Nov 14 20:06:49 <Domovoi>	The inside of the book is as ornate as the cover - it's got gold leaf script and an old, Persian style of illumination. The beginning of the story seems to be about a king who kills his wives after one night, for fear that they will be unfaithful to him. Not very nice.

Nov 14 20:10:35 <Domovoi>	Well of course it's a good story. Pretty soon, it introduces the king's newest wife, a princess. Not merely a princess, but a magic princess kept locked in a tower all alone until her marriage. She practices all day, but never gets any better, so her family gave her away to this crazed king. Isn't that terrible?
Nov 14 20:11:30 *	ArielA suddenly becomes interested in the affairs of the princess and reads on, wondering how it turns out for her.
Nov 14 20:17:23 <Domovoi>	The princess stays at the king's palace for a few days as her marriage is finalized. There she makes friends with a guard, a retired warrior whose served the king through many wars. Though he doesn't say much, she can sense that he likes her, more than this king ever would. But she must marry the king, as her family demands it. Isn't that terrible?

Nov 14 20:23:02 <Domovoi>	The story starts to spiral and branch out. The girl knows many stories from her years of studying magic, which she tells to the king at night before they sleep. One such tale involves a talking fish said to grant wishes, but in order to truly understand that, the story winds back to a third story about a farmer. It's addicting.

Nov 14 20:29:35 <Domovoi>	<No, you don't understand.> The fish was not really a fish, you see, but a genie who had been sealed inside a jar. And he didn't really grant wishes - after being imprisoned so long, he granted only a choice of death to the man who freed him.

Nov 14 20:41:33 <Domovoi>	Closing the book is like wrestling a massive spring together, but Ariel manages to get the cover shut. Once the book is closed, it tumbles out of her hands - Ariel is laying on the floor of the aisle where she found the book. The front of her shirt has a red stain on it.

Nov 14 20:42:31 *	ArielA caughs into her hand, seeing the blood before struggling to her feet once more.  <What...happened to me?>
Nov 14 20:43:32 <Domovoi>	Well, it certainly feels like a stab wound, but a quick investigation shows no actual puncture, just a lot of blood where it shouldn't be. Mostly on Ariel's clothes and a bit on the carpet and the book itself.
