- Each "act" is separated by a quote.
- -“Remember, catch as many Pokemon as you can. You never know, one day they might just disappear.”
- After receiving their first Pokemon from Professor Acacia, the player character (PC) travels to the first town/city. Before they leave, a kind, old, seemingly nondescript lady stops the PC and asks if they know how to catch Pokemon. After the tutorial, the lady tells the PC above quote, and tells the player that she must go because of some business she must attend to. She has a Pokemon fly her away. An NPC runs up to the PC and asks if they know who they were talking to. They tell the PC that the old lady is someone with a lot of power in Nullos’ government.
- When the PC arrives at the second city, an NPC runs up to them and asks if they have seen the news. They tell the PC to find a TV. On the TV will be the same old lady from before presenting a speech. The team or gang of the region will have successfully destroyed one of Nullos’ natural landmarks. She states that security to these landmarks will be increased and promises to bring the perpetrators to justice.
- -“Because they are nothing but symbols of the past. Every other region sees them and only thinks about our past.
- Once they are gone, we can build new monuments. The monuments of our future.”
- Around the second or third gym, the PC first encounters the evil team. Again, they plan on destroying another landmark. The gym leader and their apprentices are trying to stop them and ask for your help. Some of the team members you defeat will mention a woman being angry about the situation. At one point you have a double battle with the gym leader as your partner. Their Pokemon are at a much higher level than your’s. Finally, you reach the (male) leader who refuses to battle you. They say that they know they can wipe the floor with you but the gym leader is the real threat. The gym leader asks why the team is trying to destroy these monuments and the leader responds with the above quote.
- Through your journey, some NPCs will mention how the land was taken from the natives. If the PC checks the TV, there will occasionally be segments on the old lady, the evil team, and Nullos’ history. Some NPCs also talk about how the Rainbow Snake legendary (RSL) will awaken when the region is in trouble.
- At the fifth gym, the PC encounters the evil team again. This time the gym leader is said to be temporarily away on business. The PC attempts to stop them and manages to get to the leader. The leader absolutely sweeps the PC. The gym leader arrives just in time and stops the leader. Again, the leader manages to escape.
- -“You think you’ll become some great hero because you can stop me? Ha! If only it were that easy! We will rise up and we will show this region and the world our strength.”
- Near the sixth or seventh gym will be another landmark. There will also be a Pokemon that is linked in some way to this landmark. The PC and the gym leader join forces to defeat the team, but they fail. The landmark is destroyed. As a result, the encounter rate of the above mentioned Pokemon drops by a significant amount. The team escapes and rush towards their next target. The RSL emerges from the rubble and chases after them, destroying everything man-made in its path.
- The gym leader tells the PC that they will contact the next gym leader to help the PC. Also, they give them a temporary gym badge so that high leveled Pokemon will obey the PC. They’ll have to go back to the gym leader to win the real badge after the trouble is over.
- On the TV, the old lady says that the evil team will be stopped, at all costs.
- When the player reaches the next landmark, there are many policemen and veteran trainers in the area, trying to fight off and stop the evil team. Also, there are reports that the RSL has disappeared. Once the PC reaches the leader, the leader will say the above quote and a battle will begin. The PC’s Pokemon are around the same level as the leader’s. The leader’s final Pokemon is the RSL. After beating defeated, the leader still attempts to destroy the landmark. The RSL comes out of its Pokeball and rampages. The PC manages to escape and the leader is (presumably) killed. The RSL disappears into the sky. It can eventually be found in the rubble of its old home in the post-game.
- -“Why didn’t I do anything? Because there are some things I am not allowed to interfere with.”
- The old lady appears on TV and reports that all members of the team have been captured and are being contained in the three largest cities. The PC goes back to getting all of their badges and goes to challenge the Elite Four. At least one of the Elite Four members mentions not being allowed to fight the team because of the Champion’s orders. When the PC fights the champion, they say the above quote. The PC beats the champion, enters the hall of fame and returns home.
- Challenges to the Elite Four and the champion are temporarily stopped. The New Zealand region opens up. Halfway through exploring it, the PC is called to return to Nullos.
- -“This region is infatuated with the past, and if it refuses to forget it, then all I can do is destroy it and start anew.”
- The team members have escaped their confinement and have taken control of the three largest cities. The PC must go to each city to help free them. Again, there are many policemen and veterans fighting against them. The gym leaders and the Elite Four are also fighting against the team. The champion and the old lady have gone missing.
- At the last city to be saved, the PC encounters the still-living leader of the team. They have a battle and the PC wins. The champion appears and explains that they stopped the Elite Four from fighting the team before because of their strength. The PC fights the champion. After defeating the champion, the old lady appears. She explains that she has been helping the team by removing security from the landmarks, and she tells the PC about her hatred towards everyone’s obsession with Nullos’ past. She uses the above quote. She has the highest leveled Pokemon of the region. After being defeated, the gym leaders, Elite Four, and some policemen arrive. The leader, champion, and the old lady are arrested and taken away.
- A new champion is chosen to lead the Elite Four (possibly one of the Elite Four members), which the PC can battle, and there are mentions on the TV of a change in government with an emphasis of protecting Nullos’ natural landmarks. The story ends and the player is now free to do what they want.
