  1. Hey Kris, Allen, Everyone,
  2.
  3. I have been using *nix on my computers exclusively since 2002. I started off using Linux, and quickly began to enjoy all of the benefits of FOSS. In 2013, I started watching your show, and was quickly bit by the BSD bug. I took the dive, and started using PC-BSD 9.2. I very quickly fell in love with it. The file system structure actually made sense, software didn't blow up every 30 seconds for one reason or another, and ZFS! (Enough said). Unfortunately the Atheros wi-fi card that I had was notoriously bad. Not just on BSD, but Linux and Windows as well, and I had to go back to Linux while attending school.

  5. When I purchased my new laptop at the beginning of this year, I was excited to give try out the hardware to see if it was compatible with PC-BSD. I was depressed to find out that the wi-fi was not supported out of the box. After doing some research and finding out that PC-BSD had switched to TrueOS, I quickly downloaded the USB image and went to work. To my surprise, it just worked! I am also excited to hear that TrueOS is now on current. Now that I have BSD back, I will never be leaving again.

  7. Linux cannot offer me what FreeBSD can, and systemd never should have come into existence. Thanks for an amazing show, and thank you Kris for making an amazing Operating System!
