  5. [2014-12-17 22:03:59]* Cambiance listens to the PA. "An organized mealtime. Almost feels a bit like we're back in school, huh Swift?"
  6. [2014-12-17 22:04:08]<LuckyLeaf> Backlash is still at the library with raven, they don't seem to see and hear nopony else inside.
  7. [2014-12-17 22:04:57]* Backlash pauses mid-question as the PA goes off. "Hey, you hungry?"
  8. [2014-12-17 22:06:45]<LuckyLeaf> "I could do with a bite." Raven says
  9. [2014-12-17 22:08:28]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Only without Secratary Egg Cream", He puts a hoof over his muzzle and impersinates the mare, "And today we will be serving Steamed Carrots and NutBread"
  10. [2014-12-17 22:08:58]<Backlash> "C'mon, let's get back with the others. I'm sure they'll be there..."
  11. [2014-12-17 22:09:20]* Backlash faces the library exit expectantly, not wanting to leave without the filly.
  12. [2014-12-17 22:09:22]* Cambiance smiles. "Heh, I'm sure they'll be somepony like that there doling out the food. Who knows, maybe she made it here even."
  13. [2014-12-17 22:09:48]<LuckyLeaf> Rosebee trots to Cambiance and Swift_Hurddle again. The others around them starting to move. "Oh, did you hear. Food."
  14. [2014-12-17 22:10:39]* Swift_Hurddle shrugs as he moves towards the door, "Could be". notdding to Rose he smiles, "Sure did, want to see what they have? Has to be better than weeks old baked goods or snack machine munchies"
  15. [2014-12-17 22:11:23]<LuckyLeaf> "We shall go." Raven leaves alongside with Backlash. Outside the library ponies leave their cells, heading towards the atrium
  16. [2014-12-17 22:12:20]<LuckyLeaf> "I hope so. I really miss fresh vegetables." Rosebee says, looking sad for a moment.
  17. [2014-12-17 22:12:25]* Backlash gets lost readily and relies on Raven to lead her in the right direction mostly.
  18. [2014-12-17 22:13:33]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "Well they at least HAD a garden so maybe odds are good? and once they get the sheild thing fixed theres nothing stoping them from making more, right?"
  19. [2014-12-17 22:15:00]* Backlash waves to Swift and Cambiance as she sees them. "Hey guys, getting lunch?"
  20. [2014-12-17 22:15:09]* Cambiance nods. "That's the plan."
  21. [2014-12-17 22:15:20]<LuckyLeaf> Rosebee smiles. "Yeah! But... how do they do that? I don't really get these magics."
  22. [2014-12-17 22:15:49]<LuckyLeaf> Raven trots silently alongside Backlash.
  23. [2014-12-17 22:15:49]* Swift_Hurddle looks to Cambiance, "Ya, me either.... you know whats up with that Cambiance?"
  24. [2014-12-17 22:15:58]* Swift_Hurddle waves to Raven
  25. [2014-12-17 22:16:40]* Cambiance thinks. "Maybe a bit. I'm not certain."
  26. [2014-12-17 22:16:52]<Backlash> "What's up with what?"
  27. [2014-12-17 22:17:33]* Swift_Hurddle waves a hoof, "Um, some sheild thingy that is acting up so ponies cant garden or exercise out in the yard"
  28. [2014-12-17 22:18:13]<Backlash> "Huh... that does sound bad. Maybe we should ask a mechanic or somethin' about it?"
  29. [2014-12-17 22:24:43]<LuckyLeaf> "They should." Rosebee nods.
  30. [2014-12-17 22:27:24]<Cambiance> "Hmm, well I know crystals like that hold magic power, either from nature or ponies. So either someone screwed up with the spells, or the crystals got damaged somehow. I might be able to tell if I got a closer look."
  31. [2014-12-17 22:27:59]<LuckyLeaf> A long line is gathered outside of the cafeteria, waiting for their food.
  32. [2014-12-17 22:28:32]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Cool, maybe we should ask one of the guards at the cafeteria-.... wow, I mean if we ever get inside that is"
  33. [2014-12-17 22:29:33]* Backlash gets in line, reluctantly. "Maybe we should try to get here early next time..."
  34. [2014-12-17 22:29:57]* Cambiance sighs. "Makes sense it would be like this."
  35. [2014-12-17 22:32:29]* Swift_Hurddle narrows his eyes, "Yikes, just like high school was right"
  36. [2014-12-17 22:34:05]<LuckyLeaf> Swift_Hurddle spots a familiar figure a few places ahead. An earth pony with the cutie mark of a pair of lawn clippers. Ahead of them seem to be other students from their school, but from a different grade
  37. [2014-12-17 22:35:26]<Backlash> "Heh, so I guess you guys are used to this, eh?"
  38. [2014-12-17 22:35:52]<Cambiance> "In a way. It is a eerily similar."
  39. [2014-12-17 22:37:27]* Swift_Hurddle eyes get larger, "No way! Its not Miss Egg cream but check out who is here. its more like High School than I though!", He trots over waving towards the familure face in the line, "Hey!"
  40. [2014-12-17 22:43:43]<LuckyLeaf> The older earth pony turns as he hears his voice. "Swift." He opens a smile. "Long time no see. Good to know you made it." He looks behind Swift_Hurddle. "And you brought some classmates along. Hello Rosebee." He waves.
  41. [2014-12-17 22:45:23]* Swift_Hurddle Slides to a stop next to the older pony, "Oh wow, and it looks like more of us made it than I thought! How long have you guys been here?"
  42. [2014-12-17 22:53:29]<LuckyLeaf> "We got here a couple days after they shot those fireworks. I had to get them out of the school. There were too many of them." He smiles. "But at least we are all safe here, even if it isn't always easy."
  43. [2014-12-17 22:54:11]* Swift_Hurddle motions to his friends, "So we have heard, something about a busted sheild right?"
  44. [2014-12-17 23:00:51]<LuckyLeaf> "Yeah, turns out the fireworks weren't a great idea. Ponies started to come, only too find the cursed ones sieging it." The pony clears his throat. "We heard the snap from four blocks away."
  45. [2014-12-17 23:02:14]* Swift_Hurddle tilts his head "Snap?", turning to Look at Cambiance he looks inquisitive, "Do Crystal batteries snap when they break?"
  46. [2014-12-17 23:02:36]* Swift_Hurddle shudders, "Still, sounds horrible. We saw the fireworks but were across town"
  47. [2014-12-17 23:05:36]* Cambiance nods. "They can split if they're overloaded. I don't think it's any in the walls, because they looked fine, but the one in the tower might have cracked."
  48. [2014-12-17 23:07:18]* Swift_Hurddle rubs his neck, "So what do you do for something like that? patch it up or pick up a new one at the corner store? Its not like we are trying to expell all these jerks out of a city..... though there is a heck of an idea, heh, where is your prince and princess charming when you need em right?"
  49. [2014-12-17 23:15:33]* Cambiance scratches her head. "If I remember correctly, it's not an easy problem to fix. Normally you'd just order another one from the Crystal Empire, but we can't do that now. You can also use a mineral solution to help grow it back, but that'd be difficult for a crystal so large."
  50. [2014-12-17 23:16:15]<Cambiance> "You could also re-craft it into smaller crystals, but they'd all be weaker, obviously. And if you're really desperate, the crystals can still channel unicorn magic, even if they can't store it."
  51. [2014-12-17 23:16:40]<LuckyLeaf> The line moves little by little
  52. [2014-12-17 23:18:04]* Swift_Hurddle scratches his head as he moves along with the line, "Well what happened to it before? Sounds like it was stressed out from what you were saying Hedge"
  53. [2014-12-17 23:22:17]<Backlash> "I dunno, ain't a buncha small batteries better'n no battery?"
  54. [2014-12-17 23:22:21]<LuckyLeaf> "The school had some barrels of mineral juice for the rock farming classes. I don't know, but it's what I can think of. You are... Cambiance right?" He nods to Swift. "Too many of them surrounded the place, shield couldn't take it."
  55. [2014-12-17 23:23:37]* Cambiance nods. "Yes, that's me. And those barrels might be able to help... If there's enough at least."
  56. [2014-12-17 23:27:02]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "well hey we should still mention it when we can right? And its not like they dont have plenty of students and facalty around here that can give them a hoof in the right direction to find it"
  57. [2014-12-17 23:27:03]<LuckyLeaf> "I don't think I got your name miss." The middle aged pony smiles to Backlash. "I am Tidy Hedge."
  58. [2014-12-17 23:28:31]<LuckyLeaf> Rosebee nods to Backlash. "If we have these small crystals, we can go outside already."
  59. [2014-12-17 23:29:15]* Swift_Hurddle grins, "hey wouldnt that be something Raven?"
  60. [2014-12-17 23:32:53]<Backlash> "Hey, nice to meetcha, Hedge!" She smiles back. "Name's Backlash. I'm with them - but I guess that kinda goes without sayin', heh. An' I'd love ta be able to go outside, 'specially if that means gardening."
  61. [2014-12-17 23:34:27]<LuckyLeaf> "Sunlight is idolized beyond merit..." Raven pauses "...but I enjoy the night wind. It is inspiring." She smiles slightly to Rosebee and Swift_Hurddle
  62. [2014-12-17 23:36:09]* Swift_Hurddle sighs, "ya and if my dreams keep kicking me every night like they have for a while I may be enjoying more of that inspiring night wind of yours Raven"
  63. [2014-12-17 23:37:53]<LuckyLeaf> Rosebee hugs Swift_Hurddle. "We are safe now, we don't have to worry."
  64. [2014-12-17 23:38:17]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Thanks Rosebee, I hope so"
  65. [2014-12-17 23:38:29]<LuckyLeaf> Soon the whispering students ahead of Tidy Hedge are getting their rations, a bottle of water, a bowl of some kind of soup and different bags of snacks, chips or biscuits.
  66. [2014-12-17 23:41:57]<Backlash> "Thank Luna for that. Maybe now we can start workin' on bigger stuff, y'know? Bigger than just trying to find someplace to live."
  67. [2014-12-17 23:42:54]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Not that it wasnt an important step, me personally im just glad we came up with someplace that wasnt a book store"
  68. [2014-12-17 23:43:22]* Cambiance nods. "That's a fair point."
  69. [2014-12-17 23:43:41]<LuckyLeaf> Tidy_Hedge gets his and moves, and the line moves. The server is a large apron wearing stallion who marks a list for every meal he delievers.
  70. [2014-12-17 23:44:07]<LuckyLeaf> "What do you mean, Backlash?" Rosebee asks.
  71. [2014-12-17 23:47:07]<LuckyLeaf> Swift_Hurddle is given his rations
  72. [2014-12-17 23:48:14]* Swift_Hurddle takes them happily and looks for a table
  73. [2014-12-17 23:50:55]<Backlash> "Oh, y'know, helping find some way to fix all this. Helpin' the doctors an' the unicorns figure out what's wrong. That kinda stuff!"
  74. [2014-12-17 23:51:43]<LuckyLeaf> There are several tables available inside the cafeteria, some of them still free
  75. [2014-12-17 23:51:48]* Swift_Hurddle nods his agreement, "Would be nice to help feel, ya know, productive"
  76. [2014-12-17 23:54:01]<LuckyLeaf> "It sure would be the right way to go. I'd like to go back to how things were. Who know we can even save these poor wrecks of ponies?" Tidy Hedge says.
  77. [2014-12-17 23:54:40]* Swift_Hurddle hoof pumps, "Now that is what im talking about, ya!"
  78. [2014-12-17 23:55:13]<LuckyLeaf> Rosebee and then Cambiance receive their rations. Rosebee quickly joins Swift_Hurddle's side.
  79. [2014-12-17 23:55:27]* Cambiance thanks the server and joins Swift.
  80. [2014-12-17 23:56:18]<LuckyLeaf> "...what does that mean for us?" Raven says, taking her rations and sitting across Rosebee and Swift.
  81. [2014-12-17 23:57:14]* Swift_Hurddle has quit (Quit: Page closed)
  82. [2014-12-17 23:59:13]* Backlash remembers her lunch as she's about to step out of line, grabs her meal and rushes off to catch up.
