nostalgia is bad

I think the type of gamers who make me the most mad are the ones who honestly believe that there haven't been any games as good as the ones that came out during the years <their childhood starts> to <their childhood ends>.

Nostalgia is one of the worst types of bias in gaming that ends up leading to people who only play a small core set of games and never explore anything outside of that group.

Why have new experiences when you could just relive the *same* X years worth of content every X years until you drop dead?
