- Detects evil monsters
- Stinking Cloud
- Fire a radius 2 ball of poison. Does 10 + level/2 damage.
- Black Sleep
- Attempts to sleep a monster. Has level*2 power.
- Undead Resistance
- Gives cold and poison resistance for 20 + d20 turns.
- Horrify
- Attempts to scare a monster. Has level*2 power.
- Enslave Undead
- Attempts to charm an undead monster. Has level*2 power.
- Book 2: Black Mass
- Orb of Entropy
- Fires a radius 2 ball (radius 3 after level 30) that damages living monsters. Does 3d4 + 5/4 * level damage, or 3d4 + 3/2 * level for mages, high-mages, blood-mages, and sorcerors.
- Nether Bolt:
- Fires a bolt or beam of nether. Does (7 + (level-1)/4)d8 damage.
- Cloud Kill
- Creates a ball of poison around the player. Does 60 + level*2 damage in a 2 + level/10 radius.
- Genocide One
- Genocides a single monster with power level*3.
- Poison Branding
- Gives your current weapon the Venom ego, permanently.
- Vampiric Drain
- Absorbs some HP from a monster and gives them to you. You will also gain nutritional sustenance from this. Drains level*2 + 1d(level*2) HP.
- Animate Dead
- Resurrects nearby corpse and skeletons. And makes these your pets.
- Genocide
- Genocide a class of monster with power level*3
- Book 3: Black Channels
- Berserk
- Gives 30hp and makes you berserk for 25 + 1d25 turns.
- Invoke Spirits
- Causes one from a variety of effects. Most are offensive spells, but some will fear or confuse you, and players under level 40 might summon hostile undead.
- Dark Bolt
- Fires a bolt or beam of darkness. Does (3 + (level-1)/4)d8 damage.
- Battle Frenzy
- Causes Heroism and Blessed for 25 + 1d25 turns, and causes speed for 20 + level/2 + 1d(level/2) turns.
- Vampiric Branding
- Gives your current weapon the Death ego, permanently.
- Vampirism True
- Casts Drain Life 3 times for 100 damage each.
- Nether Wave
- Damages all living monsters in sight for 1d(level*3) damage. Does not actually do nether damage.
- Darkness Storm
- Fires a radius-4 darkness ball. Does 200 + level + (level^2)/50 + (level^3)/125 damage.
- Book 4: Necronomicon
- Death Ray
- Fires a beam of death. Instakills living monsters if monster level + 1d20 is less than 1d(player level). Only has a 1 in 888 chance to affect uniques.
- Raise The Dead
- Summons one or several undead, with a 2 in 3 chance of being hostile. At level 48+, summons greater undead.
- Esoteria
- Identifies an object. If 1d50 < level, *Identifies* instead.
- Polymorph Vampire
- Mimic a vampire for a while. Loses abilities of original race and gets abilities as a vampire.
- Restore Life
- Restores any drained XP.
- Mass Genocide
- Causes mass genocide with power level*3.
- Wraithform
- Become a wraith for level/2 + 1d(level/2) turns. Gives the ability to pass through walls and halves all damage.
