- Some Updates/Info about Crowfall for those that are interested. If you have any questions please ask them here and I will do my best to find you an answer for them. There is still a bunch more info out there but this is a quick summary of what I have researched. I'm going to start looking into the eternal world/guild/house system.
- Combat:
- 1. No tab targeting. Think Wildstar action combat.
- 2. Real collision, you can't run through players.
- 3. Projectiles can hit "accidental targets" Read Friend Fire: ON.
- 4. No "Tank/DPS/Healer" Trinity
- 5. There are no levels. Christopher read that again. No levels.
- Itemization:
- 1. PvE bosses drop ZERO loot.
- 2. Gear appears to be attainable via crafting primarily.
- 3. Gear is going to be very minimal in terms of boosts. Making it more skill based vrs gear based.
- 4. Crowfall wants to bring back dedicated crafters.
- 5. The crafting system is super indepth I need to do more research so I'll get back with ya'll on that. I mainly wanted to point out that theres ZERO gear from PvE bosses. Finally a game that gets it.
- PvE:
- 1. Go play WoW: Carebears of Draenor
- 2. Fine.
- 3. There will be monsters but they are there to increase the risk of the zone primarly.
- 4. Monsters WILL protect nodes that you need for resources, some requiring groups to kill.
- 5. There are crafting mats that are drops from monsters.
- Economy:
- 1. 2 Types of resources: Personal and Conquest.
- 2. Resources are harvested and looted. Materials come from specific PoI (lumbermill, quarry, mines, etc)
- 3. Based on location the PoI generates more/better materials.
- 4. I 'unno its a friggen economy.
- Character Creation/Advancement:
- 1. Its exactly like Alpha Omega (the greates TTRPG ever). Oh you need me to explain that... fine.
- 2. You get a certain amount of creation points. You can use these to buy stats and advantages.
- 3. You can select disadvanatages that give you creation points back to spend again.
- 4. Some races have less or more starting points. The centaur is naturally strong so he has a higher STR, but less starting character points.
- 5. You don't have any levels but you do have skills. To increase these skills you use passive training. If you have ever played EvE online its the same system.
- 6. You can use active training aswell but this only lets you do the first "tier" after which you have to to passive training. (No grinding at all King)
- 7. You can take advantages to allow you to have a higher than 100 skill. Think of it as specializing. Very SWG if anyone played that pre NGE.
