[2013-02-16 01:15:39] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 Our group of heroes had recently delved into the ruins of the group's more scientific pony's home in hopes of finding something worthwile. So far they had avoided a trap and seen a glimpse of the work of Screw-Loose amidst the blackened walls.
[2013-02-16 01:17:15] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 Now in a room with three exits - one being their entry - they had a choice where to go next. Either check the closed door on one corner or the door an augmented rat went through in another.
[2013-02-16 01:17:19] * Comet_Blaze moved through the large-ish room, picking over the scattered remains. "What did you -do- to blow this place up, anyway?"
[2013-02-16 01:17:43] * LuckyLeaf calls her slaves back alongside her now that the place is safe. She wonders about the laboratory. "I must say all of this is quite impressive. I didn't expect anything so elaborate. Shame it is in such state."

[2013-02-16 01:18:19] * Kichaka sticks near Comet, rather frightened by the lab
[2013-02-16 01:20:27] * Screw-Loose grumbles. "I was testing out a new generator. Didn't expect it to blow half my lab to Tarturus though. Okay rat, I'm going to get you!" Screw-Loose then trots after where the rat went.

[2013-02-16 01:23:11] * Silky_Shackles presses her lips in worry. She goes after Screw-Loose, just in case.
[2013-02-16 01:25:28] * Comet_Blaze blinks and follows after Screw Loose. She knew what the lab was like inside, right? "And you didn't bother with any emergency cut-offs or starting with small models before building larger ones..?" That... Was not reassuring.
[2013-02-16 01:25:29] * Gearhead sighs as she watches Screw-Loose chase after the rat and follows
[2013-02-16 01:27:28] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 The group walks into a square room, with more shelves adorning the walls - and floor. One of the doors - the right one - is sealed off by a caved-in ceiling, while the door across it is still open. A terminal is embedded to the wall next to the door.
[2013-02-16 01:27:33] <Screw-Loose> "I was starting off with small scale tests. It just had a far higher energy density then most generators."
[2013-02-16 01:27:46] * Silky_Shackles ponders. "That is a good poing. It could have prevented this... disaster."
[2013-02-16 01:28:27] * Screw-Loose approaches the terminal and trys to log in.
[2013-02-16 01:28:31] * Comet_Blaze sighs and shakes her head. "Yeah, more like a bomb..." She moves through the room looking at the shelves curiously.
[2013-02-16 01:29:05] * Silky_Shackles picks a piece of rubble. "And not just any bomb..."
[2013-02-16 01:31:46] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 As Screw's first tap of the key registers to the terminal, it starts to crackle and whizz. The science unicorn manages to step away from the terminal before its screen blows up to her face directly.
[2013-02-16 01:32:50] * Screw-Loose facehooves. "Why did I even bother building this lab? WHY?!" She shouts at the terminal.
[2013-02-16 01:33:10] * Comet_Blaze trots up behind Screw Loose, peering at the exploded screen. "you're a big fan of fireworks?"
[2013-02-16 01:33:11] * Silky_Shackles trots to her. "Are you alright?"
[2013-02-16 01:33:39] * Gearhead examines the computer. "Is it possible you aren't at fault for this?"
[2013-02-16 01:33:55] * Kichaka flinches at the explosion, but quickly recovers. She tentatively approaches the group surrounding the empty hull of the terminal.
[2013-02-16 01:34:53] * Screw-Loose shakes her head. "Right, more traps, why was this a good idea to place this again?"
[2013-02-16 01:35:49] * Comet_Blaze taps her chin. "Maybe someone else has moved in here since the explosion? Someone hoping to catch scavengers..?" She glances back towards the entrance then up to the ceiling. "Don't like it. Enclosed spaces, few escape routes, exploding terminals? Smells like a trap."
[2013-02-16 01:36:23] <Gearhead> "Trap is correct, perhaps nosy ponies such as yourself would fall for it?"
[2013-02-16 01:36:34] * Silky_Shackles looks back; "But who would set it?"
[2013-02-16 01:37:16] * Screw-Loose looks about, trying to spot where the rat scampered off to
[2013-02-16 01:38:01] * Silky_Shackles trots back, looking through the hallways

[2013-02-16 01:40:05] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 Considering there's only two open exits from the room, it doesn't take a wasteland scientist to deduce the route of the rat as it is nowhere to be seen in the midst of the debris of this room.
[2013-02-16 01:41:34] * Screw-Loose pushes onward, her eyes now scanning for more of her traps. "Really, I was so eager to test my skills that I seem to have gone and made my life a living minefield. Very smart Screw, very smart."
[2013-02-16 01:42:35] <Gearhead> "Well In retrospect it would have seemed like a good idea against looters."
[2013-02-16 01:42:49] * Comet_Blaze pats Screw's shoulder. "hey, it could be worse. ... ... ... Okay, I got nothing. But at least your lab isn't haunted, or cursed, or infested with aliens or something. So that's a positive, right?" She moved towards the open door to check inside before stepping through.
[2013-02-16 01:44:24] * Screw-Loose ponders that. "Say, would aliens even want to visit this hell hole? Okay, maybe as a source of free lab resources I guess it would make sense, but somehow I'd doubt they'd lift a bunch of ponies of the ground, ya know?"
[2013-02-16 01:47:17] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 The next room is a long and wide, more like a hallway. Right on the right-hoof side of the wall is another terminal, and three turrets stand in the middle of the room, making slight beeps as they scan the surroundings. Apparently the group is just out of their scanning radius.
[2013-02-16 01:48:16] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 The walls are lined with blueprints for various experimens on augmentations, rat and pony anatomy as well as plans for a new power supply.
[2013-02-16 01:49:29] * Gearhead looks ahead at the turrents. "This is Rather bad."
[2013-02-16 01:50:04] * Screw-Loose sighs. "guess I'll have to turn them off, now lets see if I can remember this password."
[2013-02-16 01:51:00] * Comet_Blaze frowns. "Assuming they don't register you as an enemy. Whomever rigged up that explosive might have sabotaged them." The pegasus moved around to get in position for a clean shot, ready to fire if Screw Loose was attacked.
[2013-02-16 01:52:58] * Screw-Loose concentrates, then with a purple flash dissapears. Her target is just infront of the terminal.

[2013-02-16 01:54:41] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 As Screw pops up in front of the terminal, the turrets give a few bleeps and... continue their scanning.
[2013-02-16 01:55:39] * Screw-Loose breaths a small sigh of relief, then trys to log in.
[2013-02-16 01:59:23] * Comet_Blaze keeps a close watch despite their relative inaction. Who knew what might happen when Screw tried to log in...
[2013-02-16 02:02:56] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 Screw taps in the correct password and is greeted with the commands to the guarding sentries in the room, amongst them the reconfiguration of targeting parameters as well as shutdown.
[2013-02-16 02:04:26] * Screw-Loose shuts turrets down, then trys to reconfigure their targetting perameters to not hit her new friends.
[2013-02-16 02:18:48] <Waak|Overcolt> 06 While Screw-Loose taps away with the terminal with prowess, Silky joins the group at the doorway.
[2013-02-16 02:21:05] <Silky_Shackles> "No sign of ambush on the outside. What is going on here? Is it safe?"
[2013-02-16 02:25:16] * Comet_Blaze headed through the door once the turrets were shut down, checking around the room for any sign of other intruders recently. "Maybe your lab rats have learned how to sabotage terminals?"
