[02:55] <Wraithstrike> Now, Agata is more aware of her fuzzy boyfriend next to her, and he seems to be talking about the truth behind Agata.
[02:55] <Ciel> Agata leans in closer to Florian, awaiting his exposition on the meaning of "prototype of humanity."
[02:55] <Wraithstrike> "and that's why you're a space alien, sent to Earth with the explosion of planet krypton" he jokes.

[02:57] <Agata> "... okay, Florian," she sprightly goes, then pinches both of Florian's cat ears with her two hands. "What does it really mean?" A smile, though no headtilt this time.
[02:57] <Wraithstrike> "You're doing something that for years has been considered taboo. Simply spreading the word of the supernatural world to the mortal world for the longest time was considered a criminal act. But you're trying to ensure the continued safety of the human race by exposing them to the truth."
[03:02] <Wraithstrike> Florian starts playing with your hair in response to your grabbing his ears. "You're showing that humanity can evolve alongside the supernatural, not run from it. That mankind needs only be aware of the supernatural, not be supernatural itself in order to survive."
[03:02] <Agata> The young girl goes from lighthearted to serious, releasing Florian's ears, as she hears a serious response. "It is really what should be done, I think," rolling her eyes to the side to break eye contact for a moment. "Long, really long ago, when humans were first still around... I am sure they were all really scared of things like wolves, jackals, and other animals. But then they learned about them, sharpened sticks to protect themselves, made the wolves and jackals afraid to attack them, and knew that not all of the animals were bad things."
[03:04] <Wraithstrike> "True, but it also took longer for early man to work with animals. Domesticating dogs to guard their livestock, for instance. The same is true in the supernatural world. We'd be much better off if everyone was aware of the supernatural world, on average anyway. There would be some outliers trying to harness the power, but otherwise, we'd all benefit."
[03:10] <Agata> Agata allows Florian to play with her hair, relatively short as it is--it comforts her, in a strange way. This discussion has turned rather intellectual, and somehow, she likes it so. "I think this, like... breaks down kind of bad when it makes it sound like we should make magical people pets, but... we both know what we mean, right?" Her tone is purely rhetorical. "Kind-of regular people, like me, can live with not-so-regular people, like you, and help each other! If we can do it, other people can, if we show them how, show them what to be friendly to, and show them what to fight!" The naïve positivism in Agata is palpable.
[03:14] <Wraithstrike> "The real issue is that for a great deal of the supernatural community, humans are the brunch buffet. Groups like the White Court and the were-bears do not wish to be friends with humans. They wish to consume them."
[03:30] <Wraithstrike> "If we could convince them that they can get their nutrients elsewhere, we'd come a step closer to realizing your goal."
[03:31] <Agata> Agata closes her eyes and brushes her hand against Florian's hair-manipulating fingers. "That is right. For every problem, there has to be a solution," firm and serene. "You showed me how, like... the White Court can actually just feed from animals, right?"
[03:32] <Wraithstrike> "The White Court could go entirely without feeding. They've just become so conditioned to eating emotions that they think they'll die if they don't."
[03:33] <Wraithstrike> "Oh, my mistake, not the Whites. The Jades."
[03:35] <Agata> "But both of them still need to learn that they do not need humans to make food out of," level, shrewd. "If humans can be made to be alright with supernatural things, then so can the vampi... well... at least the younger and open ones, I guess..." Agata's tone lilts downwards.
[03:36] <Wraithstrike> "It would require complex rituals to calm down the demons within them."
[03:38] <Agata> "But it can happen, and that can give everyone hope," idealism surging brightly as she places a hand over her heart, and leans her head closer to her boyfriend. "But it is going to be even harder because some of the really, really old ones... they are just bad people who have to die, because they spread bad ideas and do bad things." Twelve-year-old speaking here. "Like the generals. We killed them, and things became better. But... if we teach other people to do that, they might kill even the not-so-bad ones..." She grows less optimistic here.
[03:39] <Wraithstrike> "Don't ever consider that the old ones 'just need to die.'" He takes a stern tone. "They are still living beings, and should be accorded with respect. They should only be killed in self-defense or if they ask for it."
[03:41] <Agata> "I said only some of them." Agata grows defensive. Oooooh, first lover's disagreement. "And... you know that saying 'if they ask for it' is just a way of saying 'if I feel like they are a really bad person,' right?"
[03:42] <Wraithstrike> "No. I mean that if the elder vampires specifically ask you to put them out of their misery."
[03:43] <Wraithstrike> "Many of them have lived for centuries, and have lost more than you can imagine."
[03:44] <Agata> "If it was a vampire who did everything Hella did, and... and who got me all poisoned..." Agata does not pull away from Florian; she sits firmly near him. "... you would not have wanted the vampire dead then too?"
[03:45] <Wraithstrike> "I admit I was angry that day. But it's not just you. If anyone had done the same to any of our friends, I would have been just as angry."
[03:47] <Wraithstrike> "Though the idea of losing you would have pushed me over the edge. I just feel..."
[03:48] <Agata> "And..." Agata closes her eyes and places the back of her left hand over the cheek. "If you thought that they were... really, really bad and evil for doing that... you would want them to die then, right?"
[03:49] <Wraithstrike> "That's a line I do not cross easily. Evil exists, and pure evil exists. In the case where nothing more can be done to reach them, when no other option exists, I would advocate their killing. But there is always a chance."
[03:52] <Agata> Agata leans her head forward, her mouth pushing itself against her hand, before she places it away. "It is just... I think that... there is always problem to every solution. But that does not mean that everyone always has a chance. Just... look at the generals." Agata's serene intonation has grown very somber.
[03:54] <Agata> "Even Sasha does not do anything but kill them," she adds with Winter-esque coldness.
[03:54] <Wraithstrike> "The Night Wave generals are long gone. Promised everything by their dark masters, they'll do anything in their power to claim it. But it is an empty reward, a kingdom that lasts a fraction of a second before they are destroyed."
[03:55] <Agata> "And if more people like them exist..." She opens her eyes and makes direct eye contact with Florian's blue irides. "Do you think people should just let them live?"
[03:57] <Wraithstrike> "Asking that question is like asking 'Should men like your father continue to exist?' The answer changes with the person, based on the works they have done. For instance, Abaddon was once indoctrinated heavily, but Sergei came to forgive him."
[03:58] <Wraithstrike> "And because of that forgiveness, Abaddon is redeemable. I cannot defend my choices made when I was trying to cure your poison, but I will continue to try to make the right choices, based on the situation."
[03:59] <Agata> Agata turns her head away, rethinking things and trying to salvage her argument. Maybe Florian is right... "This... this does not really change anything, does it...?" A bit unconfident there. "We look at someone, and if they are really bad, we have to defeat them." Defeat, not kill this time.
[04:00] <Wraithstrike> "Defeat them in combat. Undo their plans. But always leave the door open for redemption. Even people like my Mother are capable of redemption."
[04:04] <Agata> Agata does not respond to that for a good ten seconds or so. "So... to fight them until they are almost dead, then try to make them see what they did wrong... it... sounds weird, but... I guess it did work one time." Her eyelids shut once more, and she takes one of Florian's hands in both of her own, as though she needed to touch something.
[04:06] <Wraithstrike> Florian strokes your face gently. "Just remember, we're supposed to be the good guys here. We can't kill everything that disagrees with us."
[04:11] <Agata> "I... I-I am sorry, I just..." Agata squeezes Florian's hand a bit. "I guess I got... too..." Agata shakes her head. "I need to think about problems and solutions better..."
[04:15] <Wraithstrike> "Well, we can think of them together, later." And he leans in to give you a kiss on the lips.
[04:31] <Agata> Agata closes her eyes and accepts the kiss intended to comfort her, shifting her arms to embrace the boy.
[04:32] <Agata> As it goes on, she feels as though her stress and tension are all being washed away in this sublime moment.
[04:33] <Agata> The inexperience of Agata's player at describing what happens during this kiss is palpable.
