  1. Me and a few friends went to a convention not to long ago. We had done a favor and taken along a friend of a friend, whom I'll dub Q, figuring since it was her first con and all it would be kind of a special treat. We were staying in a hotel room and I had brought my cat, having not been able to find someone to take care of her while I was gone. It was no big deal to anyone and I asked ahead of time if anyone was allergic or the like. This will be important later.

  3. Well, I was cosplaying Equius at the time and was rather proud of my cosplay. Apparently though, Q really hated Equius. She proceeded to bitch at me the entire day about how much I sucked and how stupid and ugly I was. Along with insulting me in broken Japanese, commenting on how horrible it was that anyone would cosplay from a western series and told several people who stopped me for a picture how 'un-kawaii' I was. I tried to enjoy myself, but it was hard.

  5. That night, she decided that since my cat belonged to me, she hated her as well, going as far as to shove her off the bed while she was sleeping innocently and yelling at her loudly. I just decided I'd keep my cat in her carrier at night so she wasn't in the way. The next day, I split from the group, not wanting to deal with her and wanting to have fun. I had fun up until I got a frantic call from my best friend. Apparently Q had let my cat out of its carrier and had thrown her out of the room. I immeditly dropped what I was doing to run around and try and find my cat.

  7. About ten minutes of searching later, I found her. She had gotten outside and had been hit by a car. I held her in my arms, sobbing and singing 'You are my sunshine' to her as she died, compleatly torn that such a terrible thing had happened. At some point, Q had found her way out to were I was and made some comment about how she guessed that I wasn't so strong after all. After that, I took her back to her house, telling her she could find her own room and get her own ride and that I want nothing to do with her. All the way back, she whined and cried, telling me how unfair and un-kawaii I was being. When she was home, she slammed the car door, muttering how much of a baka I was being over a stupid cat.
