Dusty's sea shell collection was quite a sight to behold - but he usually wasn't the type to show off those sorts of secrets. Vyrus's natural affinity with water meant that he was the most likely party, and the two of them would often take long walks on the beach in an effort to grow it. Dusty was a fan of chipped, imperfect shells, as they seemed to him to be having a certain character that was more admirable than whole ones. Vyrus, of course, liked the rare few that were pitch-black or perhaps those infested by tar. It was speculated that Dusty could use a seashell as a toupee of sorts, but such an experiment was never tried.

It's possible that it all began when he became a Hatcher, as he soon learned the skill of carrying around valuable objects without damaging them. Until that point carrying around fragile shells would be all but impossible, but after lugging eggs through the wilderness Dusty's confidence in his abilities grew. His first shell was actually stolen from Diaris's gym by none other than Harley, as it had a pleasing image that somewhat resembled a swastika. Perhaps steel-types and their ilk have a natural connection to seashells??

It is difficult to say. However, things would never be the same after Daniel got a hold of them. He actually took a few and used them to make his Key Item for Mega-Evolution - fitting considering Stan Lee was a water type. Dusty never forgave Daniel for this betrayal though, and was secretly the one to organize Daniel's awful trip on the "Plot Bus" as a means of revenge. Fortunately, Daniel returned from the beach as that was where the plot bus was going at the time, which allowed him to acquire new seashells. Dusty still did not forgive Daniel but the conflict was at least settled for the time being.

Several thousand years later, a black seashell washed up on the shore of a certain beach and was reforged into a powerful hammer. Did this mean something? Was this some kind of foul destiny caused by resonance across the multiverse? We may never know. The author of this document tried to track down Vyrus to ask him, as he would be the most reliable source of information on Dusty's sea shell collection. However, the dragon could not be reached for comment.

At the very least, knowing that such a beautiful group of sea shells is out there does make the world a better place, even if wmost people will never see it. It's also fortunate that the author of this report managed to avoid being killed by Vyrus, seeing as he has a penchant for teleporting behi
