  1. MUSIC PRODUCTION
  2. ONE SHOT SAMPLES:One shots are loaded up into a sampler and triggered by midi. Alternatively they can be arranged in audio tracks. If theyre arranged in audio tracks they can be played in reverse.
  3.
  4. LOOPS:Loops are audio files with a BPM label. They must be synced to the current project tempo. They can be arranged in audio tracks and even played backwards.
  5.
  6. SAMPLING:Loading up music files. Deleting the silence in the beginning of the track so it starts on the first transient. Adjusting the tempo of the project to reflect the file. Then slicing it up with the quantized grid. Then I can save those slices as loops. Then I can change the tempo of the project again and stretch or compress the audio to fit the grid so its in sync. Then I can save these with a BPM label.
  7.
  8. TIME SHIFTING:Using an algorithm to speed up or slow down an audio clip. There are two types of algorithms. One makes it so if you speed it up or slow it down the pitch goes higher or lower. The other does not affect pitch.
  9.
  10. ARRANGING:Duplication and sequencing of trimmed tempo synced loops or one shot samples. Midi and automation needs to be arranged too.
  11.
  12. QUANTIZE:Rythmic division of 32nd note triplets or larger.
  13.
  14. TEMPO:Tempo determines how fast or slow your project is.
  15.
  16. VST INSTRUMENTS:Vst instruments are sound generators that use either samples or synthesizers. They have different parameters which are changed to design a new sound.
  17.
  18. EFFECTS:There are lots of different effects. They are placed on a track to change the sound of it. EQs are used to cut or raise frequencies. Filters are used to change timbre and volume. Side chaining is used for a pulsing effect. Delays are used to create repeating effects.
  19.
  20. MIDI: Digital note patterns with velocity. Velocity effectively effects volume.
  21.
  22. KNOBS:Vst instruments, effects, and tracks all have knobs. When these knobs are turned they effect the sound.
  23.
  24. AUTOMATION:Using envelopes to turn knobs. Envelopes are straight or curved lines. As the timeline runs the knob follows the lines and turns accordingly.
  25.
  26. QUARTER INCH INPUTS:Guitar or voice can be recorded with quarter inch inputs.
