  1. The 7 deadly sins.
  2.
  3. I belive in karma to some extent. In cousing misery, I belive you yourself will be or “are” miserable,. I dont think many people became serial killers becouse they were so “happy” to begin with, but while the serial killer may find “gratification” in his..... hobby, it leads to a desire for more death, more destruction, like a drug making the person never be content unless at the very moment it is “killing”. The rest of the time the said person is probably worried about the police/angry relatives of victims, or just worried about being stopped. To me that certainly does not sound awesome.
  4. 7 deadly sins are ultimately reptilian, making us “less” then what our potential holds. From what I gather, they originate inour reptilian brain, mendula ablumgata. Primal urges that have been with us since we evolved from reptiles. They are not bad, not at all, what I am saying is that they are short sighted. It is the desire to have “more” of anything, regardless of how much you have.
  5. Be the “best”, get the most “food”, get the most “money”, women/men and so on.
  6.
  7. Wrath: Wrath has its uses, defend your family/friends/yourself from danger, but it is an instinct and as such, not very well thought out. You get a bill that you dont find fair, yell at the gas attendant for no reason, he gets mad/hurt becouse he didnt find that getting yelled at fair, does not yell at you, he yells at his wife and kid which in turn take it out on someone else. Make no mistake about it “unfairness” spreads, violence begets violence and misery leads to misery if it isnt stopped. Eye for an eye and the world goes blind, tooth for a tooth and nobody will ever eat anything again.
  8.
  9. Gluttony: It is very easy to get into the habit of being a glutton, in fact I belive “western” society is saturated with it. Even the “health ministries” tell us to eat so much food we will be obese in no time if we dont exercise to get rid of the fat. Eat more then you need, get fat, buy diet pills and a gym card to get rid of fat, work more or get a more high paying job to support your addiction to “more then you need of food”. In reality all you need to do to stay thinner is “eat less” or rather “eat just what you need”. The food on this planet is finate, this planet is overpopulated and if you eat too much, somebody will in the end starve. Now, by extention, I consider “hoarding food” an extention of gluttony. “More then I need” will in all likelyhood be “enough”, but you'll be forced to throw out some of the rotting food in your fridge in the end.
  10.
  11. (etc etc)
  12.
  13. All of thease are aspects of what I choose to call the primal sin, desire for more then you need. Wanting food to eat is not a sin, throwing your food away while someone starves near you might be however. In the end all of the “desires for more then you need” lead to suffering, and as the world suffers so will you in one way or another.
