles.
  8.
  9. The short clips are interspersed with the ISIS logo.
  10.
  11. The game was created to "raise the morale of the Mujahideen, and the training of children and young teenagers to fight the West, and throw terror into the hearts of opponents of the state," according to Egyptian news weekly El Fagr.
  12.
  13. We've reached out to Grand Theft Auto-publisher Rockstar to see if it can confirm that the video uses a mod of its game and if it was aware of the video.
