- Hi All,
- This is not your normal neuropathy!!
- I am looking for some help for a patient who has severe neuropathy from Macrodantin toxicity. She has taken Macrodantin for years for chronic UTIs, and the neuropathy became severe in the fall, sending her to the ER. She said she is ready to cut off her feet it is so bad and no Rx or natural tx is helping. As is consistent with macrodantin toxicity, her nerve conduction studies are normal, but skin biopsies showed abnormalities. One studay on Macrodantin toxicity revealed, "Skin biopsies revealed distinctive morphologic changes with clustered terminal nerve swellings without evidence of nerve fiber degeneration."
- I need some good thinking here.
- Drainage? Neuroregeneration? She has tried multiple prescriptions and cannot tolerate narcotics. She does have anxiety and other issues, but the neuropathy is the main concern because of the severity.
- Thank you

- Deanna - I'm sure you're already doing this, but I'd be considering how to reduce that swelling. My thoughts go to systemic ozone (MAH), drainage (1,20, 243 to start), castor oil to area and to liver, contrast hydro to area (maybe, might be too pushy), high dose turmeric (been getting great results with Apex Turmero-Active (no affiliation), gingko, perhaps HP Hypericum if the picture fits - just throwing ideas out there, interested to see what others think.

- For neuropathy in diabetic patients I recommend:
- 1. RebuilderMedical.com their product has been helpful for my patients
- 2. Acetyl-l-carnitine
- 3. R-ALA
- 4. Hericium Erinaceus SAP from NFH
- 5. Sari Cohen mentioned using nervum homeopathy to help her husband’s nerve heal
- 6. Ensure no deficiency in B12 and Folate acid
- 7. Ensure no Arsenic heavy metal toxicity
- 8. Very clean diet—maybe just protein and veggies like that doc who cured her MS eating that way
- 9. Benfotiamine
- 10. Maybe CoQ10, too
- It might help with your patient.
