  1.
  2. Grace Leonhardt has connected.
  3. Mike has connected.
  4. Narrator has connected.
  5. Avara has connected.
  6. Narrator: DNA, be sure to use the Character Creator macro to stat up your Aron.
  7. Avara: it's a very fancy macro
  8. DNA: Ah, okay
  9. java.lang.NullPointerException error executing expression token.name = x.
  10. Player 1 - P: 1+2+4+0=7
  11. DNA: That took a...disgustingly long amount of time to use that macro
  12. Avara: shorter than filling it out manually, i assure you.
  13. DNA: I don't know if it was because of the nature of the macro itself, or because there were so many fields to input.
  14. Narrator: Yet it does everything you'd ever need it to do in a much shorter time than filling it in yourself in edit.
  15. DNA: No, manually would have been about the same amount of time.
  16. Avara: no, see, it calculates some stuff too.
  17. Narrator: ^
  18. Narrator: What you answered filled over 90 properties.
  19. Narrator: In about 20 or so questions.
  20. DNA: It calculates some stuff?
  21. DNA: That's cute. So do I.
  22. Narrator: Yes.
  23. Narrator: Hm. Indeed.
  24. Avara: >>
  25. Narrator: I'll be sure to avoid notifying you of convenience in the future, if you so desire.
  26. DNA: I don't know if you intended to do this, but you really insulted my intelligence thoroughly.
  27. Narrator: I did no such thing. If you are insulted I cannot say why.
  28. DNA: I assume nothing. In the end, the end result is that the token is functional regardless, and that's what I care about most.
  29. DNA: So I'll drop it and move on.
  30. Narrator: I merely spent a lot of time perfecting a macro with the sole intention of saving you, and everyone else in the campaign, a lot of time.
  31. DNA: Hm! A fair point.
  32. Narrator: Rob is also still not here.
  33. Actinidia has connected.
  34. DNA: I'm assuming at the start hhere aren't going to be very many bonuses/penalties to our Stats, right
  35. Narrator: Not until combat.
  36. Avara: mm. most modifiers to that stuff would be from items or techniques.
  37. DNA: Wait, what's the difference between Aura and Base Aura?
  38. Narrator: Base Aura is your unmodified Aura stat.
  39. DNA: Before or after I apply level-up points?
  40. Narrator: Aura is your stat after all modifications, including in combat situations.
  41. Narrator: Unmodified in the sense of outside sources and pokemon abilities.
  42. Narrator: Someone point Rob to the macro plz.
  43. DNA: Basic > Character Creator under the Campaign tab. ASsuming he hasn't found it already.
  44. DNA: And ah, okay, so that'd be after level up points. That's what I thought; I was just confused to see it twice.
  45. Avara: mm. basically, base aura is your natural aura. aura is what gets used to calculate macros and stuffs for attacks, dcs, etc
  46. DNA: aha.
  47. Narrator: Lemme know when folks are finished.
  48. DNA: I believe I'm good to go.
  49. Avara: ready to rock and roll all across the block
  50. Player 1 - P: I'm done I think.
  51. Actinidia: Actinidia is done, I think
  52. Avara: Grace, might want to name your human token.
  53. Narrator: Minus your name.
  54. Avara: the token name -is- done on pokemon, grace just needs to reimpersonate.
  55. Avara: rob, your human also needs to be named
  56. Avara: after that we'll be done
  57. Avara: we're good.
  58. DNA: I've already forgotten what stat I add if I'm using an attack with a target number instead of a target stat. It's 3d6+...what?
  59. Narrator: Alright, just for clarification, everyone is good to---
  60. Narrator: A Usage Check uses the higher of your Aura and Strength.
  61. Avara: usage checks use the higher of str or aura
  62. DNA: OK! That's what i thought it was; just wanted to check. Carry on.
  63. Narrator: Dat max(Aura,Strength)
  64. Avara: the joys of a new system~ carry on
  65. Actinidia: Font Test
  66. I believe we are a go!
  67. DNA: I was locked up in my room for a week working on spreadsheet entry! ....also, it's spelt 'minuscule' with a U, not 'miniscule' with an I
  68. Actinidia: Does this blind anyone?
  69. DNA: No, but it'd be easier if it were a bit darker.
  70. Avara: a tad darker would be nice, but it's fine as is
  71. Narrator: No, and Microsoft Word never once corrected Miniscule.
  72. Actinidia: Tad Darker
  73. Avara: *googles miniscule*
  74. Grace Leonhardt: Nope.
  75. Narrator: Is Miniscule a variation of spelling? And really this should've been brought up last year.
  76. DNA: No, it's not a variant. And if the document size is large enough, it'll just stop checking spelling errors.
  77. Avara: miniscule is adjective
  78. Avara: minuscule is noun
  79. DNA: Wait, what?
  80. Avara: minuscule is a noun. minuscule script.
  81. DNA: The word spelt as 'miniscule' isn't even in my dictionary
  82. DNA: Yeah, as in the opposite of majuscule
  83. Narrator: I literally copied the word from D&D. It's spelt that way there as well.
  84. Avara: i guess you need a new dictionary.
  85. Narrator: I had to check how Wizards of the Coast spelled it just now.
  86. DNA: Checked the dictionary on the internet
  87. Narrator: I'm just going to begin! We can go over this during not-game-time.
  88. DNA: miniscule is adjective only and variant spelling. Minuscule is still the preferred.
  89. DNA: OKAY, I AM DONE WITH GRAMMARSPIEL.
  90. Once upon a time - long, long, ago - in a far off land beyond our wildest dreams...
  91. I'm lying! This isn't a story about fantasy or anything! It's a story about a man! In todays age! 2017 AD.
  92. A man and three women, actually. In Washington, D.C. Located off the Marc Train at the Lombard Convention Center.
  93. Our story begins with a tale of number crunching, drama, terrible financial management and lots of anime, sports, video games and really, really entitled, mean-spirited, obnoxious creatures called human beings.
  94. Once such human being, a lad by the name of Pierce "Mars" Oswell, has managed to snag a rather lucrative job in Security for the yearly Otakon event, now located in D.C., for a mere 11.75 per hour.
  95. DNA: Wow. That's a whole dollar less than I make now.
  96. Grace Leonhardt: Ha, jokes on you I make about 11.75 less than that. Haha, kill me.
  97. Did I say lucrative? I did, didn't I? Well, for what it's worth, he gets to see a ton of people make a fool of themselves, enjoy themselves in wonky outfits, excellent gaming tournaments and fantastic sweaty debaunchery (sp?)!
  98. DNA: (debauchery)
  99. With him on this joyous occassion are three women - his friends even! They're here to enjoy the festivities while he slaves away. Perhaps they'll even bring him gifts and shower him in bro fists (bra fists?) and chili dogs. Did I forget to mention he's meeting some of these women for the first time? Well, in person anyway.
  100. Narrator: We move our awkward introduction to the front (and only) entrance to the Lombard Convention Center where Pierce stands at attention in his swag business suit, checking the identification of and and every lunatic that attempts to enter the building. No Otakon badge, no entry. For any reason.
  101. Narrator: Today is Saturday, July 22nd, and it is a vibrant 81 degrees F at a lovely orange-blue sky of 11:30 AM, bearing a humidity of 70 degrees.
  102. Narrator: To put it lightly, it's hot. And the humidic pressure feels like you're getting half your daily intake of hydration through your pores.
  103. Narrator: There lies a crowd of fantastically, and horribly, dressed men, women and children at the entrance of the building awaiting their turn to be visually scanned by the security guy. Amongst this crowd are...
  104. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leanhardt.
  105. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia Preston
  106. Etna Tracey: And Burn Gels (Burn Heal)
  107. Etna Tracey: And Etna Tracey
  108. Etna Tracey: (( whoop ))
  109. Avara: someone impersonated a me!
  110. DNA: lol Burn Heal
  111. Narrator: Feel free to things~
  112. Etna Tracey: Etna is dressed up as Korra, from the second Avatar series, and is enjoying the convention. It's her first time going to a convention at all, let alone one so big as Otakon. She walks up to Pierce, waving. "Hey, how's the work going? Anyone throw anything at you yet?"
  113. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "I always expect them too, but no one has yet. Maybe they're afraid I'll drop it? Or that they don't have anything to throw."
  114. Etna Tracey: "You know, despite that you play American Football and all, I wasn't sure if I believed you when you said how big you are."
  115. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Well, I'm hardly a giant, but it does take a lot to keep in shape. I've seen people my size half over before. It's pretty impressive. And daunting."
  116. Etna Tracey: "Yeah, no kidding. It takes a lot of work, but it's worth it. Have you seen Act or Grace yet?"
  117. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace was in her Serina cosplay, pink bag, hat, her con pass and all. "Good to see you two! Sorry, it took a bit to figure out where we were meeting."
  118. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia followed along behind Etna, only slightly delayed as she worked her way through the crowds. "I don't think I've seen this many people in the same place before! Etna helped me get here, great to meet you all in person."
  119. Etna Tracey: "Hey, girls! Good to see you both are doing alright. I was starting to think I'd have to dive in the ocean of geeks to find you."
  120. Sailor Venus: A girl with long, flowing blond hair in a mostly plastic yellow sailor outfit walks up between the girls and Pierce. She peers into the convention behind him.
  121. Actinidia Preston: "If I knew there were this many cosplayers I would have braved up and dressed up myself."
  122. Sailor Venus: "Saaaaaaay, mister guardman. You haven't seen a white cat running around, have you?"
  123. Sailor Venus whispers: You notice she does not have an Otakon badge.
  124. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Nah, thankfully it didn't get to far. It would have been awful considering how crowded this is. I wasn't expecting anything close to this."
  125. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Can't say that I have, ma'am. Where's your Otakon badge?"
  126. DNA: I swear this has to be a reference to something.
  127. Avara: white cat is sailor venus's animal companion
  128. DNA: Thank you
  129. Sailor Venus: Sailor Venus looks down at herself and looks stunned for a moment, "O-Oh, I uh, didn't get one yet. I was standing in the super hooge line when my cat, Blanca, ran off."
  130. DNA: That's what I thought it'd be.
  131. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "You'll have to go back and get one, then. If I see it, I'll bring it down to the Lost & Found, though. Does it have any identifiable features? Like a collar?"
  132. Sailor Venus: "Oh! Yah. He's got a crescent moon collar. Says "Artemis" but his names Blanca. He's all white with yellow eyes."
  133. Sailor Venus: "You uhm, you keep pets at the lost and found? That's uh, kinda...awesome."
  134. Sailor Venus: "He's declawed though! So no worries of scratches!"
  135. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "It's big enough that we keep almost everything there. I've seen crazier things at Otakon."
  136. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "But for the time being, I'll have to ask you to leave the convention area until you can pick up a badge."
  137. Sailor Venus: Sailor Venus pouts a bit, "Oh uhm, okay. I'll go back to the hoogeness."
  138. Actinidia Preston: "I hope you find him."
  139. Sailor Venus: Sailor Venus walks back to toward the ticket booths located at the side of the building. With the lines stretching, quite literally, down the street and around the corner.
  140. Etna Tracey: "Cute kid. Hopefully she can find her pet alright."
  141. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "If I see it, I'll deliver it myself if I have to. Nothing quite like being disappointed twice in one day."
  142. Actinidia Preston: "You got the whole badge thing sorted out, right Etna? I don't want to wait in that line either."
  143. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Oh... I hope they find the poor thing. It might be freaking out from how many people there are around here..."
  144. DNA: You'd better have your badge; I don't play favorites!
  145. * Etna Tracey takes a moment to adjust her badge so no security types have to ask. Like her net-buddy Pierce.
  146. Narrator: Also, feel free to explore, chat, buy stuff, or whatever.
  147. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Is there some place you'd rather go or see? We don't have to stand around here all day."
  148. Narrator: You're free to engage in this day for as long as you like (or until the hours in the day run out).
  149. Narrator: When people are ready to skip to the next day, we'll move to your hotel rooms.
  150. DNA: "Go to bed?" "Save your game?"
  151. Actinidia Preston: ((is there a map? BM001))
  152. Etna Tracey: "Maybe we can go to a panel of some kind? I don't know. Do any of you actually know how conventions work?"
  153. Narrator: There is no map. I only make combat maps.
  154. Avara: we're doing this AEB-style. maps are primarily battlefields.
  155. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia rubbed her chin, "Hm hm.... I wouldn't mind seeing a technical panel. Anything on sound editing."
  156. Etna Tracey: "I think I saw something about a concert later tonight. But I'm curious about the merch booths, and seeing what else is going on. We might want to plan ahead--with this many people, the lines are probably eternal.""
  157. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Oh, is there a directory thingy that we can see to see what stuffs going on ? Oh! Yeah, merch is something to look at."
  158. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "There should be lists and maps of panels somewhere. I have seen a few people walking around with maps, wondering what panels are where."
  159. * Etna Tracey flips her badge around backwards. "Isn't there supposed to be a map on these things?"
  160. Actinidia Preston: "Lets go look for one of those." Actinidia searched around the entry for maps or pamphlets.
  161. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "I doubt they could make the map that small and still be legible."
  162. Human Grace Leonhardt: Seeing the directory behind peirc, she'll pull out her pohne, and take a quick photo of the thing. Though she'll follow Actinidia's suit.
  163. Etna Tracey: "Fair enough."
  164. Etna Tracey: Etna also follows the others, curious what might be going on. She's kind of aimless at this convention thing, but she does stop to ask for pictures from some of the better cosplayers.
  165. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia Preston steps into the convention center proper. The entry hall is large and coupled with fast food restaurants and businesses. Chipotle, McDonalds, Starbucks, etc. have Kiosks lined along the walls of the entry way and while the lines aren't incredible, there's at least four people in line at each kiosk. The reception desk has three people manning it with event planners littered along their desks. People aren't actively engaging them.
  166. Actinidia Preston: There's a red hallway leading deeper into the convention center from the entry hall, as well as escalators leading up to a green hallway and down into a blue hallway.
  167. Actinidia Preston: "Ugh, McDonalds. Never again..." Actinidia mumbled to herself. She made her way to the reception desk to grab an event planner, glancing over the events.
  168. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Not a fan?"
  169. DNA: And then I just flashbacked to about 3 or 4 days ago
  170. DNA: That was strangely topical.
  171. Actinidia Preston: "Not since I got food poisoning. Anyway, I see a music video competition and a Smash tourney starting in 10 minutes."
  172. Etna Tracey: "Oh, that sounds like a good show."
  173. Human Grace Leonhardt: I'm more neutral on McD's personally. Though I'mma go see that. I sure as hell can't play in that and expect to win, but it sure sounds like a spectacle."
  174. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "They say Hungrybox might actually win this year, but we'll see what happens when it plays out."
  175. Etna Tracey: "Do they still allow sign-ups?"
  176. Narrator whispers: Entries require you to sign up 2 hours a head of time, minimum, to be able to prepare a video. You're only allowed to make videos on site.
  177. Actinidia Preston: "They've got live action movies playing in pink east, maybe we can find a good kung fu flick. Anime movies to the west, and shows to the north."
  178. Narrator whispers: As far as entry goes into the tournament, you need to sign up at least 30 minutes in advance.
  179. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "From what I remember hearing, the video contest requires a 2-hour advance signup. As for the Smash contest, it's 30 minutes."
  180. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "That's probably to allow time to make the video, so...not this close to the deadline, unfortunately."
  181. You whisper to Narrator: Does my character just have magical knowledge of everything Otakon-related just because I thought about being a security guard?
  182. Narrator whispers: Essentially. You're expected to have certain knowledge as security.
  183. Etna Tracey: "I'm gonna go see if I can sign up for the Smash tournament, then. Even if I don't go far, I might as well try. Which smash is it?"
  184. Etna Tracey: "I know they still love melee, but 4 was pretty good."
  185. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Wii U, that one I'm pretty sure about."
  186. Actinidia Preston: "I'll root for you."
  187. Etna Tracey: Etna looks at the map, and then heads towards the place the Smash tourney's gonna happen.
  188. Etna Tracey: "Thanks! Good luck with your own things too!"
  189. Human Grace Leonhardt: "I'll join if it's 4, but if it's Melee, I'll pass. It's too much to go against anyone that knows what they're doing."
  190. You whisper to Narrator: Am I allowed to make a Perception (Sight) test for any reason? If so, what stats would I be using?
  191. Actinidia Preston: "I wonder. With game tournaments sometimes you have a few rounds of casual players before they get filtered out. It's worth a try." Actinidia began to lead the group there before they lost any more time.
  192. Narrator whispers: Your pokemon stats and sure.
  193. Narrator: Actinidia leads the group through the red hall into a large gaming area. There's several stations setup all around, from Naruto through up to Smash - though the only consoles are the recent ones (XBOX One, PS4, Wii-U). There's a singular camtron, large enough to be the kind used at football stadiums, centered near the back. It has a countdown to the start of the Smash tournament. 5:15.
  194. You whisper to Narrator: I feel compelled to follow up that white cat thing. So here's a Perception sight test: 16
  195. You whisper to Narrator: No doubles.
  196. Avara: 5 hours 15 minutes, or 5 minutes 15 seconds?
  197. DNA: five minutes fifteen seconds
  198. Narrator: minutes:seconds
  199. Avara: not enough time to sign up, then?
  200. DNA: Acti mentioned earlier it was going to start in 10 minutes, so I'm going off that
  201. * Etna Tracey approaches the sign-up booth to see if it's still open, despite the time.
  202. Narrator whispers: You spot "Artemis" sitting on a Sreet Fighter 5 table.
  203. Human Grace Leonhardt: She'll try to join in as well, because peer presure, and who doesn't like a good Super Smash now and then?
  204. You whisper to Narrator: I'll try to make my way over there. I assume I can gain access to the area? If so, I'll try to calm the cat down before going to pick it up.
  205. Narrator: The Smash tournament ended sign-ups about 25 minutes ago.
  206. Avara: okay.
  207. Etna Tracey: "Well... I guess we could watch? Damn..."
  208. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: Pierce "Mars" Oswell makes his way over to the Street Fighter 5 table and attempts to calm a white cat.
  209. Pierce "Mars" Oswell whispers: Communication (Persuasion)
  210. You whisper to Narrator: 11
  211. You whisper to Narrator: No doubles.
  212. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: Pierce "Mars" Oswell manages to calm the cat and gets a hold of him.
  213. Narrator: I am at a loss as to how to describe characters watching a gaming tournament. I did not think this far ahead.
  214. Actinidia Preston: "Is that Artemis?"
  215. Narrator: The tournament will lasts until roughly 2 pm, however.
  216. DNA: There are a lot of monitors, excitement, and pointing out gaming strategies.
  217. DNA: Having watched VGC 2011 at Worlds that year, that is my frame of reference.
  218. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "It is, yeah. I'm going to go find that girl. Hopefully she's near the entrance."
  219. DNA: Oh, and there are usually noise-cancelling headphones for the players.
  220. Etna Tracey: "Hm... hey, are there any events we CAN still sign up for?"
  221. * Etna Tracey reaches for the planner thing to check.
  222. Actinidia Preston: "It looked like she had to go around the block, to the back of hte line."
  223. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Then I'll be right back."
  224. Etna Tracey: "Pierce, you told her the cat'll be in the lost and found. She might be back there."
  225. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "Right! Good thinking. I'll check there first."
  226. * DNA goes off in the indicated direction.
  227. * Etna Tracey heads over to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 area, and checks for a registration booth there.
  228. DNA: Forgot to impersonate for that, but you get the idea.
  229. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace will follow after Elna, because she wants to see what a competitive game of that actually looks like.
  230. Narrator whispers: You will find her, in time. It'll take you 35 minutes. To both get there, deliver the cat and to return. Barring any extended conversation.
  231. Narrator whispers: You will discover that Sailor Venus' name is Kira Borg.
  232. Narrator: There are openings in the Ninja Storm 3 tournament. In it you have to place your real name, age, sex, character and outfit.
  233. Etna Tracey: Etna Tracey, 23, Female, Tenten, default.
  234. You whisper to Narrator: I will make a note of that information! Do I just return to where the other characters are, or do I wait for that time frame to pass.
  235. Narrator whispers: Will need to wait for the frame to pass.
  236. You whisper to Narrator: Understood; I'll await the signal.
  237. Narrator: Anyone else signing up?
  238. Narrator: That'll also be the best 2 out of 3 matches with default handicap and a 3 minute timer on matches.
  239. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt, 22, Female, Selena
  240. Avara: character you're playing, not cosplaying
  241. DNA: I didn't think there was a Selena in Naruto...
  242. Actinidia Preston: "All I'm going to do is button mash, but maybe I can figure it out." Actinidia Preston, 23, female, random, random
  243. Narrator: lo
  244. Human Grace Leonhardt: (Daw f*ck sorry I brain farted. Naruto* >.)
  245. Narrator: This'll be fun.
  246. Narrator: Shall I fast forward to the event itself?
  247. Avara: i'm good with it
  248. Actinidia Preston: yes
  249. Narrator: DNA will be back in time to sign up if he wants (though he'll not be paid for his time during the event - that's about 24-36 dollars)
  250. Avara: DNA?
  251. DNA: Nah, I won't be signing up
  252. DNA: I do better watching things than playing them anyway!
  253. Narrator: Alright then, the Smash tournament ends at....
  254. DNA: Naruto tourney, you mean?
  255. Narrator: 2:16 with the NSUNS3 tournament starting at 2:45.
  256. DNA: Never mind
  257. Narrator: For this, you'll need to use your pokemon character tokens.
  258. Avara: ha~.
  259. Narrator: We'll do this as a series of contested rolls (unless you want to just skip it)
  260. Avara: let's roll it. it's a good chance to get used to checks.
  261. Narrator: NSUNS3 has a sign up of 28 players.
  262. Narrator: It'll be Advanced Tests.
  263. Narrator: Starting at TN7 with a Threshold of 5 and ending at TN13 with a Threshold of 10.
  264. Narrator: How to players feel?
  265. Actinidia: I'd like to try out the advanced tests
  266. Avara: let's dance.
  267. Narrator: Alright then, we'll begin with...Grace.
  268. Narrator: All of these will be be either Cunning or Perception tests (whichever you choose)
  269. Human Grace Leonhardt: Aye Aye! So what do I need to roll?
  270. Narrator: Okay so, look at your token and find the higher of your Cunning and Perception.
  271. Narrator: Take that number and click the Ability Test macro and enter that number.
  272. Narrator: The TN7 means your roll total needs to at least equal 7. And your Pokemon Die, the red one, will add up toward a total of whatever the Threshold is (in this case 5).
  273. Human Grace Leonhardt: 1+1+2+3=7
  274. Narrator: Your first opponent will be Brenden.
  275. DNA: This is meticulously involved. I love it.
  276. Brenden: 4+3+5+0=12
  277. Human Grace Leonhardt: Roll again?
  278. Brenden: (( Alright, so you have a threshold of 1 and Brenden has a threshold of 4 so far. Roll again. ))
  279. Human Grace Leonhardt: 2+6+4+3=15
  280. Brenden: 4+3+6+0=13
  281. Narrator: Grace: 3
  282. Brenden: 8
  283. Narrator: While obviously more skilled in the game, Grace was playing a mid-tier character Naruto while Brenden was playing a top-tier character, The Masked Man. As a result, he was able to _luck_ his way through the matches until he one the 3 round.
  284. Narrator: Grace (Serena) has be defeated and lost the tournament. She is, however, still able to watch.,
  285. Josie: Actinidia will face off against Josie. TN7, Threshold5
  286. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace may still be a bit salt, but she'll root for the dude that beat her as well as her friend.
  287. Actinidia: 5+6+5+2=18
  288. Josie: 6+2+6+0=14
  289. Josie: (( Actually wow, Josie doesn't even get a chance. ))
  290. Avara: thoroughly rekt
  291. Actinidia Preston: ((Oh? I figured we'd both roll and the highest would win ties))
  292. Narrator: (( Nah, first roll goes first. ))
  293. Narrator: Actinidia, after watching Graces match, catches on to the mechanics and exploits used by Brenden and then, used those against Josie. With two near-perfects in the first 2 matches, Josie was thoroughly kicked from the tournament.
  294. Jake: Etna faces off against Jake. TN7, Threshold 5.
  295. Etna: 2+3+1+2=8
  296. Jake: 6+6+6+0=18
  297. Actinidia Preston: "I'm glad I brought my lucky wand. It's made of Mahogany."
  298. Avara: SATAN
  299. Jake: (( WOW. ))
  300. Avara: Jake is later discovered to have been using a cheat device.
  301. DNA: LOLOLOLOLOL
  302. Narrator: Jake, playing as Kiba, manages to literally gain two perfect victories against Etna. Etna is kicked from the tournament. The only one remaining at this point is Actinidia.
  303. Actinidia Preston: "What was this character's name again?"
  304. Narrator: Actinidia moves on to the next round. TN9 Threshold 7.
  305. Etna Tracey: "Ow... guess I should work on my zoning."
  306. Actinidia Preston: 5+2+1+2=10
  307. Lily: 1+3+4+1=9
  308. Lily: (( Roll again. ))
  309. Actinidia Preston: 5+1+3+2=11
  310. Avara: act lemme look at your pokemon die a moment
  311. Avara: =p
  312. Lily: 3+3+2+1=9
  313. Narrator: Actinidia manages to stay above 75% health as she floors Lily in the first two rounds.
  314. Actinidia Preston: "I bought this want at Ren Fest, Wisconsin two years back. I swear it's actually magic sometimes."
  315. DNA: Where did you get that die and do you have any left?
  316. Actinidia Preston: ((I said, it's the magic wand))
  317. Narrator: TN11, Threshold 9
  318. Narrator: You face off against Brad.
  319. Actinidia Preston: 1+5+6+2=14
  320. Brad: 4+3+3+2=12
  321. Avara: come on wand, don't fail us now!
  322. Brad: (( Roll again. ))
  323. Actinidia Preston: 5+3+1+2=11
  324. Brad: 6+2+3+2=13
  325. Avara: that's that, then. but congrats on getting so far in!
  326. DNA: I don't think so. Isn't the pokemon die only counted if you roll higher?
  327. Narrator: Brad manages to snatch a come back victory in the second round, after thoroughly winning the first round. Actinidia's winning streak ends in the semi finals. She gets a participation award and running up award.
  328. DNA: or am I not reading advanced tests correctly?
  329. Actinidia Preston: "Ach. It was a good show, cheers."
  330. Actinidia Preston: ((It only counts if your total roll is higher than the TN))
  331. Narrator: No, it's succeeding the test at all. Your pokemon die counts towards the threshold.
  332. Avara: it's first to target
  333. Narrator: (( What Actinidia said. ))
  334. DNA: Ah, it's succeeding vs the test, not vs your opponent. Got it.
  335. Avara: and this is why it was important to roll it out~
  336. Avara: now we know.
  337. DNA: I knew it was in my memory; I just forgot the particulars of how it played out
  338. Narrator: Actinidia is awarded a wall scroll of her character used and a figurine of her character (which iirc was Shikimaru).
  339. Etna Tracey: "Good job, Act. For someone who doesn't actually know the series, you played Shikamaru pretty well."
  340. Actinidia Preston: "I lucked through the first round, after that I started figuring things out. Maybe I'm better at action games than I thought." Actinidia said, feeling rather proud of herself.
  341. Etna Tracey: "Might be something from your music talent carrying over. Fighting, and fighting games, kinda depends on predicting what your opponent's gonna do. So you can have the counter already in motion."
  342. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, you went way further than I did. I got bodied."
  343. Etna Tracey: "You might've tuned into their rhythm or something."
  344. Etna Tracey: "That Jake guy destroyed me completely. I didn't even land a hit... don't know HOW, but that's how it went."
  345. Actinidia Preston: "I don't actually work on music." Actinidia said, her attention grabbed as soon as her career choice came up, "I collect sounds.
  346. Actinidia Preston: ((oops))
  347. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: "For not knowing much about fighting games, you did surprisingly well. I thought you were going to make it into the quarterfinals, myself."
  348. Etna Tracey: "Ah, my bad."
  349. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia lauched into an explaination about the nuances of sound recording in the field with an excited smile on her face.
  350. Etna Tracey: Etna listens to it with interest--it was related to how they'd actually met, but she didn't have a grasp on the particulars.
  351. Narrator: (( Sorry, had a suddenl charley horse or however its spelled. Catching up on what I missed ))
  352. Avara: muscle rebellion
  353. DNA: That is how it's spelt, yes
  354. Actinidia Preston: "So I think I did a good job catching sound cues and predicting attacks that way. I got the feeling most people were watching for physical tells, but I have a pretty good ear; I listened."
  355. Etna Tracey: "Right." Etna nods, then looks back to Grace. "Anything you want to do?"
  356. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace will shrug. "Honestly, I was thinking of checking out the merch and then maybe going to go see what movies or shows are playing."
  357. Etna Tracey: "That sounds good to me."
  358. Actinidia Preston: "I'm up for anything. I'll have a better idea of what I want to do by tomorrow."
  359. Narrator: Merchandise can be found on the blue level, upstairs.
  360. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Worse case senario, this is just a window shoping day if you're not seeing anything that you need to immediately get." To blue she'll go.
  361. Actinidia Preston: "Capitalism!" Actinidia heads to the blue level.
  362. * Etna Tracey ascends to Blue Level state.
  363. Etna Tracey: "We'll find something, I'm sure."
  364. DNA: Pierce will follow along, keeping his eyes and ears peeled, as he does.
  365. Narrator: The blue level is a scenic level shaped like a giant square. Lined along the outer square are tables and kiosks of people selling various goods. Posters, manga, comics, figurines, trophies, costumes, movies, games, etc. can all be found in various kiosks.
  366. Narrator: Along the inner square is the overlook allowing you to see into the upper and lower levels of the convention center. You can see the camtron from the red area below and some pg related content from the pink level above.
  367. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia finds her way to costume pieces.
  368. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace will mainly window shop, though it will be impossible for her to at least not find some kind of pokemon plushie. Probably a fennikin to roll with the cosplay.
  369. Etna Tracey: Etna's going to look for Skyrim stuff, or anything else Norse. Because yes.
  370. Narrator: Those are easy things to find, yes.
  371. Narrator: You're all using digitial money, btw. \o/
  372. DNA: Cashless society! Whoo!
  373. Human Grace Leonhardt: Woo!
  374. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia finds a few items that tempt her, but ultimately her tight budget for this trip keeps her from picking anything out.
  375. DNA: (I'll just be watching, don't mind me)
  376. Jessie (Pokemon): A woman in a red and white outfit alongside a man in a similar outfit suddenly stop and stare at Grace.
  377. DNA: IT BEGINS
  378. James (Pokemon): "Uwaa!! I didn't expect to see her up here!"
  379. Jessie (Pokemon): "Knock it off! It's not like the twerps are with her! Just pretend we don't see her."
  380. Human Grace Leonhardt: She'll stare right back, cradling her new Fennikin plush who's head is sticking out of the bag. "I could say the same! What are you doing here you two?! Up to no good?"
  381. James (Pokemon): "Who do you think we are?!"
  382. Jessie (Pokemon): Jessie (Pokemon) begins to visibly shake, "Mmm. Mmm!"
  383. Human Grace Leonhardt: "I know who you... are? Uh... are you okay?"
  384. James (Pokemon): "N-No. Jessie! Don't do it, not here!"
  385. Jessie (Pokemon): Jessie (Pokemon) suddenly pulls a rose from somewhere. "Prepare for trouble!"
  386. James (Pokemon): James (Pokemon) suddenly does the same without skipping a beat, "Make it double!"
  387. Jessie (Pokemon): "To protect the world with devestation!"
  388. James (Pokemon): "To unite all people within our nation!"
  389. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace couldn't help but break character for a moment in relief, and chuckle, before trying to put on a mask of annoyance.
  390. Jessie (Pokemon): "To denounce the evil of truth and love!"
  391. James (Pokemon): "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
  392. Jessie (Pokemon): "Jessie!"
  393. James (Pokemon): James (Pokemon) chuckles a bit himself, "James."
  394. Jessie (Pokemon): "Team rocket blast off at the speed of light!"
  395. James (Pokemon): "Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
  396. Narrator: Both pause and looks at each other and sighs.
  397. Jessie (Pokemon): "There's nothing like the classic motto, is it?"
  398. James (Pokemon): "No, nothing beats it. But it just isn't the same without Meowth."
  399. * Pierce "Mars" Oswell thinks of the cat he had a moment before. ...Oh well.
  400. Etna Tracey: Etna's been a bit more spendy as she picked up some merchandise, but she walks over to Jessie and James, applauding their act.
  401. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace couldn't help but but have a wide smile on her face. Pulling out her camera, she couldn't help but hold it up for the two. "Can I get a photo? That was too good!"
  402. Etna Tracey: "Maybe a picture of you two fighting her, and I'll take it?"
  403. James (Pokemon): "Oh, I lost my Koffing balloon almost as soon as I got here. But I do have a Poké Ball."
  404. Jessie (Pokemon): "I have my Ekans plushie though. Let's pose!"
  405. Human Grace Leonhardt: "Say cheese you too!"
  406. * Etna Tracey waits for them to get in position. Once they are. "Three.. two... one... Meowth, that's right!" *Click*
  407. Narrator: Both Jessie and James pose, with James holding his Poké Ball ready to throw and Jessie standing behind her Ekans giving orders.
  408. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace snaps a few photos, and eventually drops the phone, and puts it back into her bag. "Thanks a ton. Oh! That's Awesome Etna, can we do that you two?"
  409. James (Pokemon): "Yeah, of course. Wouldn't want to miss the chance to photo battle with a fellow Trainer."
  410. Jessie (Pokemon): "You even have your signature Pokémon, so it's a perfect match."
  411. Human Grace Leonhardt: "yeah, I got super lucky, and found a good one in the merch! Oh, Etna, could you snap the photos and send me it? Oh! And could we get a photo of you too acting like you're booking it with my fennikin?"
  412. Etna Tracey: "Yeah, I'll take the pictures and email them to all of you, if I can get the address for Team Rocket Headquarters."
  413. James (Pokemon): "I'll give you my e-mail."
  414. Jessie (Pokemon): "You mean battle, right?"
  415. Etna Tracey: "Thanks! Nice to meet both of you."
  416. Avara: grace is asking for a battle pic and a stealing-my-pokemon pic
  417. James (Pokemon): "Alright, let's do the battle one first. Ekans is already in position after all."
  418. Human Grace Leonhardt: "heheh!" You got it!" She'll say as she sets her Fennikin into a fighting spot, and strikes a pose.
  419. * Etna Tracey will wait for Jessie to get back in position, if she's moved, before moving around the 'battle' and taking some dynamic pictures.
  420. Narrator: Both Jessie and James shift between their signature rose stances and their battle stances.
  421. Narrator: After enough photos are taken, Jessie will pick up Ekans and James, after asking for permission, will pick up Fennikin and both turn and freeze into running positions away from Grace.
  422. Human Grace Leonhardt: Grace will easily agree to it, and then strike her own chasing pose as well.
  423. * Etna Tracey takes less pictures this time--one from the side, one from behind grace, and one with Team Rocket running towards/past her with Grace in the background.
  424. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia watches with a smile as the "battle" continues.
  425. Etna Tracey: "These are some really great pictures and poses. Thanks again."
  426. Narrator: Once the pictures are done, James will return Fennikin and both will let out a breath of relief.
  427. Jessie (Pokemon): "Running poses are hard to hold. Geez."
  428. James (Pokemon): "Pretty sure we're just out of shape."
  429. Human Grace Leonhardt: She'll gladly take it, and let out her own sigh of relief. "I know what you mean heheheheh. Thanks again by the way!"
  430. Etna Tracey: "Yeah, probably. Do you want any pictures or anything?"
  431. Jessie (Pokemon): "No problem. It's always nice to see good cosplays of trainers around."
  432. James (Pokemon): "You can just send them to my e-mail." James (Pokemon) will jot it down on a post-it-note and hand it to Etna.
  433. Etna Tracey: Etna accepts the email, and hands him hers in return. "So you know who it is. Don't want to get deleted on accident."
  434. James (Pokemon): "Good plan."
  435. Jessie (Pokemon): "We'll be off then. Was on the way to coffee. Been here since the early AM."
  436. Etna Tracey: "I think I saw a shop that way." Etna points.
  437. James (Pokemon): "Maybe we'll see you around with more trainers. That'll be a real photo opportunity!"
  438. Narrator: The two nod and smile before making their way to the escalators. They'll wave goodbye once they start descending.
  439. Etna Tracey: Etna waves back, smiling wide.
  440. Human Grace Leonhardt: "That'd be awsome! Later!" She'll be riding the high from the excitement of that interaction for a while, and even more so considering she didn't realize that she could interact with others like that here.
  441. Narrator: :3
  442. Narrator: Everyone good for a scene transition?
  443. Actinidia Preston: Yes
  444. Human Grace Leonhardt: shore
  445. Etna Tracey: beep beep avajeep
  446. DNA: Go ahead.
  447. Narrator: Alright.
  448. We'll be moving the scene to the hotel.
  449. Narrator: The nearest hotel, Marriott, is where all of you are staying. Booking the rooms in advance, you all were able ot stay near one another. In fact, your rooms are practically side-by-side. Pierces shift ended at 4 PM and thus was able to spend the rest of the event actually participating with all of you rather than being the on-duty follower.
  450. Narrator: The rooms, 4 - 7, are yours for the weekend and after a day of exhaustion reach the hotel - physically drained - but having mostly had a great first day at Otakon.
  451. Actinidia Preston: Actinidia burnt out quickly with all the hustle and bustle of the crowds. It wasn't long after her hotel room door was shut that she became an umoving bed-lump.
  452. Pierce "Mars" Oswell: Pierce was mostly tired from being in the guard/football suit all day. It wasn't prohibitively heavy, but it was still extra weight, weight he was now glad to be rid of. And a fair amount of sweat had collected inside the helmet. He'd need to clean that out.
  453. Human Grace Leonhardt: Being super tiered, Grace flopped onto her bed, tired as one can be. Though her phone was super stuffed from photos taken throughout the day, and holding the little plushy that she's come to really like. A shower before bed was kinda needed though, she's heard of the horror stories of smells, and bugs that can be contracted.
  454. Etna Tracey: Etna hasn't been so glad for her good shape in a long time, having managed to stay energized for most of the time. She still wiped herself out in the end, but she'd been able to make sure everyone actually got to their rooms instead of collapsing on the con floor. With that all done, she'd taken a shower and was now laying in bed, phone nearby to keep in contact with the others while she checked out her merch, or fell asleep, whichever came first.
  455. Sleep seems to easily to the four of you. A great happy day of convention and friendship. The excitement of the days to come for this once a year event was fresh..
  456. Narrator: (( easily come* ))
  457. Though, your sleep is interrupted in the dead of night. A fully darkened starless sky lies overhead.
  458. The sounds of explosions come from all around, rapid-fire and a steady shaking of the earth beneath you - or perhaps just the building itself - you aren't sure.
  459. You can here screeching of rubber - tires you recognize - in the sound of crashing and crunching metal. Unlike the movies of which you only have to associate with, the sounds of screaming were missing. None before, during or even immediately after.
  460. The crackling of fire and the orange-red glow of light from outside could be seen shining against your hotel room window.
  461. Narrator: After a while, the explosions and crashing pause though the rumbling of your building takes a bit of time before it stops shaking.
  462. Narrator: Out in the hallway, you can hear the frantic footsteps of something small, lightweight. Its rapid movement and spaced pats seem to be that of a child.
  463. You whisper to Narrator: I have to ask to be sure, but has the transformation already taken place at this point? Also, what is the dead of night? 2AM?
  464. Narrator: A single high pitched scream erupts just outside of your hotel room door that quickly turns into a gurpling choke followed by several thuds and scrapes.
  465. Narrator whispers: The dead of night is anywhere after midnight and before 3:30 AM.
  466. You whisper to Narrator: Sounds about right, yeah.
  467. Narrator: As you move, you quickly notice something off. Your body doesn't respond the way it should. The room looks different. Feels different. You're lighter (or heavier) than before and...your body...
  468. Narrator: It's changed.
  469. DNA: Or in my case, actually about the same weight. But about four times smaller, so therefore much denser.
  470. Avara: congratulations, you have made a hole in your bed.
  471. DNA: Achievement Unlocked
  472. Actinidia: "...what was that...? My skin feels weird..."
  473. Narrator: Hole In One
  474. Bronze Trophy
  475. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...What the hell!? What's going on outside!?" At this point, Pierce thinks he's dreaming, to explain the sluggishness and inability to move in general.
  476. Etna: Etna is now significantly... longer? taller? Bigger. But, oddly, lighter as well. She falls out of bed trying to figure out what's going on, and has to quickly confront reality just in trying to stand up. A thump rattles the walls when she hits her head on the ceiling, whining a bit.
  477. Pierce Mars Oswell: He definitely heard a scream, so he's making his way towards the door as quickly as he can. But he doesn't move very quickly, so it takes him...almost a whole minute to get to the door. And then finds out the doorknob is far above his head. "Where am I?"
  478. You whisper to Narrator: How long does it take my eyes to adjust to the light (or lack thereof, I suppose)?
  479. Actinidia: "Wait, why is everything grey? I can't see color?! What happened!"
  480. Etna: Etna will make her way towards the door once she's figured out quadrupedal movement, and then she faces her biggest problem: How to get through a human-sized door.
  481. Grace Leonhardt: Grace was scared witless out of her mind from all the sounds, both inside of the building and out. Sitting up, she still realized she didn't raise up all too much. Blinking a few times, she shakily tries to go for a lamb which was on the bedside table... Which she reaches further and further for. She'll eventually flick it on, and start to hyperventilate at the sight of her hand... and then face meeting carpeted floor considering she reached too far for the lamp.
  482. Etna: "What's going on!?"
  483. Narrator whispers: Oh there's plenty of light. I mentioned the orange-red glow against your window. It's lighting your room well enough to see.
  484. Actinidia: It was at that point Actinidia saw her body, and grew very, very quiet.
  485. You whisper to Narrator: Ah, right, I'd forgotten.
  486. Etna: Etna bites the curtain and pulls it aside, looking out the window to see What's Going On.
  487. Pierce Mars Oswell: "My neck is so stiff; how am I going to open the door?" Pierce looks around for a chair or ladder or stool or something to jump onto.
  488. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will fumble over herself, and try to get a better view of herself in the mirror. Seeing her reflection she couldn't help but stare for a while. Her mind had some trouble absorbing the info that was infront of her face. She tried something, and the riolu mimiced her. The more she did though, the more panicky she got.
  489. Narrator: Outside, the streets are in ruins. Some buildings haev holes all over them, the sight of mutilated bodies, debris and smoke everywhere. Where you can see clearly, theres pieces of planes, vehicles of all kinds, street lamps, fire hydrants, etc. You don't recognize any bodyparts to be human though. In fact, from the pieces you can make out entirely, they're oddly shaped and oddly colored.
  490. Narrator: Most things, however, are burning. Not the buildings, but the streets.
  491. Etna: Etna will now attempt to break down her door/wall to get out of the hotel.
  492. You whisper to Narrator: Any chair or other implement I can use to reach for the doorknob?
  493. Etna: "Whatever the hell's going on, I need to see where the others are first!"
  494. Narrator whispers: Yes.
  495. Avara: str test?
  496. Narrator: Etna, attempting to break the door down will be a Strength (Might) test.
  497. Etna: 3+1+5+2=11
  498. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce finds something, a small footstool, and tries to drag it over. Noticing his front limbs are nearly useless since he's been walking on all fours everywhere, he instead moves it over by pushing into it with his head.
  499. Pierce Mars Oswell: In the process, he notices there's something in front of his head shielding his face. "...I thought I took the helmet off..."
  500. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will hesitate for a few moments, before she fumbles with her first few steps on new legs. She'll hold onto the bed, as she fumbles her way to her things to at least see if her things were still there, like her clothes, and especially her phone so she can figure out what's going on.
  501. Actinidia: Actinidia's eyes lift from her body and look around the room again, watching the color flicker in and out with the light outside.
  502. Etna: Etna braces herself before ramming into the door. It makes a loud sound but she lacks knowledge of door weaknesses and the door remains firmly in place. Luckily, however, she doesn't hurt herself in her attempt.
  503. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh crap. What was that noise!?"
  504. Etna: "That didn't work... so, what...?" Etna takes a moment to look over herself. "I'm... some kind of dinosaur. Not heavy enough to break through the wall with just my weight. Not sure if I can fit through the window either..." she looks at the mirror. And her eyes widen as she realizes what she is. "Oh! oh. WHY!? But... Okay. So if I'm that, then..."
  505. Etna: Etna attempts to figure out how to Techniques.
  506. Grace Leonhardt: Hearing the loud bang, Grace will fall over, and scramble to her bag, and rip it open to try and see if she can find her phone to call someone. Seeing it, she'll try to pull it out, and call... anyone.
  507. Actinidia: Actinidia rises to her feet and waddles around her room, getting a feel for her new body.
  508. Pierce Mars Oswell: After some fiddling and failed attempts at jumping, Pierce finally makes it onto the footstool. The doorknob is now just within his reach, and all he needs to do is reach out and turn i-wait. His arms are barely functioning; how's he going to do that?
  509. Narrator: The feeling of aura, its manipulation, its control - comes naturally to you. As natural as moving a muscle - though a new muscle entirely. Firing or using your natural aura (E-Strike) is almost second nature - if not something easily controlled as of yet.
  510. Etna: Etna flexes this 'muscle' against thin air a few times, getting a gist for the energy involved. As best she can in this situation, at least. Then she attempts to E-Strike (Rock) the door, hoping that Rock is Super Effective against walls.
  511. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I guess I'm doing this the old-fashioned way." He hops down from the stool, takes about five steps back, and makes a running charge for the door.
  512. You whisper to Narrator: As I chose to pick up Head Smash at LV1, how (if at all) would that be combined with a Strength (Might) test? Or would I just make it straight and Head Smash doesn't matter?
  513. Narrator: When Grace looks down at her phone to call someone, the number pad looks...looks entirely alien. The numbers are ENTIRELY missing.
  514. Narrator: Instead, she sees....
  515. Ona Tghu Th'aa
  516. Fuia' Fu'a Sugn
  517. Sa'an Eughs Nuna
  518. Puiang Za'u Ssa'
  519. Avara: e-strike to use would be ability test str or au, right?
  520. Narrator: Correct.
  521. Etna: 2+1+1+3=7
  522. DNA: I think you created literal moon runes
  523. Narrator whispers: It would be either or, yes.
  524. Avara: ... i use my stunt points to Knock Prone the door.
  525. Actinidia: Actinidia listens for the others. Perception (hearing)
  526. Actinidia: 2+1+4+3=10
  527. You whisper to Narrator: Just going for the basic Might test then.
  528. Pierce Mars Oswell: 3+1+5+2=11
  529. Actinidia: "H-hello!? Are you all okay?" Actinidia called out toward the others' rooms
  530. Narrator: Roll damage on the door, Etna, as you hit it. However, the door, as it is firmly placed in its area, cannot be knocked prone.
  531. Avara: 8 rock damage to the door's special defense.
  532. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will flip her sh*t and drop her phone, completely clueless on what's going on. Looking through her bags, she couldn't help but freak out at the sight of everything that had writting on it go screwy. Looking to the door of her room, she'll tip toe on the balls of her... paws and put an ear to it to see if whatever made that sound outside is gone.
  533. Avara: ooh, wait!
  534. Avara: i can afford a critical hit
  535. Narrator: Pierce rams into the door, creating another nearly identical loud sound as Etna did. With about as much success.
  536. Narrator: Roll for it, Ava.
  537. Avara: so 6 additional damage
  538. Avara: total is 14
  539. Pierce Mars Oswell: Any noticeable cracks, dents, or other flaws in the door as a result?
  540. Narrator: The door doesn't seem damaged by your attempt to force it down, Pierce.
  541. Narrator: You can clearly hear someone calling you from through the wall, Grace, but whatever made the sounds outside your door seem to be there, if not quieter.
  542. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will wince as she hears another door bust down. Freaking out, she'll scramble back from the door, and fumbles to try and hide behind her bed. Something was making choking noises out there earlier, and doors are being smashed in. Hearing one's name isn't all too comforting to hear in those cases.
  543. Narrator: Etna's door takes some damage from the attack. Pieces of splintered wood fly about the room and the door remains standing, though noticeably weaker. A few more of those would bring it down! Or maybe it's easier to force down with another ram?
  544. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Damn, not enough. I think I need to get more distance."
  545. Etna: Etna looks at where the door looks weakest, and then attempts another ram at that spot.
  546. Etna: 4+4+5+2=15
  547. You whisper to Narrator: Would it be permissible to say that, in trying to gather reserves of strength, I inadvertently use Head Smash in the process?
  548. Narrator whispers: Absolutely.
  549. Narrator: Etna smashes through the door with ease this second go around. Growing more used to her new body and the doors weakened state made it feel as if she had just charged through a sheet of cloth.
  550. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce then starts at a distance even further back. Focusing, taking deep breaths, and relying on his skill and strength as a footballer, he charges at full speed as best he can.
  551. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 7 power.
  552. Pierce Mars Oswell: 3+4+5+2=14
  553. Narrator: You hit the door firmly.
  554. Pierce Mars Oswell: The door has to make a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check with TN12.
  555. Actinidia: Actinidia heads to her door and tries to open it with her tiny hands.
  556. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is recovers 1 power.
  557. DNA: (Forgot about STAB discount for techniques)
  558. * Etna looks at the four there, and steps towards them, trying to see the state of the body between them.
  559. Narrator: When Etna makes it through her door she is (the door fails that test inherently) and is greeted with the sight of four black and red dog looking creatures of various sizes, each sporting some exposed bone on various areas of the body.
  560. Actinidia: ((Can Actinidia open the door?))
  561. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will hesitate for a few moments, before raising up from behind the bed. quivering like a leaf, she'll pull off the bed sheets as a psudo security blanket, and slowly goes to try and open her door.
  562. Narrator: Each of the dogs seem to be biting and chewing on a dead girl. Blood has been sprayed in all directions, as well as on the dogs themselves. From where you are the scent of iron is thick in the air and you can tell from where you are that the blood it still warm.
  563. Pierce Mars Oswell: Moving 11 metres forward in a straight line (I'll say he started from about 3 or 4 back), the door takes 12 Rock penetrating damage, and goes prone.
  564. Narrator: Actinidia can open the door without much hassle. Twisting her body with the knob.
  565. Actinidia: "There we go..."
  566. Actinidia: Actinidia opens the door, and almost immediately regrets it.
  567. Etna: "... I don't know why you four are attacking that kid. It's too late for her now. But I suggest that you leave. Now."
  568. Narrator: The door that Pierce rams into splinters wildly and nearly breaks. It remains in your path, Pierce, but it looks noticeably weakened.
  569. Avara: comm check?
  570. DNA: So I can't pass through it just yet?
  571. Narrator: Not yet, no.
  572. Avara: ok
  573. Pierce Mars Oswell: "One more should do it..." He takes another deep breath, takes a few steps back, and runs at it again. (E-Strike, in this case.)
  574. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+3+3+2=14
  575. DNA: oh jeez
  576. Avara: DESTROY IT
  577. DNA: I have THE CHOICES
  578. Pierce Mars Oswell: Super Critical Hit! Stay Aware!
  579. Narrator: The dog-like creatures look up from their meal as Actinidia opens the door and Etna speaks. They don't look at all happy at being interrupted but also don't immediately attack.
  580. Pierce Mars Oswell: Door takes 12 Rock damage. Then, I Perception (HEaring) with TN 11
  581. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+4+6+3=19
  582. Narrator: The door shatters into pieces of fine wood as Pierce flies out of the room and through it. Puny door is puny.
  583. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will peak outside of her door, wearing her bed's top sheets, though the nearby door breaking down causes her to wince, and try to see what's going on next door.
  584. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Gorrrrrrryaaa!!" he yells in a nearly primal battle cry. A bit less groggy now, but not much the better for wear.
  585. Houndour 2: Houndour 2 looks around as Pierce flies out as well, "Who invited these bozos?"
  586. Narrator: You can clearly see the events going on outside, Grace. The door proves no difficulty for you.
  587. Houndour 3: "You! Back! Off! Off! Back!!"
  588. Houndour 1: Houndour 1 joins in, "Back!! Back! Back!! Off!"
  589. You whisper to Narrator: Any extra results from my Stay Aware? Or is the situation before me just fully obvious and nothing more to add?
  590. Houndour: "Any idea what the hell these things are?"
  591. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will pale at the sight of the houndors and... their choice of meal. She'll mouth to herself, a few silent curse words of disgust from her doorway.
  592. Actinidia: Actinidia glares at the houndors, but does not speak.
  593. Narrator whispers: Ah, that's an exploration stunt. You can't perform that during a combat roll. Stunts are exclusive to their situation.
  594. Etna: "..."
  595. * Etna considers her options.
  596. You whisper to Narrator: Stay Aware is under the combat list for me
  597. Etna: "Yeah, no. I can't forgive this."
  598. You whisper to Narrator: page 132
  599. Houndour 2: "I ain't sure what we are. But they ain't us. We're dining here. Unless you want to be next on the menu."
  600. Houndour 2 whispers: a moment
  601. Etna: Etna gathers up the energy she'd shown before, bundling up as much of it as she could manage, aiming to hit all four of the child-murdering dogs.
  602. Etna: Technique: Powder Snow. Burst 3.
  603. Avara: sorry
  604. Avara: burst 2
  605. Houndour 2 whispers: Okay yeah. You're aware of the 4 houndour, both etna and actinidia (and recognize them thusly as who they were previously), and that the houndour are eating a 6 year old girl.
  606. Grace Leonhardt: Grace couldn't help but notice the other pokemon were actually talking back, and didn't seem all too happy about helping out with the killing, so she slowly steps out of the doorway willing to fight off the dogs from letting this get any worse.
  607. Etna: 2+3+2+3=10
  608. Narrator: Etna's attack will provoke combat immediately.
  609. Mike is disconnected.
  610. Avara: missed.
  611. Narrator: Don't forget to pay the PP.
  612. Avara: paying.
  613. Narrator: (( It's best to always pay it first, btw. ))
  614. Etna: Etna loses 3 power.

  639. Houndour 2: Houndour 2 frowns as it looks itself out, "What was that just now?"
  640. Narrator: Minor action?
  641. Actinidia: "I'm not sure, but it tasted nice."
  642. Actinidia: Actinidia moved to the side.

  653. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  654. DNA: Question: Since Head Smash has a range of me moving in a straight line through opponents, what order does it happen in? Pay PP cost, move forward, then do the attack rolls against the target(s) from my end position?
  655. DNA: Also, does it have to be a compass-direction straight line, or just any movement from 1 place to another without hitting Spacebar?
  656. Narrator: Iirc, it's all within reach of you, in a straight line. So, pay, then move and attack, yes.
  657. Narrator: Former.
  658. DNA: Compass-direction? All right. First! As a minor action, I will move into position.

  677. Houndour: Houndour was slain immediately via that ram, its head twisted to an impossible angle upon landing!
  678. Houndour 1: (( I assume you rolled it. Unless you have something else adding 1d6? You rolled 3d6. ))

  861. Narrator: It's okay, Grace. This is your first go. And what DNA said.
  862. Avara: No need to apologize. getting used to new things is a session 1 thing
  863. Narrator: Sometimes it can take several sessions. It's no big deal.
  864. Avara: in fact it's probably as much as a session 10 thing. so no worries.
  865. Narrator: So, here's my suggestion.
  866. Narrator: You began there.
  867. Narrator: You can move 8 squares before using bone rush.
  868. Narrator: Moving there with your 8 square movement allowing you to, at minimum, move 3 squares.
  869. Grace Leonhardt: Yeah, that's a soliid idea.
  870. Narrator: Rolling your 1d6+dexterity you then move east in a straight line and swing at all opponent's in your range.
  871. Narrator: Which is anything within 1 square as you move.
  872. Narrator: Houndour 3 will be within range, for example.
  873. Narrator: Go ahead and roll your movement.
  874. Grace Leonhardt: 4
  875. Grace Leonhardt: [1d6+2}
  876. Narrator: Go ahead and roll an attack against Houndour. You get a +1 bonus for outnumbering him.
  877. Grace Leonhardt: Why does that work sometimes and not at all next???
  878. Narrator: Oh wait, I forgot pierce, +2.
  879. Avara: you're holding shift
  880. Narrator: It's a ] vs. } thing.
  881. Grace Leonhardt: 9
  882. Grace Leonhardt: fuq... sorry me am brain hard. =3=
  883. Avara: *pets grace* no worries
  884. Narrator: Nah, it's alright. I'll help you.
  885. Narrator: 12 vs. DEF
  886. Avara: we all were in your shoes at some point.
  887. Narrator: And apparently I don't help very well. I roll like crap.
  888. Narrator: After all that, you miss Houndour. I'm sorry.
  889. Narrator: Top of the order! Round 3!
  890. DNA: Even with it being outnumbered?
  891. Actinidia has received initiative.
  892. Narrator: It was factored in.
  893. DNA: ah
  894. Narrator: tbf, that Houndour did use Flame Charge.
  895. DNA: Oh, that'd be why
  896. Actinidia: Actinidia attempts an E-Strike on Houndour3!
  897. Actinidia: 3+1+2+2=8
  898. Actinidia: Nyeop
  899. Actinidia: Done
  900. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 is dodging like a boss right now.

  902. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 loses 3 power.
  903. Houndour 3: 5+4+6+3=18
  904. Houndour 3: vs. Defense!
  905. Avara: yeah, that'll hit
  906. Houndour 3: Dex (Acro) vs. 13, plz.
  907. Etna: 5+5+2+2=14
  908. Houndour 3: Houndour 3's bite deals 7 Dark Damage and does not stun Etna!
  909. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  910. Etna: Etna loses 7 health.
  911. DNA: So in clarification about Aim, it has to be the very next action I take? I couldn't move and then attack to gain the Aim bonus?
  912. Narrator: It's your next attack, not next action.
  913. Narrator: And it doesn't need to be next turn.
  914. DNA: Huh. That is totally not how I read it inthe PDF.
  915. DNA: "If your next action (even on a future turn) is a melee attack or ranged attack, you gain a +1 bonus on your attack roll."
  916. Avara: miswriting, perhaps?
  917. DNA: Either way, I'm going to attempt an E-Strike against its Special Defense.
  918. Pierce Mars Oswell: 2+2+6+2=12
  919. Pierce Mars Oswell: Critical Hit
  920. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 is struck! Critically.
  921. Pierce Mars Oswell: Deals 7 Rock damage, accounting for the crit.
  922. DNA: gross
  923. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 takes 12 damage!
  924. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 loses 12 health.
  925. DNA: wait, why 12?
  926. DNA: ...wait did I say accounting for the crit
  927. Avara: did you do SE, DNA?
  928. DNA: I meant accounting for SE
  929. Avara: yeah
  930. Avara: just let kao do SE/NVE when you hit someone
  931. Narrator: Yeah, don't worry about SE. Target can handle that.
  932. DNA: okay.
  933. DNA: THen, I'll use Aim as a minor action, and pass.
  934. Avara: so it should heal 5 hp, if i'm reading it right
  935. DNA: Correct
  936. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 is healed and gains 5 health.
  937. Houndour 2: Houndour 2 rushes downstairs and exits the battle.
  938. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  939. Etna has received initiative.
  940. Etna: Etna attempts a ranged smack with rock-hard energy as well.
  941. Etna: 4+2+2+3=11
  942. Avara: i am a miss master!
  943. Grace Leonhardt has received initiative.
  944. DNA: Grace? You there?
  945. Grace Leonhardt: Yeah, just thinkin'
  946. DNA: Okay.
  947. Grace Leonhardt: She'll do another aura sphere at the houndoom
  948. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt loses 3 power.
  949. Grace Leonhardt: 4+4+1+0=9
  950. Houndour 3: I might as well be, as good as I'm dodging.
  951. Narrator: That would've been awesome too. D:
  952. Grace Leonhardt: 6
  953. Avara: the dice are not on our side today, no.
  954. Grace Leonhardt: darn
  955. Narrator: Yeah, if you literally rolled 1 higher, you probably would've killed it.
  956. Actinidia has received initiative.
  957. Actinidia: Actinidia Aims and then uses an E-Strike!
  958. Actinidia: 5+5+4+3=17
  959. Narrator: And then this happens!
  960. Avara: stoont
  961. Actinidia: Super Critical Hit! 9 Grass targeting Special Defense!
  962. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 takes 5 damage!
  963. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 loses 5 health.
  964. Actinidia: done
  965. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 bites at Actinidia!
  966. Houndour 3: 6+1+2+3=12
  967. Avara: DNA, how much move do you have?
  968. DNA: seven
  969. Houndour 3: Houndour 3's bite hits for: 6 Dark damage!
  970. Avara: dang. not quite enough.
  971. Actinidia: Actinidia loses 4 health.
  972. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  973. DNA: Not enough for what?
  974. Avara: was gonna say Aim+Charge
  975. Avara: for maximum to-hit
  976. DNA: Ah! Yeah, I'm 1 under
  977. DNA: E-Strike SpDef again
  978. Pierce Mars Oswell: 5+5+6+3=19
  979. Houndour 3: Whelp.
  980. Pierce Mars Oswell: Super Critical Hit
  981. Actinidia: and then there is this asshole
  982. Pierce Mars Oswell: 14 Rock damage. NOt adding the extra in this time.
  983. DNA: love you too Rob
  984. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 takes 19 damage!
  985. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 loses 19 health.
  986. Houndour 3: Houndour 3 is slugged with ROCK powahs!! In the face and it expires pitifully at Actinidia's feet.
  987. Actinidia: Actinidia watched, startled, as the rock struck the beast down.
  988. Etna: Etna takes a few deep breaths, trying to get past the rush of adrenaline. "So... by the rooms you busted out of, you're Pierce, Act and Grace, right?"
  989. Actinidia: "Y..yes. I am Actinidia."
  990. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Wait, what? I mean, I recognized your voices, but...really?"
  991. Narrator: Gonna just count this conversation after battle as a take a breather. So, I'll just start healing folks while you chat.
  992. Grace Leonhardt: Grace finally calms down, and flops onto her rear, still a bit hyped from fighting and doing... whatever she's done. "I uh... I am yeah... I'm Grace. So... you guys too?"
  993. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is recovers 5 power.
  994. Etna: "You all busted out of your rooms. I'm Etna. Despite being a quadrupedal quasi-extinct dinosaur."
  995. Avara: yup!
  996. Actinidia: Actinidia is healed and gains 9 health.
  997. DNA: 2+AUR+LV PP recovered
  998. Actinidia: ((Question! Does regenerator also boost Take a Breather HP regen?))
  999. Etna: Etna loses 9 health.
  1000. Etna: (( No ))
1001. Etna: "Whatever's going on... I don't know what. But we're all Pokemon."
  1002. Etna: (( Wait, yes. ))
1003. Etna: "... and you all are -tiny-."
1004. Actinidia: ((It makes sense either way. As written, it should boost Take a Breather. But as a free healing thing, I can understand if it doesn't.))
1005. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is healed and gains 9 health.
1006. Actinidia: "I think most pokemon are tiny."
1007. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt is healed and gains 0 health.
  1008. Actinidia: (( It does. ))
  1009. Actinidia: 2
1010. DNA: Oh, take a breather heals HP too? huh, forgot to write that in
1011. Actinidia: Actinidia is healed and gains 2 health.
1012. Actinidia: Actinidia is recovers 5 power.
1013. Etna: Etna is recovers 6 power.
1014. Etna: "Whereas I'm bigger than the hallway. As an Ama... uh. Ama-something. But I'm going to get bigger, if we can Evolve."
1015. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Is that what's going on? Is that why the door just got so tall?"
1016. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is recovers 5 power.
1017. Grace Leonhardt: "It's... I... don't really know. If this didn't feel so real, I'd still say I'm dreaming..."
1018. Pierce Mars Oswell: (I already healed the 5 PP up)
1019. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt is recovers 5 power.
1020. Actinidia: Also, you reduced Etna's HP, not restored.
1021. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 5 power.
1022. Etna: "Either one of us is hallucinating, or... yeah. We're all Pokemon. Lacking a psych degree and a way to stop hallucinations, I vote we keep going until we find the wind fish."
1023. DNA: AND PLAY THE EIGHT INSTRUMENTS OF THE SIRENS
  1024. DNA: I REGRET NOTHING
  1025. Avara: high five?
  1026. DNA: ^5
  1027. Avara: *high fives DNA*
1028. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I'm...still not sure what's going on, though I feel suspiciously more alert now."
1029. * Etna is presently just trying to focus on the whole 'keep everything and everyone together and be safe' part. Freaking out about killing can happen later.
1030. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...oh my god."
1031. Etna: Etna is healed and gains 9 health.
1032. Grace Leonhardt: "Wait, don't we need to I... I donno, grab our stuff or something...?"
1033. Pierce Mars Oswell: "This doesn't feel like a dream anymore. Everything is too clear. I can even smell the blood."
1034. Grace Leonhardt: Grace shivers at the mention of blood.
1035. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh god. What do I do. What do I do." Pierce slumped down on the ground and started shaking in panic.
1036. Etna: "Get on my back. I'll carry you guys around while we collect stuff."
1037. Actinidia: Actinidia seems to be calm about the situation. Though that could be troubling in its own way.
1038. * Etna lowers her tail to let Pierce climb up, dropping it in front of his face. "Having a tail is WEIRD."
1039. Avara: how many smalls can ride a large?
1040. Avara: also, how many of you are smalls?
1041. DNA: I'm actually tiny in this form (1 inch under! Noooooooooo!)
1042. Actinidia: "My limbs are weird. I don't know if I am meant to walk, crawl on all fours, or use my hands and slither.
  1043. Avara: ah.
1044. DNA: (but the HP and move mod is the same so I'm not bothered)
1045. Grace Leonhardt: Grace hesitates for a few moments, before just rolling with it, and going to si on the big pokemon, after grabbing the bed sheet and wrapping herself back up.
1046. Pierce Mars Oswell: "The only thing I know is I've been on all fours this entire time."
1047. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Grace is some kind of dog, Act is a...lizard? Snake? Don't know...and Etna is a dinosaur."
1048. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I don't know what's going on, but Etna lucked out."
1049. Grace Leonhardt: "I'm uh... if memory serves me right, I think I'm a riolu. And you're an Aaron."
1050. Etna: "Grace is going to grow up to be an anthro jackal with steel and kung fu magic. You're going to be the toughest guy around with rock and metal power, like a metal t-rex mixed with a triceratops. And Act's going to be a giant grass snake."
1051. Pierce Mars Oswell: "And I think fate dealt me a strange hand. You were all smaller than me before this. Now it's the opposite."
1052. Actinidia: "So what happened with this girl?"
1053. Pierce Mars Oswell: "No, my name's Mar-, er, Pierce, not Aaron..."
1054. Etna: "They were eating her when I got out. I don't know what happened before that."
1055. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...A triceratops? How can you be so sure?"
1056. Actinidia: Actinidia is gains 300 experience points.
1057. Etna: Etna is gains 300 experience points.
1058. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt is gains 300 experience points.
1059. Etna: "Pokemon. If this acts like the games and stuff, that's your final form. An upright t-rex-like bulky metal-and-rock creature with three horns."
1060. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is gains 300 experience points.
1061. Grace Leonhardt: Grace doens't really wanna look over. "Y-Yeah, sorry Pierce, I mean like... that's what you are now. Or at least the pokemon. You may start out super tiny and metalic, but you grow up to be pretty big, and like... back to being bipedal if you're missing that."
1062. Actinidia: "So I use grass. Grass doesn't do well against fire. And bugs I think. What else was there? I don't know my types, only the really common ones."
1063. Etna: "You want to avoid flying and poison too, Act."
1064. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I mean, I saw a bunch of people at the con into Pokemon, and I saw a lot of people I know play it, I just ... don't know what to do. Like what this means, or what I do, or what happened, or..."
1065. Etna: "Pierce, we'll help you through it. Pokemon's one of the things I know really well."
1066. Pierce Mars Oswell: "So I'm some...metal...baby dinosaur thing."
1067. Grace Leonhardt: "...If you wanna put it like that... yes...?"
1068. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Not much different than what I did before, but more's the wiser, I guess."
1069. Actinidia: "It could be worse. You could be a fish."
1070. Etna: "Yeah. You could be stuck as a fish."
1071. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh gosh... I hope people didn't turn into the aquatics away from water if this happened elsewhere.
1072. Etna: "Act, come on away from... the kid. There's not anything we can do for her right now."
1073. Actinidia: "I don't know about you, but I hope I can just fetch my recording equipment and keep doing my job. It's not like I met my buyers in person, a little hight disadvantage shouldn't hurt my career."
  1074. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Wait..."
1075. Pierce Mars Oswell: "If something like that happened to us, then...were those dogs also once people?"
1076. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh god, I may have just killed two people. Oh god."
1077. Etna: "I don't know. I think so, but some of them didn't talk like people do."
1078. Actinidia: "I don't know? I think they were. And they killed a child." Actinidia seemd rather matter-of-fact about her actions.
1079. Grace Leonhardt: "I... don't know if we can use stuff. I tried my phone and it looked like jibberish... oh... oh my god if ... those were people... I think I'mma be sick..."
1080. Etna: "Pierce, just try and hold it together. They were eating a kid, and you were just trying to stop that and stop them hurting us. You didn't do anything wrong."
1081. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Yeah, and...wait."
1082. Pierce Mars Oswell: "They were eating a kid!?"
1083. * Pierce Mars Oswell runs over.
1084. Pierce Mars Oswell: Perception (Seeing) to make sure that is, indeed, a human child.
  1085. Pierce Mars Oswell: 1+1+4+3=9
1086. Etna: "That's why I started fighting them. They killed a kid."
1087. DNA: (No need to stunt.)
  1088. Narrator whispers: It's a child. 6 years old.
  1089. Narrator whispers: Or was.
  1090. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Then..."
1091. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Then this didn't affect everybody. There's still people out there."
  1092. Etna: "We're still people."
1093. Pierce Mars Oswell: "So what made this person so, for lack of a better word, 'lucky'?"
  1094. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I meant...humans. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--"
1095. Etna: "I'm not offended. I'm trying to stop you from thinking of yourself as less than you are."
1096. Actinidia: "Yes, her." Actinidia was looking at the body quizically. "It's strange. I'm... offended that they killed a child. But, I'm not disgusted. I used to be uncomfortable around gore, very strange. Maybe it's because I'm a carnivore now? Or maybe because I'm a grass type and dismembered plants are going to be more disgusting".
1097. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I...might need a minute."
1098. Etna: "All of you head back to your rooms and get your stuff. When you're... emotionally ready, come back out. I don't think I can get much from mine."
1099. Etna: "I kind of... trampled everything."
1100. Actinidia: "We also don't know if she died before or during the big flashing and explosions. She may have died and then the pokemon found her."
1101. Grace Leonhardt: "... Okay... Etna? Right?"
  1102. Etna: "Yes. I'm Etna."
1103. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...no, I think she died because they found her. If what I heard was correct..."
1104. Grace Leonhardt: "S-Sorry, just... getting used to the new faces to names."
  1105. Etna: "I don't mind."
1106. Pierce Mars Oswell: "If...If I didn't recognize your voices, I'd be...scared out of my wits more than I am. ...And I probably might have tried to attack you next."
1107. Etna: "I'm just trying to get you all where you need to be so we can get ready. If this is going on here, we shouldn't stay -here-."
1108. Grace Leonhardt: "Y-Yeah... Staying here doesn't seem to be a good idea..."
1109. Etna: "Act. Are you alright?"
1110. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I don't even know if I can grab my stuff. I couldn't even grab a doorknob to get out of my room."
1111. Actinidia: "I feel a little tired, but I'm alright."
1112. Etna: "If you guys want to skip going into the rooms, we can try and get downstairs whenever you're ready."
1113. Actinidia: "I have a few personal things I want to grab." Actinidia nodded
1114. Etna: "Oh, and Act... I think you're supposed to mostly be bipedal, with quad optional."
1115. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I just...need a moment or two. To digest."
1116. Actinidia: "... and do I eat meat, or sunlight?"
1117. * Etna moves away from the bodies and tries to work out how to lay down. "Diets weren't covered in the games."
1118. Etna: "From what I remember, pokemon just all eat food."
1119. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Well, if your triceratops comments were correct, then...plants for me? But why does the blood smell appetizing?"
1120. Grace Leonhardt: "I wanna at least grab my cosplay bag... and maybe some clothes. I didn't realize I ran out here without some..." She'll say wraping herself a bit tighter in the sheet as she scurries off to her room to get her things.
1121. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...okay, really need time to think before I go off the deep end."
1122. Etna: "Because I also mentioned T-Rex? Probably an omnivore."
1123. Actinidia: ((I think we're at a transition point, and I'm hella tired...))
1124. You whisper to Narrator: Those traveler's bags I see, are they our stuff, or just stuff left around by somebody else?
1125. * Etna curls up on the floor, trying to match the sort of position brontosauri? used on TV.
1126. Narrator whispers: your starting gear. Left by somebody else. I did mention it as loot. Literally loot.
1127. You whisper to Narrator: okay, that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure.
1128. Narrator: Mmhm. I'll be pausing the game here until next week. Was just letting you all roleplay it out.
1129. Narrator: I gave exp. :3 For the session already.
1130. DNA: No other EXP cashout besides the 300 you mentioned earli-
1131. DNA: I type too many words.
  1132. Avara: yay~
1133. Avara: thanks for the awesome game.
1134. Avara: did everyone else have fun?
  1135. Grace Leonhardt: Ye!
1136. DNA: I did the one thing I wanted to do in the first session:
1137. DNA: Act out an existential crisis.
  1138. DNA: Achievement Unlocked
1139. Narrator: I'm glad fun was had.
1140. Avara: etna's doing her best to save hers for when we're out of the danger zone.
1141. Narrator: That being said: Saving campaign and log~
  1142. Avara is disconnected.
  1143. Grace Leonhardt is disconnected.
  1144. Actinidia is disconnected.
  1145. You have disconnected.
