Anonymous reveals name of Vic Toews' alleged mistress

Hacktivist group Anonymous has released more details about Public Safety Minister Vic Toews, who was under siege on twitter last week for his controversial "online snooping bill" (Bill C-30, The Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act).
Anonymous' latest leak claims to reveal the woman involved in Toews' now-public divorce. In a seven-minute YouTube video, Anonymous names Stacey Meek as his alleged mistress, claiming that she was a babysitter with whom he had an affair between 1986-1993.
The video reveals details about her current and past employment, and claims and Toews and Meek are currently living together in a common law marriage with a child.
Anonymous points out the contradiction between Towes' affair and his Christian family values, which he has promoted in his public speeches:
"Marriage is a uniquely heterosexual institution, that indeed is a sacrament," he had said in 2003.  "Marriage is one of the cornerstones upon which our society has been built."
"We warned you that you would not be allowed any secrets if you did not allow the Canadian public any secrets of their own," Anonymous warned in a YouTube video.
It went on to state that it would not release Toews' home address or personal information, and would keep information about his youngest son private out of consideration for his safety.

And to those who say Mr. Toews' personal life is not relevant to this debate: it became relevant when...

A) Vic Toews' mistress was hired by the Government of Canada and paid with our tax dollars,

B) Vic used his former mistress and son as tools to paint himself as a devoted family man for political gain, and...

C) Vic Toews attempted to make it legal to steal the personal information of every Canadian citizen with an internet connection, including intimate details about their families.

Message from Vic Toews office

Thank you for contacting my office regarding Bill C-30, the Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act. Canadas laws currently do not adequately protect Canadians from online exploitation and we think there is widespread agreement that this is a problem. We want to update our laws while striking the right balance between combating crime and protecting privacy. Let me be very clear: the police will not be able to read emails or view web activity unless they obtain a warrant issued by a judge and we have constructed safeguards to protect the privacy of Canadians, including audits by privacy commissioners. Whats needed most is an open discussion about how to better protect Canadians from online crime. We will therefore send this legislation directly to Parliamentary Committee for a full examination of the best ways to protect Canadians while respecting their privacy.
