  1. Fallen London contracts
  2.
  3. A. Court of the Infinite Chorus*
  4.
  5. Pact price: The arrest of the Calender Council, and a Dyson sphere-sized wedding anniversary present
  6.
  7. *because "Court of the Judgments" sounds a little silly
  8.
  9. Contract of Melodious Correspondence
  10. -Rank 1 Clause: Portents of Those Above-With a few whispers, raise the flammability of an object. This can be metaphorical or all too literal. Ban: Cannot be used underground
  11. -Rank 2 Clause: Perfect Pitch-The Changeling may communicate to those he is familiar with as if he was standing face to face with them regardless of all intravening distance for (Clarity) minutes. Ban: Cannot extend to areas where the laws of reality are not as they are "normally"
  12. -Rank 3 Clause: Music of the Spheres-Hum a haunting melody that soothes atoms and molecules, bringing structure and harmony to your immediate endeavors-or structuring subtle obstacles against another. Provides a +(Clarity) bonus OR lowers the difficulty by (Clarity) for an instant action. Ban: The Changeling cannot touch the Earth while using this clause
  13. -Rank 4 Clause: Harmony In All Things-With a touch, the Changeling may banish entropy and optimise order within 100 feet. This has a variety of applications, from causing a man to heal from wounds at the rate they were inflicted, to building a polished car from rusty scraps in a junkyard, to making a shield unbreakable by raw force alone. Ban: The Changeling must be constantly singing when this clause is being used
  14. -Rank 5 Clause: Revelation of Daylight-The Changeling touches a single form of art or written work, instantly translating it into Correspondence sigils. Catch: The Changeling invokes the clause at noontime, at the highest point of the world he may stand upon, and then recites the nearest equivalent of the Pledge of Alleigance to his home country
  15.
  16. Contract of Enigmatic Correspondence
  17. -Rank 1 Clause: Stellar Penmanship-The Changeling's writings burn away ignorance, allowing them to be understood by anyone regardless of language barriers. Catch: The Changeling had written the transcript under the direct light of dawn or under a noonday sun while exposed to the elements
  18. -Rank 2 Clause: Of Things Feared And Unknown-For 7 days, anything directly and personally written by the Changeling gives off a terrible aura of fear that compells those it is not directed to against reading it OR an unhealthy fascination with reading it. Catch: The primary subject of the writings concerns astrophysics
  19. -Rank 3 Clause: Fallen is Babylon-Within 100 feet, all languages except the Correspondence lose all meaning. All. Meaning. Catch: All participants are located somewhere considered to be the center of civilisation
  20. -Rank 4 Clause: Words That Burn-The Changeling crafts a meme of insidious and terrible power. This eldritch transcription may be insinuated into any form of communication he creates, and when someone or something deliberately attempts to decipher the communication with ill intent towards the Changeling, the meme is unleashed into their unwitting mind and a number of unfortunate supernatural effects begin plaguing their life. Individual results may vary-spontaneous combustion, attempts to claw out one's skin, nightmares of THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN etc ad infinitum-but complete failure to remember or record the information always ensues. Catch: The Changeling wrote with the intent of trying to research or discover something.
  21. -Rank 5 Clause: As Above, So Below-The Changeling may bestow the knowledge needed to speak, write and otherwise utilise the Correspondence intuitively on a single sapient being. Ban: This clause costs a permanent dot of Willpower to use
  22.
  23. Contract of the Primordial Scream
  24. -Rank 1 Clause: A Gift of Echoes-The Changeling may store a spoken message in an object. The next person to pick it up hears the message for as long as they hold the object. Should they let go of it, the message pauses and resumes when they pick it up again-however the message cannot be replayed. Catch: The Changeling mouls a container of cooled wax to seal the object in as they invoke the clause
  25. -Rank 2 Clause: Aeolian Battle-Sermon-The Changeling lets loose the power of a storm from his open mouth in a shout like a thunderclap, a miniature storm surging from his mouth in a torret of Neathy rain, dragon thunder and cyclonic fury. Especially potent against those who naturally prefer quiet. Catch: The Changling blinds and dulls and deafens all his senses to focus all his wit and will upon the scream
  26. -Rank 3 Clause: Night-whisperer-The Changeling and communicate verbally with another being as if there were no intravening obstacles. Each activation of this clause provides (Clarity) hours of uninterrupted conversation. Catch: The only intervening distance is outer space or another naturally occurring vacuum. Ban: This contract does not permit communication in and out of a region where the laws of reality are not as they normally are
  27. -Rank 4 Clause: Serious Demarcation-The Changeling opens up a portal, sending a hurtling shower of starstone demarks at a target. Each activation of the clause provides one 80 sq. feet portal at any point the Changeling desires which may be permanently closed at will, and the demarks themselves travel as fast as the average comet. Opponents opposed to normal reality may find their powers disrupted and their forms spontaneously combusting apart from the regular effects of being pelted by meteorites as the demarks reinforce surrounding reality. Alternate clause: Instead of creating more portals the Changeling may increase the size of an existing portal with each activation, proportionally increasing the size of the incoming demarks. Catch: The Changeling just finished a witty one-liner before activating this clause. Ban: The Changeling cannot use this clause to start a fight, although it may be used in the midst of pitched combat
  28. -Rank 5 Clause: The Word-???
  29.
  30. B. Others
  31.
  32. Contract of the Brass Embassy
  33.
  34. Pact price: A Kiln of Souls, forged from the bones of a universe, ignited with Soulfire and girded by modified Soul Shards to allow for the mass production of souls
  35.
  36. -Rank 1 Clause: Brass-Eyed Monster-Perceive souls, with all the nuances of emotion and subtle history that this entails. Roll (Occult+Perception) for quality of soul analysis. Catch: The Changling has entered into a written and legally binding agreement with an individual; the catch works just for this individual and the laws can be of any jurisdiction so long as they are part of a greater system
  37. -Rank 2 Clause: Diabolical Alchemy-The Changeling has the kenning of how to work curious apparatuses that can capture-and perhaps do stranger things to-souls. All of them involve taking brass and working it through alchemy/treatments of Glamour into the ever-burning variety so often seen in Hell (not to be confused with Malfeas). Catch: The Changeling is on fire, embalmed with paper mache and wearing at lesat one article of brass
  38. -Rank 3 Clause: Claws of Paper Mache-The Changeling's blows scorch his opponent with Hell's fury. Slivers of molten brass scald them while leaving the Changeling unscathed and bees appear out of nowhere to begin stinging. Each blow tarnishes the soul with ever-increasing nightmares of fire and revolution. Catch: The Changeling is fighting someone who has broken an agreement with him
  39. -Rank 4 Clause: The Souls Must Flow-This clause provides an eight-again bonus to any attempt to acquire souls the Changeling knows of, whether by contract or persuasion or artifice or straight up yanking it out of the body. Catch: The soul in question is of greater value and quality than the Changeling's own
  40. -Rank 5 Clause: Hell on Wherever-This clause has two uses: 1. By constructing an embassy and a key out of ever-burning brass, the Changeling may open a gateway to Hell, allowing any willing legions to come through. The clause provides no additional protection from the brazen legions, though it should be note that due to the unusual relationship between Hell and Time means that most devils who pour through do so for a bit of adventure. 2. The Changeling may enact a ritual to transfigure anywhere between half a mile and five miles of terrain into its' rough equivalents in Hell: Fruit becomes metallic, water becomes poisonous and brass becomes painful to sit on. Technically no devils are brought about thusly, though it's best not to give the bees ideas. Disclaimer: Technically this isn't transmutation; a layer of infernal space-time is being overlaid upon the terrain as a symbiotic timeline (under subsection r)20i14 Hell is forbidden from expanding further on pain of irresistable Judgement to the entire area). Catch: The clause is used in a land of dreams or mirrors.
  41.
  42. Contract of the Bazaar
  43.
  44. Pact price: The account of a marriage between a man who became a god and the personification of cosmic fire
  45.
  46. -Rank 1 Clause: Legion of Marks-When the Changeling imbibes of the dreams of others while performing Oneiromancy, this clause may be activated to record the sensation of the dream as a sigil somewhere on their body. A second activation of this clause allows someone-the Changeling or someone else-touching the tattoo to experience the dream firsthand. Catch: The dreams are of a story that is the Changeling's preferred genre
  47. -Rank 2 Clause: Lacrefall-The Changeling changes all water in 100 cubic feet into the tears of the Bazaar. Alternatively, the Changeling may cause all snowfall in 100 feet to become Neathy snow for (Wyrd) hours. Catch: The Changeling is underground
  48. -Rank 3 Clause: Firken of Tears-The Changeling may spawn undying abominations loyal to his goals (for a given value of "loyal"), or immortalise other beings by infusing them with refined essence of lacre. Individual results vary greatly but all such beings possess both a aspect of immeasurable vitality. Catch: The procedure was performed because a third party interceded on behalf of the being receiving the treatment, out of true love
  49. -Rank 4 Clause: All Shall Be Well-When the Changeling makes a contract with another, this clause may be used to add (Wyrd) successes to the successful fulfilment of the contract's exact wording and impose a penalty of (Wyrd) on any parties who break its unless they are able to convince the Changeling to agree to amicably void the contract. While not completely immutable, this clause moves heaven and earth to make every possible outcome needed for the contract to come true, bestowing prosperity as a carrot and misfortune as a stick. Catch: The parties involved sincerely believe the Changeling is working to a worthy cause OR that they may profit more than the Changeling from the agreement
  50. -Rank 5 Clause: Neither Rain nor Sleet nor Outer Space-The Changeling's travel and motion is freed from the laws of physics, though he is not changed in any way. He may run upon thin air or levitate-and anything he is touching or wearing shares these benefits. Forces and laws of physics that would inhibit his motion during his passage are disabled, and he does not tire so long as this clause is activated; he remains vulnerable to matter and energy not created as a direct cause of his motion. With each step the Changeling can cover (Wyrd) miles. Ban: This clause deactivates the moment the Changeling arrives at his destination, and can only be activated with a physical destination in mind. Catch: The Changeling is delivering a message to someone they consider an employer and/or lover
