There's a part of the meteor no one really goes to.

There's nothing there. 'The great expanse of nothing' they call it. But nothing is such a vague statement, and almost always incorrect.

There lives an abandoned woman in an abandoned building, both slowly being fixed. She's the reason people are still able to stay on the meteor. She's the reason the timeline still exists. And it's rumored that when it's cold, and it's the middle of the night, you can hear her in town, hanging around the old laboratory.

She's made her life the way she wants it. She's alone, but only in the sense of a lack of people physically there. In her memories, she'll always have her friends. And if she truly gets lonely, friendship is only one long distance call to hell away.

She's lost a whole lot in her life, more than most. Most of the time she felt like just an observer to her own story. That feeling, it killed her. She was powerless and lifeless. But eventually she found, she could take control of her life.

She messed up, god did she. So badly she fought on the wrong side of a war. And she's still bound to mess up. However, that's not where her story ends.

She's fighting for the light. Even if she doesn't live in the light anymore, she knows what it feels like. It's the most beautiful feeling in the world. She fights for that feeling.

So to those who wander: follow the light. Follow that feeling, and never let it out of your sight. But in the absence of light?
