Calm Before The Storm

We've managed to rescue a sixth human, a British pilot named Charles. He's... sort of eccentric, to put it in a good way. He seems to collect rocks and is not very brave, but I've assured him that I won't let him die. I hope I can make good on that promise... he also seems to have a bit of an odd thing about family. It seems he's asked a few of us about ours. 'You can tell a lot about someone from the family they keep track of', hm? He only follows his mother, I wonder if he was trying to tell us something about himself?

Elsa is... hiding greater pain than I thought, I think, though I suspect she is trying to deny it so we do not get distracted. Or maybe convincing herself she is made of steel and not flesh.

In the meantime... we think the captain is captured by another one of the generals. This is not good at all, but hopefully means he is alive. We may have to prepare for the worst... I will try and convince myself not to worry too much...

At the very least, we have plenty of jam to keep us in pleasant moods? Right? Probably not so much. Still, treats have their own benefits and it will be good to see my skills be put to the test to rescue Rudiger...
