- Hackmons was easily the most popular OM there were hundreds if not thousands of people who enjoyed it. Off the top of my head I can think of ara, mico, grizz, tastic, pokermon, piccolo, manu, trambo, apateonas, sil tojara, doolez, karoooh, kirbles, turkoiz, DEMcKnight, Feebas, Druides, Torean, Maroon 6, ApplePieFTW, arkeis, McDarkness, card1n4, Dark Souls, Rainbow 6: Vegas, Ransei, Fail, Ronaldo test, Zayn Sucks, and myself. I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting and they may not all miss it as much as I do, though some have told me they do. That is just a list of players who I remember because they were good, there were far more players who played it more casually and whose names I don't remember, but there is no reason to believe they didn't like it and don't miss it. I like hackmons because it takes pokemon battles to the limits of possibility and can be surprisingly strategic. It seems to have been removed because TI and the owners of the OM room and other admin feel it was a bad metagame. Admittedly it was a better metagame gen 5, but I am of the opinion that most of the people who think it is bad don't fully understand it. Very few of its detractors really learned how to play. Often they will talk of how the people who played it were bad and said it was a "shitty ladder." But like most ladders it had a wide variety of skill from top to bottom. Also I think this criticism misses the fact that many of the hackmons players just wanted to see something interesting work or were just looking to have fun or perhaps set up a sweep with their favorite pokemon. The ladder provided a place for both the competitive players and those just looking to have a good time. If you could help bring the ladder back that would be great, but if not, I for one would like to see there be a version of hackmons on challenge that is true to the in game mechanics (the team preveiw and ev cap changes the bh just incorporated). Thank you for giving me this opportunity to state my case.
