  1. #Building
  2.
  3. ##General
  4.
  5. For builds, check [this page](http://www.grappul.com). While building in Smite is very situational, grappul offers a nice basic build that off of which
  6. you can base your own, optimized build. If you want me to go into details on a certain item / on all of them simply say so and I will.
  7.
  8. ##Useful items
  9.
  10. **Gem of Isolation**: *Very situational but potentially amazing item on her. Mainly for your ult, as it allows you to not only damage every enemy, show their locations to your teammates but applies a 5 man slow aswel! Use this if your team lacks good initiation.*
  11.
  12. **Soul Reaver**: *A great last item, if it's up while you ult you do a crazy ammount of dmg to the enemy with the most HP (support). Great to initiate a fight.*
  13.
  14.
  15. #Skills
  16. ##Skilling
  17. Keep in mind that everyone has their own preferences and that the "best" way to skill is the one that best suits your playstyle. There are, however, some basic guidelines that are worth following, which are what I'll try to list below.
  18. ###Prioritiy
  19. **4>3>1>2**
  20.
  21. *(Not everyone skills as I do, I personally find this to be the most effective way but feel free to experiment)*
  22. ###Until level 6
  23.
  24. Level 1: Shining Metal
  25. *For buffs & laneclear*
  26.
  27. Level 2: Clay Soldiers
  28. *Stun an laneclear*
  29.
  30. Level 3: Shining Metal
  31. *Better laneclear and poke*
  32.
  33. Level 4: Clay Soldiers
  34. *At level 2, you'll get a second soldier. This greatly increases your damage potential as you can two stuns out of one usage of your 2.*
  35.
  36. Level 5: Fire Shards
  37. *Pretty obvious, it's awesome!*
  38.
  39. Level 6: Mysterious Fog
  40. *Helps with clear, getting away, etc.*
  41.
  42. ###General
  43. Don't skill until the very second that you're going to use it. Keep your skillpoint ready incase the enemy tries to invade / your team needs you. Be ready to put a point in your escape ability if you need to get out quick: it's better to lose out on a little bit of earlygame power instead of giving away first blood.
  44.
  45. ## Strenght of Wood
  46. Hard to use effectively but very good if you know how to. You can use it to keep your enemies close to hit your other skills (damage from your 1/stun) or stopp them from killing you.
  47.
  48. ## Mysterious Fog
  49. A very useful skill. Helps to keep both you and your teammates off the minimap (if you want to backdoor), even with enemy minions present. Does ok damage, especially if you root / stun your enemy within it / in it's path. You can also hide your Clay Soldiers in it for a surprise stun.
  50.
  51. ## Clay Soldiers
  52. Invaluable. Helps with backdooring, stuns, magical protection removal, doing objectives, tanking dmg for you, zoning, blocking, etc. If you only use one of them for your stun you can get two stuns without having to cast this skill twice.
  53.
  54. ## Shining Metal
  55. Pretty straight up dmg.
  56.
  57. ## Fire Shards
  58. Many people only use this skill to kill off targets that got away with very little health, which is good but not all you can do with it. It's great for initiations, especially if combined with Gem of Iso and/or Soul Reaver. It shows your teammates the location of all enemies and stopps all non-combat items (e.g. greater blink) for being used. If you have Gem you also apply a global slow, which is nice if your team wants to focus a slippery target. With SR you can hit for quite a lot, even on their sup.
  59.
  60. #Tips
  61. ###Learn to use your passive
  62. This is what separates a good Nu Wa from a bad one, in my oppinion. Knowing when your passive is up is crucial and it can be used to stopp enemies from running, to keep them in place so you can land other skills / stun them, to keep them away from your enemy or in your teammates skills, etc.
  63.
  64. ###Use your 1's damage to it's maximal potential
  65. I don't see people using this skill effectively enough. The damage on your 1 isn't bad, and if utilized correctly it really stacks up. You have two skils to keep your enemy in place, your root and your stun. Whenever you apply those, they should already be in your fog. It's basically free additional damage.
  66.
  67. ###Use your 1's stealth
  68. Your 1 has a stealthing effect which is great. You can use it to sneak your minions up (spawn them within the fog, surprise stun your enemy) or to hide you and your teammates for a surprising gank, or even just to escape vision on the enemies minimap as the minions wont spot you if you're inside.
  69. ###Your 2 is not only a stun
  70. Using your minions to stun is great, but it's not all they do. They also remove the enemies magical protection when they execute their dash, so make sure to let them do that before you explode them.
  71. ###Get multiple stuns out of your 2
  72. If you have your 2 on level 2 or higher, you get multiple minions and even with just a Chronos pendant (it might even work withouth any CDR, I'll have to check) you can get your 3 off twice before the minions dissapear, allowing you to stun twice off of casting your 2 once.
  73. ###Your 3 also does damage
  74. People seem to forget that your 3 is not only there to activate your stun. It does damage, and a lot of it too. Use it.
  75. ###Your ult is great to initiate
  76. Your ult is great for picking up kills that your team wouldn't otherwise get, but it's also great to initiate. There's multiple reasons why
  77. ####Map
  78. Your ult shows your enemies on you and your teammates maps. This means that your whole team will know the exact location of every enemy and will know who to engage on.
  79.
  80. ####Combat mode
  81. Getting hit with damage puts a God into combat mode and prohibits the use of items like blink. This can be insanely valuable when you're doing an objective and the enemy support has blink and hog3. Use it when the Firegiant is getting low to stopp them from blinking in.
  82.
  83. ####5 man slow
  84. If you have the item gem of isolation, your ult applies a 5 man slow. Lategame, this is insane. It's a great way to initiate a teamfight and to give your team an advantage
  85.
  86. ###Select a VGS for you to use your ult
  87. Whenever I play Nu Wa in a team with random people, I tell them to use a certain VGS command that they should call if they need my ult. I usually select something like VGOO as this not used very often. Infight, it's hard to type out and even the best players can get tunnel vision and not see that an enemy is at low health. Doing this will allow your team to call for your ult when they need it, withouth having to stopp and type.
