You whisper to DNA: Brandon also left you with a TBM (Technical Book Machine).
DNA whispers: Do tell
You whisper to DNA: it doesn't have a description other than a note, "For your talking Kirlia to help it against type disadvantages."
DNA whispers: how is it used?
You whisper to DNA: same way as a TM. It looks like a normal TM too.
DNA whispers: But shouldn't I be able to know what it does? or only the function thereof?
You whisper to DNA: It teaches a set of moves instead of one, typically.
DNA whispers: And who's it compatible with? Speaking of which, who in my party can learn Cosmic Power?
You whisper to DNA: THAT you'll need to experiment but you can ask people in-game about it. As far as the TBM, the only one you know of so far is Grace, according to the note.

DNA:
And Ray still has the cute picture. Lovable little guy.
Andy:

Boxes up to date.

Narrator:
Last time, Team Oak had managed to make it out of the Viridian Forest, through Route 3 and into Pewter City. There, they found their way to the Pokémon Center to heal their Pokémon except Venec who became pre-occupied by a Buneary. Cepheus and Kia also did battle against Trainers Danielle and Brandon, emerging victorious. Welcome to the World of Pokémon!
DNA:
Cepheus' first order of business was, no doubt, to heal up his team completely. Half his team was out of commission and the rest were all hurting - save for the lousy Jupiter, but no one cares about him right now.

Narrator:
You find that Nurse Joy inside of the Pokémon Center was currently occupied with a vid-call. She wasn't exactly being quiet about her conversation so eaves-dropping was quite easy.
DNA is disconnected.
Andy:
Kia made her way back into the pokemon center as well in hopes of getting her team healed.
DNA has connected.
* Ramora Remora walked up to the counter beside Ceph and placed his pokeballs on the counter.

Blaze:
Blaze loses 0 hit points.

Nurse Joy:
"Do you think she's alright? She took all her stuff with her though, right? She didn't just run away?" Joy was talking to another Joy on the vid-phone.

Bolt:
Bolt loses 0 hit points.

Venec:
Venec sees if the the buneary will let him pet it.
DNA:
"Venec, what have you been up to lately?"
* Nurse Joy takes notice of the customers behind her, "I have to go, but keep me updated, alright, sis?"
Kaorin Sakura:
Venec is currently half a town away from you.
DNA:
Never mind then.
DNA:
Cepheus decided to take a shot in the dark, "Let me guess, it's about that 13-year-old nurse in Viridian."

Nurse Joy:
"Need some healing for your Pokémon?"
DNA:
"And yes please, that would be nice."
Ramora is disconnected.
Ramora has connected.
* Buneary doesn't move and smiles up at you.
Kia:
“My team also needs healed again.” Kia places her pokeballs on the counter next to the other’s.
Ramora:
"I just have 4, so if theres room you can heal hers with mines. I don't mind."
* Nurse Joy takes all of your Pokémon, steps over to a healing machine, prods the balls on top of it, waits a few moments and returns them to all of you, "There you are and yes, my niece Irian seems to have vanished this morning. It's troubling, but she took all her gear with her so we know she left on her own."

Venec:
Venec then pet the Buneary, "Hello, I'm on my way to the pokemon center. Do you want to come with me?" He held out a pokeball.
DNA:
Cepheus returned all his Poke Balls to his belt. "Oddly enough that doesn't take me much by surprise. Either way, I have a feeling I know where she's going...and that she'll be perfectly safe when she gets there."
Kaorin Sakura:
The Buneary tilts its head with a static smile on its face, almost painted on with how it didn't move.

Nurse Joy:
"Where would that be?"
DNA:
"Irian's currently taken with one of the members of our party. He's not with us right now but he should be meeting up with us soon. I'm guessing Irian's looking for him, and when she finds him, she'll stay with him, and by extension, us."
Ramora is disconnected.
Ramora has connected.
DNA:
He made a motion to his group. Apparently Danny was lying unwell in bed or something, which meant that Cepheus would have to assume leadership position for a while.
DNA:
At least there wouldn't be any INTENTIONAL attempts at loss of one's own life.

Nurse Joy:
"She hasn't started her Pokémon Journey yet, so that's what I assumed it was, but if it's love that's both a blessing and troubling."
Ramora:
Ramora is healed and gains 25 hit points.
DNA:
(Blessing for her, trouble for us,) Cepheus thought to himself, but didn't dare say out loud.
DNA:
"I see what you mean," he said instead.
Ramora is disconnected.

Nurse Joy:
"Not quite...But I'm sure all will be revealed in time. If the love blossoms that is."
Ramora has connected.

Nurse Joy:
"Anyhow! Can I do anything else for you?"
DNA:
"That'll be something we'll all be waiting for, it seems. Also, can you direct us to where the mart is here?"

Nurse Joy:
"Mart...?"

Ramora:
Ramora loses 25 hit points.

Nurse Joy:
"I guess you mean the Poké'Care and Trainer Care shops?"
DNA:
"Yeah, I do. Sorry, they just call them marts back home."

Parasect:
Parasect is healed and gains 38 hit points.

Venec:
Venec sat awkwardly in front of the pokemon. He knew he could punch it in the face and then hit it with the ball. He knew that's how catching pokemon worked. But after the attempt to befriend it, it wouldn't be right just to turn around and attack it. Almost a full minute of silence passed between Venec and the pokemon, both staring.
Kaorin Sakura:
Buneary nuzzles your leg, looking up at you expectantly.

Lala:
Lala loses 0 hit points.

Nurse Joy:
"it's across the river. The blue building. Be careful though. Well, it's mid-day so I guess it's not a problem now. The water should be fine. It's toxic during the mornings oddly...just take the bridge to be safe."
DNA:
"Will do; thank you."
* Ramora walks over to the pc machine and puts a pokeball in, switching out a pokemon from his main team.
DNA:
Cepheus then released Jupiter and Grace from their Poke Balls for fresh air. (They were both his favorites.) Then to his companions, "I'll be at the mart for a short while; I'll be back shortly."
Kia:
Kia smiled and began to turn around to leave after quietly listening to the exchange. “Yes, thank you for everything! Actually Cepheus I might accompany you to the mart. There are a few thing’s I’d like to pick up as well.”
DNA:
"All right; let's go then. Ready whenever you are."
* Grace looks up to Kia curiously.
Kia:
"We are ready!" She smiled as she brieftly looked up at slakoth on her shoulder and began to follow Cepheus.

Grace:
"Do you like Ceph-chan, Kia-kun?"
DNA:
"...How come I'm only a -chan and she gets a -kun?"
Kaorin Sakura:
The Slakoth lifts itself from Kia's shoulders and floats oddly behind her.

Grace:
"Because you're cute and personal."
DNA:
"I...no comment," Cepheus responded. Jupiter was giggling.
Kia:
Kia tilts her head curiously at Grace's comment. "of course I like Cepheus! He is a great friend!"

Venec:
"Hmmm... do you want to come train with me?" Venec asked, "I don't have any more food right now." Venec glanced aside at the jigglypuff not to far away, wondering what the other pokemon was thinking. In the silence Venec could swear he heard the Murkrow cawing in the distance.

Grace:
"Totally not what I was...nah, nevermind. You're too into quadrapeds to like Ceph-chan."
DNA:
"Grace, don't be rude..."
Kia:
"Huh?" Kia tilted her head confused. " What do you mean by that..."
DNA:
"She's asking if you have a crush on me," Cepheus decided to cut straight to the point.
Kaorin Sakura:
Buneary fell into line behind Venec, assuming the role of follower.

Venec:
Venec stood up dramatically, taking whatever victory he could get, "Well we should go to the pokemon center and heal up!" he announced.
Kaorin Sakura:
Jigglypuff however, was paying no attention to Venec and the others.

Buneary:
"Bnuu bnuu!!"
* Buneary imitates Venec's pose.
* Ramora after retrieving the new addition to his team Ramora walks out of the pokemon center.
Kia:
"A crrush...on Cepheus?" Kia blushed a little. In truth there had only been one boy in her life that she had ever had a crush on, and he had left for his pokemon journey month's before her. "No Cepheuus is just a friend...not only that..he is a bit old..."
Kaorin Sakura:
Venec walks past Ramora into the Pokémon Center.
DNA:
At least SOMEONE realized the giant age gap.
Kia:
"No offense Cepheus." Kia stuck out her tongue at him.

Venec:
Venec made his way to the pokemon center, only waving to his friends as he sees them leave.
DNA:
A brief sigh of relief passed over Cepheus' face, but unfortunately Grace wouldn't be so easily deterred, he assumed.
DNA:
"None taken whatsoever."

Grace:
"Pokémon don't notice age like Humans so I can't say i can tell."
Ramora:
"Guess it's time to test our strength." He said after sending out Cirrus.
DNA:
"...Wouldn't the relative heights be a bit of a hint, Grace?"

Grace:
"Why? I've come across really old short guys and girls."
DNA:
"After a certain point, humans stop growing and actually start regressing. Probably because their bodies can't handle growth anymore."
DNA:
"...I
DNA:
'm not a scientist so I don't know the exact reason, but it's something like that."

Venec:
"Hey guys, I made a friend on the way." He looked down at the strange buneary.
Kia:
Feeling a bit awkward from the exchange, Kia went to turn to her slakoth only to find him floating. "Welll...that is a bit odd..." She smiled at Novis. "You are just full of surprises"
DNA:
"Buneary, eh? It seems to have taken a liking to you."

Venec:
"I hope. I technicaly haven't caught her yet. Or this skitty."
DNA:
"And your Slakoth...I think I've figured out what its hybrid type is."
DNA:
"From the looks of it, I think it's Ghost."
Kia:
" Aww it's so cute." Kia briefly looked down at the creature before turning back to Cepheus and nodding. "I suppose that would make sense."

Grace:
"It's a Ghost type. I can feel it and good that Kia-kun doesn't like Ceph-chan."

Venec:
(Huh, nevermind, nowhere near you guys, that was retroactively said in passing before Venec hurried along)
DNA:
(Yeah, because you don't want anyone getting in your way,) he thought. He wouldn't say it aloud...and then right after he thought that, he realized: it didn't matter.
* Ramora begins his walk to the gym.
DNA:
Now, time to enter the shop and peruse their wares.
Kaorin Sakura:
When you enter the shop, you find that it's split in colouration from one side of the store to the next, one having obvious Human items and the other having Pokémon items.
Kaorin Sakura:
Ranging from weapons, armour, TMs, healing items, Pokéballs, mechanical equipment, medical kits, poffin cases, berry bushes, etc.
DNA:
Cepheus decided to look at the human side first, and let Jupiter and Grace look at the other end of the story.
DNA:
(Berry bushes? Like, portable plants?)
Kia:
"Well.." Kia rummaged through her bag and pulled out the premiere ball. "Here Novis...this is for you. I prromise I will let you back out after you get checked out by the Professor. And then maybe one day you can participate in a battle like the one you just witnessed." She held the premiere ball up to him.
Kaorin Sakura:
Like a section solely of plants of various kinds in pots.

Venec:
Venec walked into the center and looked for the nurse.
Kaorin Sakura:
Slakoth enters the ball willingly and in a flash of light, the ball vanishes.
Kaorin Sakura:
Everyone's Pokédex shortly thereafter vibrates with a +1000¥ notification to their accounts.
Kia:
Now that Slakoth was officially captured, Kia entered the pokemart and also begin to browse the humanside.

Nurse Joy:
"Can I help you?"

Jupiter:
"Ooh, accumulated interest! Raking in the money now!"
DNA:
"...Weren't you just at th-wait, you all look the same, I forgot. What specials do you have going on right now?"

Venec:
"Yes, my pokemon need a check-up and I found this skitty being attacked in the Viridian forest, I was hoping I could get her a check up too."
Kaorin Sakura:
Joy is in the PokéMon Center, not the Mart.

Nurse Joy:
"I'll heal all of them for you, but the Skitty could potentially cause problems. I'll heal it with some potions instead and leave it up to you what to do with it."

Venec:
"Alright, thank you." Venec handed over his pokemon
* Nurse Joy takes Venec's Pokémon and heals them quickly, applying potion sprays onto the Skitty until it was fully healthy but still unconscious.
DNA:
(oh)
DNA:
(in that case i'm just going to ask the attendant)
Ramora:
"I wonder how this works Cirrus. Do I just walk in and challenge the leader or is there more to it?" He look'd down at cirrus after stopping infront of the gym, hesistant.
You whisper to Ramora: wisdom check.

Venec:
"Thanks again, is there a video phone of some sort?"
Ramora whispers: /roll 1D20-1
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: Specials? Well..we have a shipment of Unknown Pokémon eggs right now selling for 675¥.

Nurse Joy:
"Right next to the PC's."
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: Not the whole shipment mind you. Per.

Venec:
"Thank you." Venec gave a quick bow and rushed over to the phone, looking up Prof. Oak's number to give him a call.
Ramora whispers: « 1D20-1 = 1 - 1 = 0 »
Kia:
As Kia browses the sections she immediately goes over to the human medical section so that she can pick up 3 containers of LumLum juice. After doing that she makes her way over to the pokemon section where she precedes to pick um the TM's Flash and Grass knot, along with a 4 Great Balls. "I hope I have enough money for all of this..." Thoughtful Kia makes her way to the counter.
Ramora whispers: dumb as a doornail.
You whisper to Ramora: Continue nromally.
DNA:
"Do you know what's in these eggs or no?"
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: No. Hence the unknown part.

Layla:
Layla loses 0 hit points.

Skitty:
Skitty loses 0 hit points.
* Ramora shrugs it off with a smile, determined to be one step closer to finding his mom. He walks up to the building and walks inside.
DNA:
"Got it. Any other specials or no?"
Kia:
Hearing Cepheus and the attendant talk about egg's, Kia quietly listens slightly intriguedd at the thought of another egg, but wanting to make sure she covered the basic's first.
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: The Greatballs come up to 2400¥. Lum Lum Juices are 1050¥

Venec:
Venec remembered the Poochyena he caught the day before, and touched a pokeball to the skitty.
Kaorin Sakura:
.Attendant: That's it for specials I suppose.
DNA:
"Great Balls are 2400 apiece?"
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: Total. She has 4.
DNA:
(whoops)
Kaorin Sakura:
The Pokéball touches Skitty and is absorbed in it. Within moments after a few shaking the ball vanishes.
DNA:
"All right, thank you very much. I'll peruse around the store for some things and see what I find."
DNA:
First things first, find Jupiter and Grace and make sure they weren't breaking anything.
You whisper to Ramora: You'll have to wait a moment.
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: Flash is 1500¥.

Venec:
Venec looked down at the Buneary and held out a heal ball, "Do you want me to catch you too?"
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: Grass Knot is 2900¥
Kaorin Sakura:
Buneary looks up at Venec and stares with a static smile. It's ears twitch slightly from time to time.
Kia:
Kia nods adding everything up in her head. " It seems I have more than I can buy...." Put's away two great balls and one lumlum juice. "Alright I think that is better."
* Grace hasn't left Cepheus' side.
DNA:
(not surprising, but Jupiter's probably looking at some shelves)

Venec:
Venec tried touching the heal ball to the buneary, seeing if it would accept the capture.
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: That'll be 6900¥, ma'am.
Kaorin Sakura:
Buneary didn't move and essentially accepted the capture.
Kaorin Sakura:
WIthin moments the Pokéball vanishes!
Kia:
"Hmm seem's I'm still off..." Kia puts away one more Great Ball.
Kaorin Sakura:
Attendant: 6300¥.
Kia:
"Perfect!" Kia hands the Attendant 6.300 and stuffs the items into her bag.
Kaorin Sakura:
The attendant smiles and finalizes the trade.
Kaorin Sakura:
Ramora finds himself in an eerily dark building. It's almost impossible to see.
Venec:
Venec used the PC to switch out Luna the Happiny and May the Vulpix with Buneary and Ponyta. Then he sits down by the phone and tries giving Prof. Oak a call.
Kaorin Sakura:
Oak answers the phone shortly, "Ah, Venec. Nice to see you again. Where's the rest of the group?"
* Ramora squints his eyes trying to make out anything but can't. He sighs and releases charmander to give the room alittle light.
Venec:
"They're out shopping. I"ve just been catching so many pokemon- I mean! I've caught so many more than I expected I would like to know where they are and how they're doing."
DNA:
Cepheus had this odd urge to go after the legendary Pokemon in Mt. Moon, but he didn't want to break the bank. He checked to see if he was eligible to buy any Ultra Balls, plus whatever TMs were available.
Kaorin Sakura:
Oak, "They're getting accustomed to the place. I'm actually glad you've been catching so many! This is astounding for data upgrades to the Pokédex! And the Slakoth is remarkable! The first Normal/Ghost type I've ever seen!"
Kaorin Sakura:
Ultra Balls are visible and TMs 01-95 are available.
Venec:
"I wasn't there for the slakoth." Venec frowned, "I did catch a Victini though!"
Kaorin Sakura:
The light from Charmander illuminates a large arena with five people around a throne at the highest spectator spot.
DNA:
Cepheus checked the price tags for TMs: 30, 57, and 61.
Kaorin Sakura:
Oak, "Yes, your Pokédex told me so and I have your Virizion here with me. Remarkable Pokémon. I've been studying it in my spare time but I haven't learned anything outside of what's commonly known yet. She's still reclusive at the moment."
Ramora:
"Ummm. Is this the gym?" He asks out loud, stepping towards the throne.
Kia:
Kia gave a short wave to Cepheus as she noticed he was still shopping. "Cepheus I think I am going to head back to the pokemon center and check out the board there. After that I might try to go to the museum..."
Kaorin Sakura:
2700, 2300 and 2200 respectively.
DNA:
"Oh right, I hav ebeen meaning to head to the museum! I'll be there shortly after I finish up here."

Carlos:
"This is the Stygian Gym." The voice resounded from the spectator spot.

Venec:
Venec laughed sheepishly, "Eh-heh... we sort of ambushed her while she tried to run away. And unlike Victini I didn't have a friend ball on hand to help say sorry."
DNA:
he decided to take the TM57 plus 2 Ultra Balls and 2 Great Balls up with him to the front counter. That would total 5900, which would leave him with just a little bit left over.
Kia:
"Alright! I guess I'll see you there!" Kia tuuned and left the mart and began to walk back over to the pokemon center. On the way there she decided to let out Artemis to check out her new evolution a little bit more.
Kaorin Sakura:
Correct on 5900.
Ramora:
"I'd like to challenge the leader." He shouted back.
DNA:
"Thank you very much," he said, purchasing the items and then departing.
DNA:
Then, "Hey Grace, I have some new TMs for you that I think you might like."

Carlos:
"That would be me."
DNA:
Of course, Jupiter butted in with a "Me first!" look and stared at Cepheus expectantly.
* Carlos stood up from the throne and made his way down to the center of the Arena, "Familiar with the Stygian rules, kid?"
DNA:
"...Fine, I have one for you too, Jupiter. Charge Beam."

Grace:
"What'd you get?"
DNA:
"Charge Beam, plus two others I found a few days ago."
DNA:
Jupiter wouldn't get out of Cepheus' hair until he got his special move, so Cepheus just administered the shot to Jupiter, who looked happy. CHARGE BEAM GET
Ramora:
"alright... So ummm.. How does this work exactly?" He found himself scratching the back of his head again.
DNA:
"One of them is Cosmic Power, which you might or might not be able to use; the other is a set that Brandon gave me that you should be able to use."
Kaorin Sakura:
It works like in Pokémon Electric Tale of Pikachu. It's not a shot, it's an impulse to the nervous system.
DNA:
The pictures in the player's handbook were hypodermic needles, so I went by that

Carlos:
"First time, then? Alright, here's how it works."

Carlos:
"You can face me one on one or with a group as many as six total."

Carlos:
"In this Gym, we go by survival of the fittest, in whatever means required."
DNA:
"Grace, I believe you should be able to learn Charge Beam just fine, so here you go."

Carlos:
"The Trainers are in the battle with their Pokémon."
Kia:
As Artemis came out in a flash of white Kia couldn't help but to beam over her new form which was bit taller. "Art congrats on your evolution! You've never looked stronger! " She gently took Artemis muzzle in her hand and embraced teh pokemon in a light hug. " It's amazing how much we both have grown within the last coouple of days. Leaving home s the best decision that either one of us could of made."
DNA:
"As for Cosmic Power, I'm not sure." He attempts to use Cosmic Power on Grace to see what result happens.

Carlos:
"Unlike the typical league rules, you fight to win with no holds barred. Pokémon utilization are key, but aren't the victory conditions. The Trainer is. Once the Trainer is knocked out, the match is won. Just be careful not to get killed."
Ramora:
"ok then.. 3 on 3." He was hesistant again. this survival of the fitest didn't sound to friendly.
Kaorin Sakura:
Cosmic Power succeeds.

Carlos:
"Seems you misunderstood, that was reference for allied Trainers. It's six on six. But if you don't have six, I still use six. It may be best to go catch and train some more if you're lacking in numbers."
DNA:
"As for this one, Brandon gave it to me. He said it had several moves and it should work on you." And thus he attempted to use it on Grace.
Ramora:
"Oh. then 1 on 1 works for me."
Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus uses a Technical Book Machine on Grace.
Kaorin Sakura:
whisper DNA Grace learns: Blaze Kick, Double Kick, Mega Kick, Jump Kick, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Shadow Punch, Mach Punch and Comet Punch.
Kaorin Sakura:

Ramora:

Carlos:
"One on one it is."
DNA:
"That's ...well, I'm not sure what to say. I don't see you as much of a brawler, Grace."
You whisper to Ramora: Due to the Gym being in total darkness, you'll need to wait to challenge him as darkness applies to everyone.

Venec:
"Well, I don't want to keep you too busy, I have some new pokemon on my team to introduce myself to." Venec said his goodbye and hung up the phone. He walked outside, returned Layla and sent out Ponyta and Buneary.
Kia:
Kia nodded her head tthoughtfully. "Every day I am learning somethign new. Maybe one day, Dad really will finaly see as capable of taking of the business. I am finally starting to see why he sent us on this journey." Still full of thoughts, Kia and Artemis make their way into the pokemon center and begin to look around for the board with current events.
DNA:
Cepheus salvages the broken shell of the TBM to see if it can be repaired later.
Kia:

Kaorin Sakura:
Venec passes Kia as he exits and she enters.

Venec:
"Hey, were are you headed?"
Kia:
"Hey we were just about to check out the board, and then prehaps go tothe musuem. What about you?"

Venec:
"I was going to get to know my pokemon for now, then meet up with everyone else.
Kia:
" I just spent all of my cash...so I wouldn't mind earning some more." Kia nodded. " Well going to the museum shouldn't take to long...did you want to joinn us there?"
DNA:
"All right you two; let's head to the museum."
* Grace nods.

Venec:
"Houndoom? When did that happen?"
Kia:
Kia smiled proudly. "While you were off making a new friend,, Cepheus and I had a double battle, and she evolved during it!"

Venec:
"That's great! Layla hasn't evolved yet, but I hear that her evolution has a harder time learning things, so that might be for the best."
Kia:
Kia nodded understandingly. "I'm sure she will evolve when she is ready. I actually don't know much about Artemis's new form. In fact, I was just about to do that." She took out her pokedex and scanned Art.

Venec:
Venec sent out his two newest pokemon.

"That's harsh." Venec commented.
Kaorin Sakura:
When Cepheus enters the museum, you are quickly viewing many different fossils of large, ancient and legendary Pokémon. A scientist sits over by the welcoming desk, oblivious of your arrival.
DNA:
(Wow, this is all very impressive. I think I might remember some of these from the folk tales I grew up with...)
Kia:
"That sounds pleasant...." As she spoke she simply shook her head sending a sheepish smile. "Although I know you would never burn me...right girl?" Kia nodded her head in agreement. "That is harsh...maybe the pokedex is just exaggerating." Kia smiled over at Venec's new pokemon. " Well we are heading out to the museum now...hopefully Cepheus hasn't made it there yet. See you in a bit?" Kia began to trudge toward's thhe museum with Artemis at her side.

Venec:
"Alright... What kind of names should I give you guys." Venec asked, looking at his new team mates. "Hm? Oh yeah, I'll come with."
* Grace finds herself looking at a picture of Arceus. The one sighting that had been caught on photo during its assault on Palkia, Dialga and Giratina.
DNA:
"Something about that picture strike your fancy?" Cepheus said, walking up slowly behind her.
Kia:
Kia begin to sheepishly scratch the back of her head. "now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I even know where the museum is..." but as she spoke she noticed Venec start to walk and rushed off to follow him. "Atleast you know where your going."

Grace:
"Looks familiar. But it looks strong right, right? What does your Pokédex say?"
DNA:
"I'm not sure if the Pokedex works on non-living things, but let's try it." Cepheus shone his Pokedex on the picture.

Venec:
"I think I saw it on the way in. Either that or the Gym. I split off from you guys right away looking for pokemon."

Grace:
"Arceus, the Alpha Pokémon. Omni-type Pokémon. It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world."
Kaorin Sakura:
Totally not said by Grace.
DNA:
"Omni-Type, hmm..." Cepheus said, his voice trailing off. His eyes fell down to his right wrist, looking at the bronze band affixed thereon.

Grace:
"A lie. There's no way it could be every type."
DNA:
The wristband...the wheel about Arceus' chest - they were the same shape. "...And why do you say there's no way, Grace?"
* Grace suddenly turned around and looked at the front door.

Grace:
"Venni-san's here. And Kia-kun."
DNA:
"Venni? Oh, Venec. Hello both of you."

Grace:
"Because it's just impossible? There's no way one Pokémon could be every type. Even the God of Space and Time are only two types."
DNA:
(Great, now she goes one step further and leaves me with -chan still...

Grace:
"Although I totally don't agree with the God portion."
DNA:
"...I'd always grown up with the notion that, because they controlled space and time, they were effectively godlike, and that Arceus possessed omnipotence. Thus, it isn't hard for me to imagine that Arceus can be multiple - or even every - type."

Venec:
Venec walked up at the moment, "Funny, I grew up hearing all pokemon decended from Mew."

"Celebi, right. Wouldn't that make Celebi or the God of Time, the first Pokémon?"

"No, that's stupid."
DNA:
"From what I remember, Arceus here created the three others in the picture. They reside in a place outside of the universe, and until they were created, space-time basically didn't exist."
DNA:
"Thus, since Arceus existed before time, it wouldn't be possible for anything to exist before he did."

Grace:
"Created or gave birth?"

Grace:
"Because I can give birth to Humans or Ghosts, but that doesn't mean I can perform what they can."
DNA:
"...Created. Then again, I've been away from home for 5 years so my memory on the subject is a bit haz-wait, you can give birth to humans?"

Grace:
"So, it's not to say it can do what they can, like time travel."
* Grace pokes Venec.

"Ah yeah, you're from Shinnoh, right?" Venec asked, "I never put much stock in Shinnoh myth." Venec shrugged to Grace and said "alright," but he was getting kind of lost.
DNA:
"Yeah; I was born and raised in Shinou."
* Grace narrowed her eyes at Venec with intense passion.

Feelling tension from the discussioin and that it was time for a new topic she turned to Cepheus. " So did you find someone who is able to reanimate our fossils?"

"Still looking for him, actually."

"There's probably a museum map we can look around for in here."

"Would he do, Ceph-chan?"
* Grace turns to Venec.
DNA:
"Let's find out."

Kia wander's over to Jupiter who apparently had found a map.
Venec whispers: Sakura "I didn't think she was at all..." Venec said, equally confused.
DNA:
"Excuse me sir; would you know anyone who's capable of reanimating Pokemon Fossils?"

Venec stared back at Grace with a blank expression.

Grace:
"I know, but I was qualming your suspicions."
Kaorin Sakura:
Scientist: "Fossils, where?!"

Jupiter:
He'd apparently found a directory of the whole museum, and he looked very pleased with himself.
Kaorin Sakura:
The Scientist stood up befre looking over at the group, "Ah, right. Are you here about the posting for legendary reanimation or are you here for services?"
DNA:
"...The latter, but what's this about legendary re-animation?"
Kaorin Sakura:
"I put it on the board."
DNA:
"All right. As for the normal re-animation, where can I find that?"
Kia:
"Both. "Kia offered a smile at the scientist and held out her root fossil. 'Mainly here for reanimation, but I was also wondering about the loaction of the secret passageway. Do you have any other information on it other than it is behind the waterfall?"
Kaorin Sakura:
The Scientist stands proud, "Here. Rigth here. Me."
Kaorin Sakura:
The Scientist looks over her Root Fossil and nods, "Ah, that'll be 3000¥ for reanimation and it'll take a day. But as for location, no."
DNA:
"3000 per fossil, you say?"
Kia:
Kia turns to Cepheus so that she could explain more. "Apparently there is a secret passway behind the waterfall that the scienstist can't find, and inside that passway an legendarry fossil can be found."
Kaorin Sakura:
"Yes."
Kia:
Kia scrathces her head sheepishly and puts the fossil away. "I guess I will have to pass for now. "
DNA:
"Argh, I don't have that kind of money on me right now, unfortunately; I just bought several things for my journey." Then to Kia: "There's a waterfall by the Pokemon Center."
Kia:
"The musuem said they would pay handsomely if we brought it back. Want to go check it out?"

"Handsomely!"

"Oodles and oodles of rewards."
Kaorin Sakura:
"Or one reward. Your choice. Negotioable."
DNA:
"Somehow I lack confidence in this. However, it's better than nothing, so why not take a look?"

"By the way, Grace, where did you say Joy was?"

"Joy?" Grace looks around for a moment, "The Pokémon Ce---vanished!"
* Grace flaps her arms wildly in utter confusion.

"A Human just vanished!"
Kia:
"Hmm..maybe she used Teleport."
Kaorin Sakura:
The Scientist looks over at Grace before turning to the whole team, "What's your Pokémon trying to say? Seems hyperactive."
DNA:
"...She isn't trying to say anything. She clearly just said a human vanished."

Grace:
"A who and a what now? I'm speaking your Human tongue."
DNA:
He put the emphasis on the word "trying". She wasn't trying; she was succeeding.
Kaorin Sakura:
"Oh, so you can understand it? That must take serious effort." The Scientist nodded to himself.
DNA:
"...She can speak English quite well."

Grace:
"Don't you IT me! I'm very clearly a woman. WO-MAN!"

Venec:
"You can't hear her?" Venec asked incredulously.
Kaorin Sakura:
"Can she? Let's hear it! I've never heard a Pokémon speak real words before!" The Scientist looked excited now, "It's definitely lively though."
* Grace leaned over to Cepheus.
DNA:
Cepheus sighed quietly to himself. He knew it wasn't just him. Other people had heard Grace talk before, and heard her perfectly well. This guy needed to put his hearing aid in.

Venec:
"Eyed the scientist suspiciously.
You whisper to DNA: It's not a crime if I blow up his head, right?
DNA:
...It most certainly is, even though we both wish it weren't.

"Let's head out...preferably sooner than later." He whistled briefly. "Jupiter, let's go! We have some work to do."

Jupiter:
He cheerfully obeyed and began orbiting his master's head, as usual.
* Grace scoffed at Jupiter coming to a dogs whistle.

Grace:
"We know who wears the pants in that relationship." She that with a smirk.

Venec:
"The one with legs?"

Venec:
Venec smirked.
* Grace looks down at herself briefly.

Jupiter:
He gave Grace a glare. He was liking her less now that she could talk. Not like Larry, but still.
* Grace tugs on Cepheus' hand.
Kia:
Kia followed the other’s and then turned to Grace offering her a small smile. “I know one way that some can. “

Grace:
"I want pants."

Jupiter:
The magnet suppressed a forceful laugh.
DNA:
"...Did I hear that correctly?"

Venec:
"I can get you some pants." Venec began to follow.

Grace:

He nodded, "Sure."

Grace:
"Missing stuff should be right next to the building we're in. Or we can go to the waterfall like, Ceph-chan wants. He's ¥ hungry right now."
DNA:
"Venec, where on earth are you going to find pants in her size?"
* Grace nodded sagely.

"Pokemon armor store."
DNA:
"...Ah...right. Sorry, didn't think of that."

Venec:
"They'd probably be leather of some sort but I'm sure Grace could work the punk rocker style."

Grace:
"Punk Rocker...?"
DNA:
"What's a punk rocker?"

Grace:
"Shouldn't you know, Ceph-chan? You're a Human and that sounds like common Human knowledge."
DNA:
"I haven't lived in the wide open world for very long. Everything I see is like something new to me."
* Grace respect for her always knowledgeable Trainer/Friend has slumped slightly.
DNA:
"...You don't know my past yet. Don't worry - one day, I'll tell you."

Grace:
"I could always just probe your mind for the information."

Grace:
"But I like you enough to respect your privacy."
DNA:
"...I'm not even allowed to tell you a story?"

Grace:
"That, and I'd rather not stumble upon your school years of awkardness and breeding patterns."
DNA:
"...I've never been in a school before."

Venec:
"Where'd you feel the vanishing Grace?" Venec said, realizing they weren't move anywhere quickly.

Grace:
"East of this building."

Grace:
"Oh, well, in that case. Just your breeding patterns. I'd rather be surprised."
DNA:
"You're not going to find anything out there."

"..."

Grace:
"You....do know we can see and hear outside of our Pokéballs, right?"
DNA:
"And what does that have to do with anything?"

Venec:
"Hey!" Venec shouted up the hill.
DNA:
"What is it Venec?"

Lucy:
"..."

Venec:
"Dunno, some people up there, I don't know what there doing." He turned up the hill, "Is everything alright up there? Our pokemon sensed something!"

Grace:
"That's not a Human..."

Lucy:
"Everything is okay. No need for alarm. Your Pokémon is incorrect."
Kaorin Sakura:
The voice appeared female but oddly distorted like two voices speaking at once.
Kia:
"What do you mean?" Kia turned toward's grace confused. The woman talking clearly looked human.

Venec:
Venec looked down at Grace, doubting her words. WIthout another word he made his way up the hill.
DNA:
"Grace...what is she?" He'd be more willing to trust Grace first than what others might say.

Grace:
"Not sure. Unreal is what I feel like."

Lucy:
"Stop your approach."

Venec:
Venec stopped in place, but looked around.
DNA:
"What other kind of vibes are you getting?"
Kaorin Sakura:
You notice that all of them have firearms in their hands and that the female speaking skin looked completely white.

Venec:
"What's going on here...?"

Grace:
"Four Humans and a something. I can't say exactly what the something is."

Lucy:
"Business. An unfortunate disagreement between co-workers."
DNA:
(I don't like this...Who or what is their leader? A ghost? A phantom? Or...maybe even a splice?) he was thinking.

Grunt:
"We don't need to explain it to some kids, Lucy."

Venec:
"Business involving someone's brain-stuff disappearing?" Venec asked.

Venec:
"You shut your mouth or I'll deck ya a good one!"

Venec:
Venec yelled, immediately aggrivated.

Lucy:
"...Brain-stuff?"

Venec:
"I don't know how psychics work!"
Kia:
Kia watched the scene unfold slightly nervous. " Art be ready to help Venec..."

Grunt:
"They're just kids, ignore 'em Lucy. Look, the geek doesn't have the egg."

Lucy:
"And the data?"

Venec:
Venec grinned, "Egg? Funny, I have an odd egg I found earlier."

Grunt:
"Not on 'em. Probably hidden it somewhere or has some contacts."
* Lucy tilted her head in sudden interest.
Kia:
(Venec...what are you doing?) Kia wanted to scream but stayed silent, the bad feeling only getting worst with every exchange.

Venec:
"Yeah. An egg. I have someone else holding onto it right now. I found it on a dead body. Some scientist. You guys know anything about that?"

Grunt:
"...This is getting a bit out of hand."

Lucy:
"I may. Did you find anything specific? An I.D., a vial, or something?"
DNA:
(Grace...go and get the police here. go quickly and quietly!) Cepheus hissed, his voice barely above a whisper.
Kia:
As they continued talking, Kia got a quick glimpse of the dead scienstist laying on the ground and instantly recongized him as the one who had given her the charmander egg. (Oh no...it's them.) She bit her bottom lip as she debated joining Venec. This wasn't going to end up pretty.

Venec:
"Coulda. But just-a-kid like myself might not have noticed. Is there any reason they are important, it might help me remember."

Grace:
"Police...? What's that and where are they?" Grace whispered back, "Pokédex it!"
DNA:
Cepheus tapped a few buttons in his Pokedex to see where the police station in Pewter was. He was hoping for a map or something.
Kaorin Sakura:
You find that the police station is by the center of town.
Kia:
Kia decided to climb up the way so that she could join Venec.

Lucy:
"I meant as in may have given me clues as to whether or not I may have known."
DNA:
Cepheus gives Grace the Pokedex so it has the map. (It's right there. Take the map with you. Go!)

Grunt:
"Lucy, stop bothering the kids, alright? Our job's done. let's just go."
* Grace scurried off to grab the police.

Venec took a step closer.

Venec:
"Bit of a mess you made. Given me enough time to remember your faces too."

(Jupiter, you're coming with me; let's stay with Kia and the others and help cover a potential escape.)

"Go on ahead without me. Find that data before it ends up in the wrong hands."

Grunt:

Getting a better look at the strange woman, Kia couldn't help but to be slightly curious about the woman's pale skin. She attempted to nonchantly scan the woman and held her hand over the speaker in an attempt to muffle the sound.
DNA:
(Valuable property? So maybe she IS some sort of splice!) he thought.

Venec:
"Hey! I'm not done with you!"
DNA:
He was about to scan her with the Pokedex himself, but...right. Grace had it.

Venec:
"If there weren't women in the way you'd be laying in the dirt!" Venec yelled after him.
Kaorin Sakura:
"Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokémon. Psychic type. A Pokémon created by recombining Mew's genes. It's said to have the most savage heart among Pokémon."
Kaorin Sakura:
"Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon. Dragon and Flying type. It lives in the ozone layer far above the clouds and cannot be seen from the ground."

Lucy:
"Sounds like your toys are confused."

Venec:
"It sound's like YOU'RE catchable!"

Venec:

Venec said, angry that she broke it.
DNA:
"Yeah, but you realize what this means, right Venec? It means Poke Balls work on her!"

"Your crazy move might have given us an answer to this!"

Kia:
Kia simply shook her head still amazed by this fact.
* Lucy is sprawled out on the ground in heap of blood, singes and tattered clothing.

Jupiter:
Wait, what just happened?

Jupiter:
...I was thinking that. I can't speak yet. I have this blank gaze on my face.

Kia:
As Kia makes her way over to the woman she notices that Artemis is holding a small syringe in her mouth. "Whatt do you have girl?"

Kia:
"We should probably go and get the authorities." Kia scratched the back of her head thoughtfully as she examined the syringe. "and prehaps tell them that Scion is the company behind these recent deaths."
DNA:
"Layla, are you okay?" Cepheus tried to speak directly to her mind.

Venec:
Venec turned to Layla to see how she was doing.
DNA:

* Layla looks confused as to what was going on, obviously no wiser of what just occured.
DNA:
"Oh, good...I think she's okay."

Venec:
Venec was bloodied, shaken with anger and otherwise seemed to be in a poor mood, but looking at his companion his expression melted somewhat.
DNA:

Kia:
"Are you ok?" Kia looked over at Venec remembering he had taken that attack, and also because he seemed visibly upset.

Venec:
(Bite, Flame Charge, Flame Wheel are the good ones. Ember, HElpinghand, Roar, Arieal Ace...)

Venec:
"I let that get to my head. I don't like being talked down to but I guess I proved them right."

Venec:
(Facade and theif as well)
DNA:
(I'll snatch Aerial Ace and sever the mental link)
DNA:

Kia:
(I want to see Cepheus use this.)
DNA:
Jupiter then floated over to where Cepheus was, a happy but determined expression on his face. "You okay, guy?" Cepheus asked.

Kia:
(That would be awesome!)

Venec:
"Hey Kia. I still think a pokeball would be the best way to contain her, but not if she's sent straight off somewhere else. I want to you take Nike here," he holds out a pokeball, "And send it to the Prof for me. I'm going to stay here and wait for you to finish and try catching her again."

Jupiter:
He smiled, and nodded. (For sure,) he motioned to say. (That was pretty cool.)
DNA:
"You're going to...try and catch her? For real, Venec?"

Kia:
Kia nodded and took Nike's pokeball. "If you are sure..." and then proceded to head back to the pokemon center as quickly as she could.

Venec:
Venec stared at Cepheus with confusion. Not sure why it was a strange idea.
DNA:
"I mean, I don't blame you, but it still seems risky to try."
DNA:
"Who knows what kind of ties she has or what havoc she might wreak."

Venec:
"She's running around killing people. Pokeballs were made to make pokemon stop that."
DNA:
"...Good point."
DNA:
Cepheus couldn't help but be intrigued at this. Maybe legendary Pokemon were closer at hand than he first thought they were.

Kia:
As Kia entered the pokemon center she put Nike's pokeball on the transfer machine, and waited for it to send before heading to the counter.

Kia:
"Hello Nurse Joy?"
Kaorin Sakura:
The ball was transported immediately.
DNA:
(Where's Grace?) Cepheus thought.

Nurse Joy:
"Yes, what can I do for you?"

Grace:
"Brrrueuea!! Rrureuea brbraee eeyeeuebaa!!"
* Grace flails her arms madly.
DNA:
"Grace! Calm down and speak slowly. What's going on?"
* Grace slowly tries to clam herself, breathing a tad slower.

She looked around nervously. Some panic was still on her face. " I think you might want to come with me. There is a dead body up on the clifs by the museum, and there is also a woman/pokemon thing who has been badly injured. She started attacking us, so we fought back-and we believe she was the one who killed the man.." Kia began to ramble

Venec:
Venec, assuming KIa had gotten to the center, starts to apply a super potion.

Grace:
"Brrrueuea. Rrueuea brbraee eeyeeuebaa."
DNA:
"...Grace, why can't I understand what you're saying?"

Kia:

Grace:
"Rarereea?"

Nurse Joy:
"A Human/Pokémon...thing?"
DNA:
"I'm not kidding. What you're saying sounds like jibberish to me right now. I was able to understand you perfectly until you got back."

Venec:
"I can't either."
DNA:
"...Did something...happen?"
* Grace pouts as tears begins to form in her eyes.

Kia:
"Ehh..." Kia frowned. "Honestly I'm sure what it is exactly. It look's human, but my pokedex said it was two differnt pokemon."
* Kaorin Sakura rolls: 3d12+20 HEALING! => 20 + 20 = 40

Venec:
Venec tried a regular potion

Lucy:
Lucy is healed and gains 40 hit points.
* Kaorin Sakura rolls: 2d12+10 Healing. => 13 + 10 = 23

Lucy:
Lucy is healed and gains 23 hit points.
* Lucy remains unconscious and bloody.

Venec:
"Cepheus, do you have a potion? One more'll work."

Nurse Joy:
"This..does not bode well. I'll come with you.
DNA:
"Yeah, I do." He tossed it over. Then to Grace, he kneeled down and put his arm on her back. "Grace, don't cry!"

Venec:
Venec used the potion, "Can you use pokemon speaking powers like Kia?"
DNA:
"It's not like I'll stop understanding you completely...you've always been able to speak to my mind."

Kia:
"Thank you!" Kia looked grateful and left walking as fast as possible toward's the museum once more.
Kaorin Sakura:
And! We'll stop here.
